  1. I'm not usually one to watch series weekly, as they air, but I'm trying something new and I've found a few I am really enjoying so far.

Of course the Furuba reboot is tops on the list. Not sure why I decided to try watching Hitoribocchi, but I'm surprised by how adorable I find it. Honestly from the synopsis, I thought wtf is this, but I wasn't liking anything else and decided to give it a go, and was pleasantly surprised by how cute it is. Then I found a pretty nice sports anime about a high school girls baseball team called Hachigatsu no Cinderella nine that is a bit on the slow side, but not half bad. And I found a second Diamond no Ace series, so I'm following that. I'm not sure if there're any other anime I'd not mind watching from this season. I actually enjoyed a good few released in the last year and a half.

  2. I've been doing a lot of re-watching and starting random series as of late, having way too much time on my hands. I honestly have a hard time NOT re-watching a few certain titles. For a while, I wasn't finding many new releases that I found interesting. I kinda took my time finishing several larger anime, and put off watching a few hyped-up anime that had huge popularity. Until this year, I tended to wait until an anime had at least half of the initial season online, then I'd start. So far I'm following 4 new spring anime from this year as they are released. It's a different experience for me to be impatient for an anime from the very first episode as they're being aired. I'm not very good a being patient, I think. Aa far as anime goes at least. And some webcomics.

  3. For the question, it would really depend on the genre for me. I have lots of I anime I'd recommend, but I'd ask for preferences of genre first. Slice of life: Azumanga Daioh/Hyakko. Shounen sports: Eyeshield 21/Major. Shounen battle: Fairy Tail/One Piece/Naruto/Boku no Hero. Magical Girl: Sailor Moon/Nanoha. Action comedy: Slayers/HSD Kenichi. Iseikai: Overlord/Reincarnated as a Slime. Music SoL: K-On!/Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.

In response to the second question, I'd try an get my younger self to watch Sailor Moon sooner, or maybe actually finish all of the Nanoha series'. Or have found Major when it came out. I cannot stop rewatching that series or Eyeshield. I can only equate those to regret in stopping my involvement in sports as a preteen.

I'll always tell anyone who likes magic and comedy to watch Slayers. All of it. Especially the OVAs. Friggin HILARIOUS.

  4. I can't list everything I prefer, but I did try to find some non-yuri pairings I find awesome.

    #1 Haruka & Michiru - Sailor Moon

    #2 Natuski & Shizuru - MaiHiME/Otome

#3 Diana & Akko - Little Witch Academia

    #4 Soifon & Yoruichi - Bleach

    #5 Soul & Maka - Soul Eater

    #6 Lina & Sylphiel - Slayers

    # 7 Goro & Kaoru - Major

My actual all-time favorite pairing isn't from an anime, so I didn't add them.

For me it feels like people don't actually look at me before addressing me in such a manner. To them, retail workers are just a part of the scenery of a store. We're only their to do our jobs and do what they need our help for.

As for what your case, it probably wasn't a big deal for her, but that's not the case for everyone. I personally find that when people realize they made a mistake and don't have the manners to apologize a little off putting. To me apologizing for a genuine reason is a great way to smooth over any misunderstandings. But that's just a personal belief. To each their own, as the saying goes.

And x2 on everything else. My issue is with people's attitudes. Like if you're working in direct contact with customers, maybe don't be so bitchy. I hate when I go to a restaurant or any type of store and here the employees cussing. I may look and dress in a way that you wouldn't think I'd care about that, but it really grinds my gears. Plus a negative attitude makes for a really long day.

But, it's easy for me to say since I'm not in direct contact with people. I work in a car shop and the service advisors get the joy of dealing with customers.

That I understand as well. I'm just really really tired of having to play "happy little robot" when I'm depressed as hell and just have a really difficult time even crawling out of bed and attempting to have a life. I also get judgement from both sides of the coin because I'm transgender and was working in customer service. Being misgendered constantly and being looked at and talk about like I'm some sort of alien masquerading as human is causing severe mental health problems and I can't deal with the idiocy of others, my own identity, and being a parent all at once. So, I quit multiple jobs since last summer that involved being in customer service, but I can't get any other jobs because that's my only job experience. It doesn't help that both the colleges I attended folded like houses of cards. So, being a "happy little robot" because "the customer is always right" is a little beyond my mental capacity for the immediate future.

    Sorry for the rant.

  7. I honestly enjoyed the crap outta this for a good while. I haven't gotten around to watching the last two episodes, but I want to see how it ends. I was surprised to learn that this was actually inspired by Ashita no Joe. Truly a classic, and Megalo Box lived up to the spirit in spades.

  8. Honestly, I have a feeling that after nearly 22 years of serialization, if Edo-sensei pulled something like that, it would cause a huge riot or something. I can't really see a good reception if the series had an ending like that. I don't really think the fans would be happy with an ending that didn't have Luffy obtaining the One Piece and becoming the King of Pirates. Not that I wouldn't mind a twist I'd be surprised by. I actually hate being able to predict the plot of something I'm watching/reading. It's really disappointing to know what's coming from a mile away; it bores me and I quit watching/reading. That's why I've always liked One Piece, it's so insane that I can't really predict much at all :).

So for it to end without the Mugiwara no Ichimi achieving their goals/dreams could be problematic, but not unwelcome for me.

  9. In the last couple of months or so, I've stayed current on One Piece and Black Clover, started and finished Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Hinomaru Sumo, Reincarnated as a Slime, Zombie Land Saga, Girlish Number, season One of Saki(a partial re-watch), Wataten, and Demi-chan wa Kataritai. I've started season 2 of Saki, Captain Tsubasa, Fruits Basket remake, season 2 of BanG Dream, Diamond no Ace II, and Hachigatsu no Cinderella Nine. I've started re-watching Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon, Eyeshield 21, Hyakko, Princess Nine, finished Monster Musume, and tried starting a rewatch of Yuru Yuri. I've got a lot of shows added to my cruchyroll queue, but haven't started working through them. I have Skip Beat added for a third go through, want to restart and finish Third: Girl with the blue eye and a few others.

Being unemployed and in awful health has given me too much time.

  10. I really had forgotten how much I adored the original series when I started watching the first episode earlier this week. I feel really torn about the difference in Yuki's seiyu, as I felt that the feminine voice matched the androgynous appearance. But I also find myself pleasantly surprised at the depth and range achieved by the new seiyu has portrayed so far. I felt more from the lines than I did in the original, and there was some much more to them than I got from re-watching the episodes of the old one. It's honestly baffling how torn I am over that. Overall, the remake is wonderful, and I know I'm in for the long haul. The animation studio is doing an amazing job and the art is super polished and as a fellow artist, I'm really enjoying the improved style.

It's a saying some people have in reference to oneself. Basically looking out for themselves over caring about anyone else. Or feeling that they're more important than people you provide services to the public. Or that retail/customer service jobs are beneath them and the people that work them are basically dumb or just worthless in their eyes. It's just infuriating that people think that the person working a job for a living has no meaning or isn't a worthwhile person to at minimum be courteous to.

I figured the legalization of marijuana would calm everyone down, lol, guess not.

Honestly, a lot of people do, but it's not really true. Most people are more self-centered than ever before in a lot of areas. Especially just outside of downtown. It's all about looking out for #1 anywhere around the central part of the Denver Metro.

What did you think of working for first transit. I would imagine it could be rather tough, but at the same time a lot of driving gigs pay well too.

It wasn't bad until I was always driving through downtown Denver. The people are especially rude as soon as you get close to the Broncos stadium and it stays that way pretty much through the rest of the east part of the Metro here. It was a lot of stress I didn't need, so I had to quit before it got too bad. I loved driving up north through Broomfield, Northglen, Thornton, and Westminster. Especially the route through FlatIrons Crossing. Everyone is nice and never had a bad word to say to me.

Decided to give As Miss Beelzebub Likes It another chance since Miss Vampire Who Lives in my Neighborhood & Anima Yell are alright, but not really meeting my weekly need for cuteness. It's actually more entertaining now that there are more characters and I'm getting to like Mullin & Beelzeboobs better now.

If you have Netflix & haven't seen it yet, you might try 7 Deadly Sins as it has some similarities to Black Clover

I've actually kinda been not watching that series out of choice. I'm not sure why, but a part of me really doesn't wanna watch it. Not sure why that is.

Essentially a trained assistant to a veterinarian.  They often do the weighings, triage, sample collection, and so forth to free up the veterinarian's time and help streamline the process.  A good vet is valuable.  One with good vet techs too is priceless.

My friend would love this comment. She's a vet tech at a vet hospital close to my apartment.

Starting a new job, again. This time it's a call center for rent to own homes in Colorado and a credit repair service. I dunno about the pay yet, though just showing up is $14 an hour to start. I think I should've tried staying on as a bus driver. I woulda been making $20 an hour.

  16. I tend to stick more to alternative and metal as far as domestic(to me) music. I despise 95% of modern Rap and R&B. The only good modern rappers are on Youtube and the current king, Eminem. The rest probably couldn't produce a meaningful song even if a top tier song writer just handed them a fully finished song. I apologize if that offends anyone, but I find modern rappers to be giant caricatures.

As far as pop goes, it generally all sounds the same to me. I like listening to some of it, especially Bruno Mars and P!nk, but I have to really like a track to listen to much modern stuff produced here in the states that isn't alternative or metal.

  17. I'm actually looking forward to seeing this reboot. I honestly loved Furuba minus the ending a lot. It was, truthfully, the first slice of life anime I ever watched. I loved the characters and the dynamics between them. I honestly felt empty with the way they ended the original anime series and always felt that it should be redone. I'm really glad that this is getting a proper rework that will be more faithful to the manga(hopefully).

As far as Laura Bailey is concerned, I don't mind her as a VA, but her version of Tohru was the wrong timbre and depth for the character, imho. I honestly adore her as a VA, but I couldn't watch the dub of Furuba at all. And it wasn't just because of her. The whole cast was lacking, and I'm glad to hear that a new staff was requested. I honestly think Caitlin Glass would do a great job in the same capacity she had in the American release of Ouran. I don't think she'd be a good fit for Tohru, however. I'm just really looking forward to seeing Furuba redone.

  18. I'm just only playing BotW right now, though I will have a day or so where I just minecraft for hours or play a new season or two on rocket league. I love my PS4 for everything it does, and the selection of games for a PS console usually decimates XBox or Nintendo consoles. I did however have my mind blown at the sheer quantity of games on the Nintendo EStore for the Switch. I spent an hour scrolling through and still didn't go through all of the titles.

I am eagerly looking forward to KH3 and am sorely tempted to dive into FFIV.

  19. I bought a season pass thing for Breath of the Wild recently. All just for the ancient saddle that allows you to warp call horses. $30, but the content is seriously worth it. I'm still looking into getting more games for my Switch once the holidays pass.
