It depends on your sensitivities, but the Fruits Basket remake made me tear up on a regular basis through out it’s 3 year run.

Also I remember Figure 17 making me cry at times, especially towards the end.

The snow has started to fall & they’re predicting around 6 inches by the time it stops. The biggest issue will be temperatures as they’re predicting it will get to 0F (possibly below) overnight & stay frigid into early next week

Finally finished Racal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus. Honestly had a hard time staying interested in it. I think the next project is supposed to be a movie that wraps up the franchise. Probably a good thing since it seems like they’ve already resolved  the major story points. 

My Hero Academia Final Season - with the big battle over, looks like the final 3 eps will be dedicated to the aftermath & everyone’s attempts to recover & heal from their physical, psychological & emotional wounds. Even though this week’s episode was named after the Todoroki family, the most meaningful scene for me was between

. They’d have to screw things up real bad over the next 2 eps for this not to wind up my Anime Of The Year.

The roads were mainly just wet with a bit of slush, but there was a good 5-6 inches of snow on my porch & car this morning. Not overly cold (around freezing all day) but supposed to be much colder later in the week.

I started watching Umamusume: Road to the Top today & need to show some appreciation for Ayabe (Admire Vega)

Takopi’s Original Sin has a lot of similar  themes to Dededede, though be advised it can be pretty emotionally traumatizing.

A couple all time favorites

^ The Demon Slayer one had me in tears the first time I heard/saw it. One of the high points of the entire franchise IMO.

Slayers was one of the earliest anime I watched on VHS (as opposed to the heavily edited/Americanized stuff on syndicated tv). Have watched the first 3 seasons & all the OVA/Movie/Specials (the ones with Naga instead of Gourry). I have the discs for Revolution & Evolution-R, but never got around to watching them )

As far as Sailor Moon baddies, I think Berthier/Bertie/Birdy is my fave.

A bit too depressing to be one of my favorites, but still appreciate it as one of the most impactful & thought provoking anime ever created. Favorite characters would be Hange, Armin & Sasha.

Things were much busier when I joined in 2018, unfortunately there was bad blood between some of the staff and most of them & a lot of members left. Things never fully recovered, but things were more active earlier this year. But a member said somethings that were insulting to another which led to another group exodus. Sadly when the active community is small to begin with, things like that take their toll.
