  1. <even if you are still in your 20s, there’s a big difference between 20 and 29 ... no, bon’t say anything> -_-; - Yuna, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
  2. And Crunchyroll has followed suit https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2020/12/22-1/crunchyroll-announces-winter-2021-anime-lineup?utm_source=editorial_cr&utm_medium=top-bar&utm_campaign=q1-2021_en&referrer=editorial_cr_top-bar_q1-2021_c Of course the buyout of CR by Funi is all but a done deal unless the FTC steps in. But looks like things remain separate for now anyway.
  3. Ghibli’s first fully CG movie coming soon https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-12-22/ghibli-1st-cg-feature-earwig-and-the-witch-previews-theme-song-in-english-video/.167757
  4. @merulox per the test you referenced: 60% Deredere, 20% Dandere, 10% Kuudere & 10% Yandere. Based on my opinion of myself I would say 70% Bakadere, 20% Dandere & 10% Shundere edit: just realized I already responded to this topic way back when I first joined the forum. Guess it goes to show the impact the past 2 years had on my self image
  5. New subtitled trailer. Really looking forward to this one.
  6. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-12-19/my-hero-academia-anime-5th-season-new-promo-video-reveals-march-27-premiere/.167618
  7. Funimation has begun listing it’s licenses https://www.funimation.com/blog/2020/12/16/this-january-season-enter-a-world-unlike-any-other-on-funimation-winter-2021/
  8. Akudama Drive episode 11 - finally got the big picture answers & ended on a heck of a cliffhanger for next week’s finale. Will probably still be just my #3 for the season, but has probably earned a place in my top 10 for 2020
  9. We are now less than a month a way from a new season of anime https://www.livechart.me/winter-2021/tv Most of the highly anticipated titles will probably be sequels as the industry tries to reduce the 2020/Covid backlog, but there are some interesting looking new series as well. For me: So, what are other folks looking forward to? Please share
  10. “There are three things that are just unforgivable for me: 1, getting interrupted while eating. 2, getting interrupted while gaming. 3, getting interrupted while sleeping!” “This bear is a little pissed off tonight.” - - Yuna, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
  11. Mid to upper 50s the next couple days. Pretty nice change of pace, even if it does stay kinda cloudy
  12. Lots of people die in pretty gruesome ways & some betrayals and examples of cruelty & corruption. Yes there are also instances of loyalty & hope of something better when the fighting is all over. But the sheer number of lives lost & ruined is depressing. Basically the old addage “War is Hell”
  13. A couple additions I would categorize as epic but bleak: Attack on Titan Vinland Saga Fate Zero
  14. Just watched this. Interesting start as the focus will apparently be on the young recruits of the opposing side of this hellish conflict for awhile before we find out what Eren & company have been up to during the 4 year timeskip. While the change in studios is noticeable, the carnage remains the same.
  15. Romcoms: Science fell in Love, Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun, Love is Hard for Otaku Yuri: Strawberry Panic, Flip Flappers (implied) Depressing: Now & Then, Here & There
  16. The Attack on Titan Chronicle movie (seasons 1-3 recap). While it’s a decent enough way to refresh your memory, new viewers really need to watch the actual episodes. Because of the late hour, I’ll wait till tomorrow before tackling episode 1 of the final season which premiered earlier today.
  17. Yeah, that ones got Anime of the Year locked in for me.
  18. While I’m aware that most members who post here prefer to binge series rather than watch them as they air, I’m hoping they’ve watched at least some of this year’s offerings & are willing to share their thoughts either on specific series or the current state of anime in general. Of course with Covid, a lot of the big name sequels wound up being delayed. Attack on Titan’s final season is scheduled to begin December 6th/7th, but many others are scheduled for January (The Promised Neverland, Reincarnated as a Slime, Dr. Stone for example) Even so I still found a number of series I enjoyed this year. Once the year is officially over, I’ll probably post a personal Top 10 along with some honorable mentions as well as some disappointments. As a bit of a preview, sone titles that will definitely make my list include: Fruits Basket (2019) 2nd season Jujutsu Kaisen Golden Kamuy season 3 Dorohedoro Science Fell in Love, so I Tried to Prove It So, what are some other folks thoughts? Please share
