Is it possible to select more than 1 main and sub genre?
I think it's rare for a person to have just 1 favorite genre. Usually you have favorite genres.
But if its not possible that's okay. I will still vote.Yes, but in order to gauge the true accuracy of our communities interests, it has to be evenly voted upon by each individual.. the only way to do that is to request that everyone only selects the same number in each category. I'm afraid that wouldn't be the case if I opened it up to multiple choice, so setting it at 1 per individual is the most realistic for this purpose.

I don't recall saying I'd shoot to kill.
I think this topic is getting out of hand.
You're right, it looks like you simply made a typo. I'm glad you didn't write something like that intentionally. And I'm sorry for continuing derailing this post. Supposedly, although since we are on topic of the question of morality, it's not really off topic, just hijacked from the creator perhaps.
@SanguineTear On the topic of morality; everyone has the right to change their ways, not simply be put to death, otherwise the death penalty would be the only choice rather than imprisonment. Doesn't that seem to follow that logic?

Never realized soda was such a thing in the US, it's like a whole culture based around it
As far as I know it is just another type of beverage here in Europe. I did try that Dr. Pepper though, but wasn't too big of a fan.
Funny that you mention there being culture around it. It's true, and the worst are gamers and kids. It's led to a bit of an obesity epidemic in our youth, but in the last ten years people have taken notice and started to make better beverage choices overall.

There's a Mexican drink we have privy to here that's apple flavor, it's pretty good. Too sweet for my taste, ironically because I'm sure Coke products are the worst.

@Seshishooting to injure, while it may sound morally right, is sadistic. I feel like if I was being attacked, I wouldn't go for the kill, I would do something to make them hate living.
@Illusion of Terra To be or not to be?
But Nono, you say you'd shoot to kill, but make them hate living? That's a contradiction.
Shooting to injure is a kindness. At least they can live on to make better choices in the future. There are plenty of ways to give someone a recoverable flesh wound and still stop them from attacking you.

I used to really love Mountain Dew for a soda pop, however I don't drink it anymore and I'm really happy about that.
Yea, they aren't healthy of course.. pretty much the exact opposite.. especially if consumed regularly like many Americans tend to do.
I have never been a "regular" soda drinker, I just have them on occasion, and I really prefer Ramune strawberry, or strawberry Aloe drinks for Ann occasional treat.

And what about someone who is in constant, almost unbearable pain and wants to die but cannot end his own life? I'm not saying it is right to kill him, but there are quite a lot of people that do think so and decent arguments they put forth.
As long as the person is seeking death, then it's ok. But it's not right to make that decision for someone, unless they have a will and are unable to decide for themselves.
If I am fighting in war, I would shoot to kill. If I were fighting in self defense I would follow escalation of force, shout, show, shove, shoot. But even then I'd hopefully aim to injure rather than kill. I had succeeded in the past at being compassionate towards aggressors. Sometimes people can redeem themselves.

I feel that I have a high sense of morality, but this test does not agree.
the only thing I failed to be morally objective about was when it asked if I would let my daughter die to save 10 other children.. I knew it was wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'd save my daughter first.
as far as the other questions go, it's never right to take the life of someone to save others. Unless that means we are literally ending the life of a murderer. Other than in war.
Also doctors work by triage and do their best to judge whose life is in danger and work accordingly. They try their best, and if they aren't doing things that way, they are wrong. Such as doing more quick jobs for the money, but leaving other patients to die.

There have been many soft drink flavors to come & go, it's always sad when your fav drink is discontinued because it didn't gain enough traction.
My Fav was Coca-Cola blak. It was a mixture of espresso with Coke, and cream soda flavor. Delicious!
Now they have released an orange Vanilla Coke, that could be good, if it was made with cream soda instead of Coke.. but the Coke makes it taste like orange motor oil instead of Orange Creamsicle like my friends claimed. So disappointing.

I start new hobbies all the time and my husband thinks I never follow trough with anything
Because I end up not being able to continue doing the hobbies I once was so engrossed in.
for instance, before I got pregnant with our first child, I wanted to become good at tennis. I never had instruction or played in any tournaments- I'm kinda shy.. and I guess it's easier to not put myself out there as a first timer being an adult.. an out of shape adult at that.
but since having our child I have even less time for outdoor sports, since she doesn't go to childcare.
last year I really wanted to learn volleyball after watching Haikyu! And that hasn't gone anywhere either - still the same delimma with no time to go play with others to improve.
guess I need to find some more solitary hobbies, but I'm more interested in sports.
I like martial arts as well, but would prefer to practice with others as opposed to learning online.
So for the time being, my hobbies include meal planning and seeing my friends with kids, and trying to make my daughters life enriching.
Also in the evenings I gather the family for a round of dancing, trying to learn line dances right now.

i googled the recipe, that's how i knew i could make one (and that i could get the recipes in my area xD)
alas, the taste of defeat, is but not far, for the taste of defeattastes like burnt bread <.>, least the buttery-part was delicious, that's good enough for me
Just watched a melon bread cooking video and boy I can see why you've only tried making it once! Hella steps!!
You could try making it again using a quick recipe like canned biscuit dough or croissant dough, and just making the melon flavored topping, drizzling it on afterwards, like you do for cake!
whenever I bake a cake from scratch, and it calls for a confectioners sugar glaze topping, I just put it on after it comes out of the oven, instead of baking it on, maybe you'll have more joy from that instead of burn bread taste?
I've done lemon infused confectioners glaze by using lemon extract, I imagine it's the same flavor your going for?
brush your bread with butter still, or buy the buttery kind of canned dough and you may find a satisfying substitute for melon bread

I looked this game up and it looks rather interesting and fun to me to be honest. I would play it myself if I could but ..I don't have the right system to play it on sadly. *sighs* I guess in the future perhaps.
If you have a game resale store near you they may be able to help
12 hours ago, SanguineTear said:Yeah I played this a couple years ago after finding out about it from YouTube videos. Definitely think the combat system is neat with the timing element added so you arent just sitting there. I think Meru was my favorite character in terms of combat. Actually just overall my favorite.
Lavitz was my favorite character
Really devistated by his death
I haven't played this game in 18 years
I still have it, but it's been so long since I've hooked up my old PlayStation (for the longest time I didn't have the power cord).

it didn't taste like melon bread, i think, but it was kinda good ?
atleast...10% of it (the lemon-buttery part), the other 90% was the taste of failure
it was burnt, i never tried to make another one again q.q
I love that you tried to make melon bread
How adventurous!
now, did you google a recipe, or kind of just wing it?
I like the improvised lemon butter, sounds like you could have had a yummy bread if you hadn't burnt it along with the Dream of delicious melony bread.

I love watching Space Operas and Reverse Harems and they comprise large portions of my owned collection as well. I store my collection by main genre (makes finding something to watch when I only have a vague idea of what I want to watch easier) but I would imagine Supernatural would be my third largest, and it is up there (and it would be a subgenre of others). Just not my main goto genres =( no worries. I'm used to it...though I will say that I have found a surprising number of reverse harem fans here on this forum.
Thanks for sharing Beocat, Ive updated the poll to reflect your interests as well.

I really like that about mysteries too, like Monster
So cool, never got to finish it. #wrecked

I also find it hard to choose, as my interests vary greatly especially for a main Genre, however, I have found that as a whole over the years, my main favorites tend to stay the same. It's always a Shounen that's for certain, but the main Genre.... that tends to Be harder to choose. I could almost leave that out intirely to be honest.

Loved the unique gameplay actions required for this RPG. Wish they would remake it on a newer platform!
The story line was also good, back in the good ol days. If they ever remade this I would buy a new system.
Who remembers? The combination striking skill they added to do special moves was just another good interactive tool - I guess we have just moved far away from turn based games, but I find the more strategical aspect to be appealing rather than an OP weapon in modern gaming hitting the strike button repeatedly in a mindless manor
(Excuse me but I like to play barbarians).

Thats not a bad idea considering how many topics we seem to have about finding anime. We will do our best to review this.
Could I just create my own post on the subject and use my points to pin it myself?

Do you decide to consciously be an uplifting person to others? It's something I come by naturally for others, but find that I don't take the same care for myself without much needed reminding.
With that in view, what kinds of things do you normally do to take care of yourself, or uplift yourself everyday? Or today, if you've done so, good for you

Mine aren't even up there.... >_> Have I really become an anime fan with such obscure and rare preferences?
I'm sorry to not be all inclusive. There were so many sub genres I only put the most common ones.
What were we missing that you love so much?

There are so many anime genres, and sub genres, but I wanted to poll what our forum members watch mostly.
It will be interesting to see the fan base for certain genres here.

So to go along with the year old thread that I just necrod, what are some crazy attempts, or at least memorable, attempts that you made to recreate foods that you thought you saw in anime?
For example: I was always hungry after watching kids scarf down rice balls in anime, and as a kid myself, long before realizing I could google recipes to learn how to cook things, I just made my best guess

I cooked a pot of rice (not even the sticky kind) because we didn't have that, no... so I squeezed rice together into a cute little (tiny) but edible football shape
And smothered it with honey. Yum!!
But later on I realized that they use more umami flavors rather than sweet with rice balls
Oh well.
Anyone else do this?
