  1. This. Armin was always the idealistic one, while Mikasa’s motivation has always been her loyalty to Eren. Eren however has always been driven by his rage over what he perceives as being unjust or unfair. While this may at first seem as something noble, it’s based on his own moral code. After watching the 2 most recent episodes Actually the whole point of this season seems to be how war causes people to act in monstrous ways & the cycle repeats over and over as they & their descendants succumb to fear & resentment.
  2. Can’t really pick just one Some nostalgic favorites Some more recent faves
  3. I think you’re talking about The Ancient Magus Bride OVA story Those Awaiting a Star (it has 3 episodes). It’s a story from Chise’s childhood before meeting Elias, so a prequel from the main series, though told from the POV of her remembering it. https://myanimelist.net/anime/32902/Mahoutsukai_no_Yome__Hoshi_Matsu_Hito?
  4. Getting back to Re:Zero’s 2nd season since it concludes this coming week & it’s one of those series I find easier to binge than follow weekly.
  5. Welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy it here I’ve been watching anime for quite awhile myself
  6. After watching the first ep of the final season, I can only say the emotional rollercoaster continues. To say Akito has a dysfunctional relationship with her mother is an understatement Hanajima’s nightgown festival (pajama party) to try & cheer up Tohru was equal parts heartwarming & funny. And yes Megumi (Saki’s younger brother) you are a lucky boy indeed And thing ended on a humorous note with Shigure re-empathizing the importance of Tohru’s role in the household
  7. “Sone things take time to find, a long time maybe. Like a good friend, or a person to love. So, it wasn’t all for nothing.” - Megumi Hanajima, Fruits Basket S3, Ep1
  8. The dub version of Fruit Basket season 3 episode 1 is up early on Funimation’s site. Will check it out when I get home tonight.

  9. If you’re ok with the dub version, Funimation put up the first episode of season 3 early (I think you need to be a paid subscriber to watch, but not sure)

  11. As today is St. Patricks, decided to post GIFs of a banshee a leanan sidhe and a dullahan
  12. An upcoming series that might be worth a look https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-03-16/tsuki-to-laika-to-nosferatu-novels-about-vampire-cosmonaut-gets-tv-anime/.170710 Granted the whole vampire characterization pretty much sabotages the realism aspect but an alternate version of the space race between nations is at least an angle that doesn’t seem to get used much. Might be worth checking out.
  13. Fingers crossed for a reasonably local showing https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-03-16/demon-slayer-kimetsu-no-yaiba-film-opens-in-n-american-theaters-on-april-23-with-digital-release-on-june-22/.170693
  14. @Xiaoling This might be what you’re looking for
  15. The current schedule of shows will be wrapping up over the next couple weeks, I think the only one I’m currently watching that will carryover to April is So I’m a Spider, so What? A number of series are taking 3 months off before continuing in July including Reincarnated as a Slime, Mushoku Tensei & Attack on Titan I think. As far as new seasons that start in April for existing series I’ll be watching MHA (3/27), Fruits Basket, Zombieland Saga, Moriarty the Patriot & Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun for sure. Maybe Megalobox Nomad & SSS.Dynazenon
  16. Yeah, I set it aside after watching the first episode when it aired. Mainly decided to give it another look because it continues to rank well on MAL & not like I actually disliked what I saw. I will say it does a better job than most HS romance series in depicting the characters personalities & interactions. But that’s a double edged sword as I find most HS dramas to be overly angsty & melodramatic. And I tend to prefer characters who are at least somewhat older when it comes to romance/romcom series (Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Science Fell in Love... for example). Fruits Basket (the newer version) is something of an exception as the trauma the characters have been through makes them seem mature beyond their years. And the characterizations are so well done I can’t help but feel emotionally invested in what happens). Agreed. That one was a pleasant surprise & an adequate stop-gap measure while waiting for Yuru Camp season 2.
  17. @Wedgy I’m just always looking for an excuse to put my two-cents in (plus I watch waaay too much anime, especially lately ) For action I would recommend Jujutsu Kaisen or Akudama Drive. Similar to Berserk maybe Vinland Saga or Dororo. For something mature, Dorohedoro is extremely violent & has a twisted sense of humor (desperately needs a 2nd season)
