  1. Oh that's nice. Well done! Alright, currently I'm working on 2 projects. This will get long. Bear with me. 2 years ago I created a website called Anime Gauge. Basically, it's rotten tomatoes or metacritic for anime. (if you're familiar with those types of websites) I just thought it was a good idea. I gather anime reviews from bloggers and websites all over the Internet. Then I average the review scores to come up with a universal average. (how a review aggregation website works) Then I rank the anime from worst to best. It has ranked 975 anime as of this writing. I really like how it turned out. And personally I use it to see what anime to watch next. Thanks to it I've watched some awesome anime I never knew existed. haha Here's a picture: If you're interested it's at www.animegauge.com My 2nd project I just recently started. It's a crossover fan-made manga of Death Note and Bleach. The story was written by Alex Lawson. And it takes place after L dies and wakes up in Soul Society. Here is page 1: (I'm an amateur artist by the way haha) And I just remembered I made a horror mystery text game (it's nothing fancy nothing amazing) A family was massacred by something and it's up to you to unravel what happened. I didn't finish it though. But if you like it just let me know and I will make another chapter. It's called The Porter Diary. Story is by "luckynamegame" and can be played at https://raiejimenez.itch.io/the-porter-diary Finally, (yaay! This post is almost over.) Feel free to support my Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/ryandavejimenez For those who don't know, Patreon allows you to support creators/artists/projects for as low as $1 every month. If you're a creative individual, give it a shot.
  2. Oh thanks @ArchieKun I actually had a tough time writing it. haha Man writing is hard. Respect to writers and authors everywhere.
  3. Thank you. I do try to keep it simple as to help more people.
  4. I wish you a speedy recovery. I have had lymph nodes swelling but they're very minor. And don't bother me at all. It's nothing compared to your experience.
  5. I love that sketch by the way. It's really well done.
  6. Clubs do make you feel like a character in an anime though... Going around looking for first years who aren't signed to any clubs yet. Then the school wants to close down your club since it needs like at least 5 members.
  7. This is the first entry in a series on how to make your own web manga. Every creative project starts with an idea. This idea compels an artist to act. The artist then starts creating. And in the end, you get something creative. A manga is no different. Before you can draw, you have to write, and before you write, you have to get ideas. Particularly, story ideas. But how do you get story ideas? And not just any story idea. How do you get good story ideas? Mind Mapping Start by getting a pen and piece of paper. (Or use your computer like I did.) Write down any word that comes into your mind. It doesn’t matter what it is. Any will do. Ball. (That’s a word that crossed my mind as I’m typing this) Next, write down another word that is related to the first one. Basketball. (Ball was my first word) Add a third word that is related to the second one. Lebron James. (Basketball was my second word) Keep going until you can’t think of any related words anymore. Let’s say I got stumped at my fourth word. (LA Lakers) Ball > Basketball > Lebron James > LA Lakers Go back to the previous word and think of a new related word. (I go back to Lebron James) GOAT. (A new word that relates to Lebron James) Continue until you run out of words. Go back to the previous word if that happens. Repeat until you’re out of new words. Ball > Basketball – Lebron James > LA Lakers > ??? Ball > Basketball > Lebron James > GOAT > beard > ??? Ball > Basketball > Slam Dunk! > ??? Ball > Volleyball > ??? Ball > ??? I can now come up with story ideas thanks to my finished mind map. Here are a few: A manga where the main hero is trying to get in the NBA. A great basketball player reincarnated as a goat. A manga where there is a futuristic sport combining basketball and volleyball. Mind mapping is a technique that helps you generate ideas. It’s typically used in business but I found it to be effective in creative endeavors too. However, the quality of ideas generated will depend on your ability to read between the lines. Do not look at a mind map literally! Let your creativity flow to get the best results. Once you have selected a story idea we can now move on to the next step. Expanding that story idea.
  8. Yup a lot of fans didn't know. Even to this day some are asking when is season 2 coming out?
  9. I really appreciate how this forum has a feature that automatically searches for possible duplicate topics. I was about to create a new topic on why is the creative corner archived. And it led me to this. I was thinking of sharing some of my creative projects but I don't really know where. This topic has been helpful.
  10. I clicked on this topic thinking, For sure most people will say female. Then I voted and saw the results.... Yup I knew it. hahaha I switch back and forth actually. If I played as a male last time then I choose female. And vice versa.
  11. haha You're definitely not the norm. Although I'm in my 30's (old for the fandom) but I have no plans of slowing down too.
  12. I think that's a good explanation for why people wait for new year to make a change. Because it's easier to look back and remember when you started. It's easier to say, Oh I've been exercising for 6 years now. I started in 2017. Rather than Oh, I've been exercising for maybe 6 years now. I started around 2017. Maybe mid 2017. But I agree with what most people already said. There's no need to wait for new year to change/improve. You can start tomorrow. Or in the next 5 minutes.
  13. Thank you mods for all your hard work. Hope this problem is finally over.
  14. It's interesting. I noticed that the anime fandom tends to peak at around that age. And tapers off as you get older. Anyways glad you're back in the fandom. And welcome to the forums!
  15. You're still a better person than me. haha I guess just be careful as some people can get really dependent on you. I had co-workers in the past who kept borrowing money from me because I lent them money in the past. They think I'm always available to give money.
  16. Yeah like what most people already said. We just need enough money. Not really millions or billions. But just enough to keep living decently. As long as you have a place to sleep, food to eat, electricity, clothes to wear and so on that's enough for me. And there was a study done that showed past a certain amount of money, it makes no difference. It doesn't add to your happiness anymore. And good for you @XII360 for helping others. You're a good person.
  17. SPOILERS BELOW! About the manga, I haven't read it. It does continue but some say the story gets too confusing. I do plan to check it out. At what point did you stop watching the anime?
  18. Oh I thought they now made their own anime. haha I recently watched Hunter x Hunter. Yup hands down the best shonen of all time. One Punch Man, can't wait for season 2. It took them a long time though. Kinda lost some of its momentum. I have to watch My Hero Academia season 3. Definitely looking forward to it. I enjoyed the first 2 seasons. Reminds me a lot of Harry Potter though. Attack On Titan, I stopped watching after the 1st season and went with the manga instead. Is season 3 out already? Steins; Gate probably my favorite show. Did you watch the new one? Is it as good or better than the 1st? And I haven't watched the others but will definitely check them out. Thank you!!
  19. Can you give some examples? I wanna check them out.
  20. Yes hello and welcome!! I love your avatar. And yeah, China and Korea has been getting into the anime industry lately. I think it's awesome. As fans it gives us more choices. What do you think?
  21. A quick Google search seems to indicate it is "questionable". It might be malware itself. But I haven't heard or used that software. I personally use Avast Anti Virus and Malware Bytes. Both are free. And I can vouch for them.
  22. I'm sure you can do it too. It's not really hard once you get used to it. The eating right part is harder. It's hard to give up chocolates, cake, fast food and so on. haha
  23. That is quite interesting. Personally, I have never felt anything like that. Aside from the normal getting sad during depressing scenes while watching. Thank you for sharing your feelings though. That's a really courageous thing to do. Maybe you connect with anime in a more intimate way than usual? How did you get into anime?
  24. I recently just read the manga and it's unfortunate the author passed away. It's a shame the story was left unfinished.
  25. Yeah rest and relaxation is important too. Can't be going at full speed all the time.
