Putting Tonari no Youkai-san on the watchlist.
I put it on hold after episode 3 wrapped up a sorta mini-arc. I really want to like it, but seems slower than I’m currently in the mood for. May come back to it later.

Watched the first 4 episodes of Astro Note & found it surprisingly enjoyable. The oddball cast of characters remind me of Rumiko Takahashi’s old-school romcoms. I find it particularly funny that the alien poodle has the same voice as Sukuna (JJK)
And then there’s the dad who always wears a suit despite being unemployed & the violent idol singer wannabe

Binge watched the first 4 eps of Kaiju No. 8 & wish I’d started it sooner. New anime-of-the-season contender. Not a good idea to eat while watching though. A combination of Chainsaw Man & early seasons of My Hero Academia seems like a good description. Appreciate that the MC is in his 30s (30 was actually a greater hit to my ego than 40, so relatable )

I didn't know there was a movie I will search it and watch this too. Do you know if that is available on crunchyroll?
Yes (in the US anyway). it’s listed as Legend of Crimson & takes place after season 2, before season 3.

I watched Konosuba - God's blessing on this wonderful world! the first season this weekend and enjoyed that. I have seen there are some other seasons I will watch of it this week too.
There’s also a movie that takes place in-between seasons 2 & 3.
And a prequel anime focusing on Megumin & Yunyun, but the general consensus is that it’s not as enjoyable.

Finally got around to finishing season 3 of Tokyo Revengers. An improvement over season 2, I’d put it on par with season 1.

Just finished Yuru Camp season 3 ep 4. As great a duo as she makes with Nadeshiko, it’s nice Rin has found someone to be badass with in Ayano
Though they did get in a bit over their heads on that last suspension bridge

Still a number of series I’ve yet to check out, but currently Mushoku Tensei is my AOTS.

Full ED song from Konosuba Season 3

Personal faves:
Azumanga Daioh (comedy)
School Rumble (comedy)
Yuru Camp (CGDCT)
Aria (unusual setting) 3 seasons & multiple OVAs/specials
The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today

I was looking forward to Konosuba season 3, but it seems that Crunchyroll isn't releasing a dubbed version?

Saw Spy x Family: Code White at the movies Thursday. Visually nice, but disappointing in every other aspect. Sadly, the franchise has lost just about all appeal for me.
Watched Malignant on Netflix today & plan to watch Joker tomorrow since both are leaving the service next week.

Their line-up page says there will be a dub, but no mention of when https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/seasonal-lineup/2024/3/13/crunchyroll-spring-2024-dubs-konosuba-black-butler-kaiju-no-8

CR has added a countdown clock to their site for the 1st ep of Kaiju No. 8. Unfortunately many times them hyping a series turns out to be a kiss of death. Time will tell I suppose.
Is One piece overated??

ALL of the “Big 3” are overrated IMO. One Piece is actually the one with the greatest appeal for me as I watched up to around ep 150 before burning out & it is the only one I even remotely consider revisiting some day.
The anime I’ve stayed with the longest is probably MHA (just watched ep 141) & frankly seasons 4&5 were disappointing & what got me interested again in season 6 was that it at least seemed to put the “End” in sight. It’s an rare series that can keep my interest for 100 episodes & most need far less. A satisfying conclusion can lead to an enduring legacy, conversely dragging things out to cash in on a pre-established fandom inevitably leads to embarrassment. And not just for anime (Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr. Who, The Simpsons, etc.)
