Let's keep this thread geared more to offering ideas for the forums benefit, silly aniki!

 

 

This is part of the reason behind this thread - I would like @Optic to see that there are many members who have been wanting to reach out with ideas as to how to better the forum for their benefits. This is not the first time I have heard other members ask about things like contests or roleplay. We aren't highly active currently, but there are a large handful of active members who are interested in these things and are willing to contribute- I also feel like if we get these types of things rolling, then more members who join may stay because they we have more fun things to offer to them. There are a variety of things people here are interested in, but that being so, there are also a handful of people who are introverted and wont necessarily speak out on their own. But hopefully we can make some positive changes soon to benefit those people!

for the award system, dont we already have badges? so should we work directly onto them, or make a new system entirely?

Alright, you've piqued my curiosity. Why so many nicknames?

Xyro = my main character name in my story. full name is Xyro Donatus (this is what most people call me, even my friends at college now )

peacock = i want to start roleplaying as peacock, but that ship got shot down fast

james = my real name, although i use xyro as my real name

Cinnamon roll = i used to be a pro player in a game and the community called me cinnamon roll because of how kind and "cute" i was. god damn i hated going to events

This is definitely a question to be answered by @Optic, as are all of the ideas and questions since I have to real bearing on direct changes. However, it's not a terrible idea. It would have to be something more for everyone than just you, though. To make a corner JUST for you to make tutorials and things of the like, I'm not so sure. However, if we can manage new corners of the forums such as writing contests, role play etc, then you can for sure probably create your own contests! I'd like to see you manage some contests and the like since you are a regular and spend a lot of time here anyway. It would be easy to trust you to manage things like this.

Interesting input. I think this may be happening already, though I am not sure. We are on google, which is exciting since we're one of the top results when searching for anime related forums! I'm not sure how to personally see to this because this is more @Optic 's department. But in order to have our link on external sites, it would require agreement from other sites owners. Hence why this is more Optics deal.

 

 

I actually really like the idea of a role play section! I enjoy writing and it sounds like a lot of fun! Would you personally be willing to help run contests related to role play? I am curious~

 

I heard that we use to have a section for this, but for some reason it didn't work out? Regardless, it's worth a shot if multiple members would be interested in the idea! We can possibly create a thread somewhere and ask who would all be interested in a change like this- If you know of any other members personally who would be interested, let Optic know!

It is something that we would have to get a little more members helping with and going in on, I feel like. But if you have any constructive ideas as of how to get things running or how to format this, you should shoot Optic a PM! I have been thinking about contests as well! I have personally considered doing some graphic contests for people who would be interesting in joining and working on techniques and things of that nature. Of course, rewards for winners and for contribution!

 

Would you personally be willing to work on those kinds of contests? Optic is going to need some help running the show with these types of things as he already has a lot on his plate. I am thinking of creating threads for specific contests and asking around on who would like to help contribute and run the show!

 

As far as your name change, bad otouto! You know Optic just said don't go crazy with the name changes.

1: any types of contests are amazing.

2: i will be more then happy to make everything as long as i have both somewhere to put them and im given the go sign. I would love to do allot of different contests!

I have never truly understood how claustrophobia worked as a phobia in the human brain. The idea that the brain begins to panik at the idea of being confined in a small space is natural, but being in a small room will make the person break down, hyperventelate, exedera.

Well, think of the world like this: your sarounded with oxygen every living moment of your life. Everywhere you move, everywhere you go, you are astounded by millions and millions of things that are smothering you 25/7

And yet because you can't see them you can't feel claustrophobic. Apply the same knowledge to a small box. Say you have been placed in a small box and accedently locked inside. Hyperventilating will kill you because of the lack of oxygen. Instead, close your eyes and imagine yourself in a large, open field. Both have the exact same amount of items, only your perspective is what makes it so scary.

And xyro has dificualty talking to people, so talking to himself is just a way to calm down and think.
