Just to add my 2 cents to @viruxx comments. Nagatoro actually does come across as pretty mean in the first ep. But as the series progresses it becomes clearer she really does like senpai and gets almost as flustered as him except she’s better at hiding it. By the time the season was over I actually felt they were a cute couple, even though a certain level of lewdness persists throughout. So depending on how sensitive you are to that sort of thing, it may not be for you. One of my faves from last year & glad it’s getting a 2nd season.

Afraid not. Only CLAMP related news I’ve seen recently is that they’re planning to resume the XXXholic Rei manga. There was also a new anime adaption of Tokyo Babylon in the works, but there were plagiarism complaints related to the new costume designs. They said the project would go forward after the designs were redone, but no news since last year, so don’t know if it’s still viable.

I probably would’ve resorted to fire The sun came out here, but still expected to stay in the 70s(F), so about 10 degrees cooler than last week.

Got back into watching The Demon Girl Nextdoor’s 2nd season. Pretty entertaining but kind of annoying to have to keep pausing since there’s a lot of onscreen text.

Maybe 5 times a year. Mainly for MCU & the occasional anime film (So far this year: Jujutsu Kaisen 0 & Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) If it’s something I’m really hyped for will go for an opening night showing after work. Otherwise, will usually do a weekend matinee, so there’s like a $10 spread. Usually not. Outside of the prices, unlike at home you can’t put it on pause if you need to hit the restroom or take a coughing fit because a popcorn shell gets hung in your throat. At the JJK0 showing the english dub started playing even though it was supposed to be the subtitled version. People in the audience kept looking at each other & snickering. I think someone did get up & complain because after 10 minutes they started the movie over with the correct audio track. More of a favorite memory actually. When I was 13 my best friend’s mom took a van load of us to see Return of the Jedi. I remember the theater being packed and the audience just erupting (everyone clapping & cheering) when

I’m surprised that there’s an actual plot as my thought going into it was that it was mainly comedy. There’s that too, of course, mostly banter driven.

And that is the primary reason I don’t think you should worry about what any haters think. They’re entitled to their opinion but it doesn’t mean anyone else’s is invalid. As to my own opinion, I consider it one of the best anime of last year & one of my favorite mecha series, largely because it does incorporate some complex issues in it’s story & characterizations. Is it an exhaustive study? No, but it’s not 2-dimrnsional or gimmicky either as far as I’m concerned. I’d actually be curious to know your opinion once you’re done watching. Personally hope it gets a continuation someday.
