Since your profile pic is Sukuna, is it safe to assume you’re watching Jujutsu Kaisen? If not, I highly recommend it.

Some recommendations from the shonen & seinen genres would be: Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba), Jujutsu Kaisen, Vinland Saga & Dororo (2019). If you’re interested in some less mainstream types of anime, I’ve seen a lot of them over the years too.

Season 2 coming sometime in 2021 (big surprise )
Still (not so) patiently waiting for when the movie will be available outside Japan

Log Horizon
Almost done with season 2, will probably start season 3 this week.

Nothing official yet, but could be seeing more Gon & Killua

A couple series I consider absolutely epic are Vinland Saga & Fate Zero (which is a prequel to Fate Stay Night & Unlimited Blade Works). You might also give Dororo (the 2019 version) a try.

A bit early, but I’m already shipping these two
(Kabane & Kon from Kemono Jihen)

When it comes to isekai, the one that stands out to me is ReZero, though the storyline for season 2 gets pretty complex.
Among the main stream titles I would recommend Demon Slayer & Jujutsu Kaisen. Finally for weird stuff like Sarazanmai I would recommend PenguinDrum, Planet With, FLCL, Flip Flappers, & Mob Psycho 100.

Sorry to say that in all the years I’ve been watching anime, I’ve never made it all the way through a Gundam series

Some observations now that we’re a month into the season:
UNDER THE RADAR (series that look promising but not getting a lot of attention): Wondet Egg Priority - this one has something of a Puella Magi Madoka Magica vibe to it as it has girls using magical abilities to fight against surreal manifestations of real life traumas like bullying, abuse & gender expectations. A word of warning, suicide is a central element of the story & it can be uncomfortable to watch at times, but there’s nothing visually graphic and it gives the impression of making a legitimate attempt to address some heavy topics instead of just for shock value or exploitation. Kemono Jihen - while it has some shonen traits, this series about adolescents whose parentage are half-human & half-yokai gives the impression that it will be address some more serious/darker topics, though not on the level of Jujutsu Kaisen. Not really part of or accepted of either the human or supernatural worlds, they’re called on to resolve matters where the two come into conflict. And the guardian of the MCs while not “bad” does seem like he has his own agenda & is willing to put them in dangerous situations..
UNDER-PERFORMERS (series that don’t seem to be measuring up to expectations): The Promised Neverland Season 2 - while still decent, even as someone who has not read the manga, it has felt rushed and that a lot of situations have been resolved too easily. Comments from the fandom indicate that a lot of the source material has been abbreviated or skipped over entirely. I consider this a shame in that what I was really looking forward to was some indepth world building now that the story has moved beyond the orphanage, but instead it seems like they are rushing to a conclusion. So I’m a Spidet, so What? - while it might seem unrealistic to expect much from yet another isekai series, the comments I’d seen on the source material have been generally positive and it did seem to be one of the more hyped titles that wasn’t a sequel. Unfortunately, your impression of the series will likely hinge on whether you find the MC’s frenetic improv monologues funny/endearing or annoying. While I’ll admit to a certain admiration for the voice actress’ performance (she’s also Tsuyu from MHA & the title character in Saga of Tanya the Evil), it still grates on my nerves similar to Excel Saga. While there are also sone human characters, there involvement has been minimal to thus point. And there’s the CGI. Some of it hasn’t been bad, but the most recent episode made me facepalm. Even after all these years, attempts to use CGI for hair or fur still looks awful more often then not. Again not a terrible series, but definitely disappointing IMO.
Finally, I’ve decided to wait & binge watch Re:Zero S2 Pt2 & Attack on Titan Final season instead of trying to follow them weekly due to the complexity of the stories.

I’m personally glad they’re looking to wrap things up, though I do hope the final season is another double couer (24 - 26 episodes). And am grateful they’ve managed to maintain the pace of 6 months on, 6 months off per year. Not surprised that the visual for the final season puts the spotlight on Tohru & Akito as the 2 opposing influences. Despite the somber tone, still hoping for some happy endings for everyone when it’s all over.

Binged the first 8 episodes of Log Horizon’s 2nd season over the weekend. While I wouldn’t call it bad, I do agree with the general consensus that it’s a step down from season 1.

Not at all. I started watching anime approximately 40 years ago even though I wasn’t familiar with the term back then. I still feel a special connection to older series like Star Blazers, Robotech, Cowboy Bebop & Azumanga Daioh. But continue to find new series that really stand out like Vinland Saga & remakes like Fruits Basket. The types of anime I watch now are much more varied than when I was younger & I don’t think I would appreciate many of them as much if I had watched them at an earlier stage of my life. With such a diversity of genres, I personally don’t see myself ever getting bored of anime.
Having said that, I do seem to burn out when a series drags on for too long (One Piece & Hunter x Hunter come to mind). And there are cases where trying to revive a series actually seemed to cheapen it (Cardcaptor Sakura & Inuyasha for example). -
CR has opened voting for it’s “official” anime awards for last year’s series for anyone interested.

Somewhat off topic, but for a good example of bad CGI, try to make it through the first episode of Ex-Arm. And CR actually claims this cringe fest as one if it’s “Originals”

As a fan of retro games, have to admit this looks kinda cool, though amplifying the originals’ sometimes frustrating level of difficulty

Dr. Stone wound up kinda "meh" for me but I'll probably watch the second season anyway.
Yeah , for a series where intelligence is supposed to be key, there are times when it can come across as pretty dumb :P Of the various sequel premiere episodes, I found it to be the most disappointing. But if season 1 is any indication, I’ll still find enough to enjoy to keep watching.
Hi! New here, so will introduce myself :)

For action, I recommend Jujutsu Kaisen.
And if you wind up liking Madoka Magica, I recommend Wonder Egg Priority. A word of caution it deals with some pretty heavy topics, namely the kind of traumas that lead to people committing suicide and how the people they leave behind try to cope with the experience.
