@RZ. Fish fingers and cucumber sounds like something I'd try and probably like.
Now I'm curious.
Fish finger, cucumber and lettuce sandwhiches are where it's at
And I don't know why I don't like them, they just freak me out.

Elfen Lied. Weirdly, I actually thought it was alright whilst I was watching it. It was in hindsight that I realized that it was as shallow as it was gory. Maybe the original material is a little better, I'm not sure.

A popular choice might be Code Geass or Evangelion as stated above.
Vandread is a little less known but a decent mech anime.

Shirou from Log Horizon seems to be pretty OP, especially at the start.

I'm on episode 5 of Arcane and god damn does this show just get better by the episode.

What is the most ridiculous nightmare you have ever had?
I had a dream that I was chased through sewers by the Nigerian mafia and then dived off a cliff and landed on a bunch of gigantic toilet rolls.
Tell us an embarrassing story.
There's probably too many to choose from. lol.
Explain an inside joke you have with a friend or family member.
Me and my best friend used to be friends with a kid in high school who liked to big himself up a lot. Was in constant competition with us over everything (especially football). Whenever we come across people who are similar we always just say his name to each other.
If your pet could talk, what do you think they might say about you?
Give food now
Tell me your life story in exactly one sentence.
Just sort of stumbling on by to be honest.
What is the strangest coincidence that ever happened to you?
A friend of mine was dating a boy from the other side of the country when I was in college. A few years later I started talking to a completely different girl from the same town as him. We stopped talking but about a year later she had a new boyfriend, which happened to be the guy my friend from college had been dating.
What is your favorite random fact? What is your useless talent?
Show me any flag from any country and I can tell you what it is.
What is the strangest food combination you enjoy?
Probably something not all that strange... like fish fingers and cucumber.
What would your drag queen name be?
Couldn't even begin to think lol
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation
What is your strangest irrational fear?
Bubbles. I hate bubbles.

Haibane Renmei is a good series, I've lost count of how many time I've watched it since the DVDs were released. But it still leaves me with unanswered questions though.
I think that you need to rotate the pictures before you upload them.
It's my plan to finish Texhnolyze and Haiibane Renmei + rewatch Lain by the summer. I've been procrastinating on them for too long.
I did rotate it beforehand but still uploaded in portrait for some reason

I don't know if anyone would care to follow. x3
But you can checkout my lists and drop me some recommendations. I'm always looking for new anime to add to the Plan to Watch list, so I never run out!
My profile is a little boring, I haven't updated it at all aside from the anime and manga lists. Might actually do that this Sunday when I have time! Let me know if it's okay to add you? ^^
I like the little cherry blossom tree gifs. Might get myself something like that for mine

That is all.

I work in retail so I usually only get half a weekend. If it's a Sunday I have off I'll probably just relax, watch anime, catch up on manga, game, write, whatever. If it's a Saturday I sometimes take my uncle to the football.
This Saturday I'll be playing my first game of Twlight Imperium IV (god, help me).

It’s so good! Well done! Minecraft is my childhood game and even thought I don’t really play it anymore it still has a big place in my heart.
Thank you! I've built huge pagoda/castles before too but I find I don't know what to do with all the space afterwards lol.
I started playing Minecraft way back when it was still in alpha when there was nothing but dirt and stone, no health/hunger bar, etc. My friend used to bring it on his USB drive and we'd play it in class in high school lol. Amazing how much the game has grown in the last decade.

Sesshomaru was really interesting to watch grow and change in Inuyasha, he ended up with a good heart in the end but still maintained a stoic exterior. A guy that almost always kept his cool but still acted on emotion at times, often in a manner that projects as confident and unbreakable even with his back against the wall.
He is still of good heart and is stoic in Yashahime, but his stoic-ness felt almost comically emphasized to the point he barely had any real interaction with anyone, even his daughters and child bride I MEAN wife.
I don't want to talk about
Sesshomaru x Rin.I'm pretending it doesn't exist,-

I made it to episode 15, and something did happen but the following episode it was back to more or less a slow paced episode and I was like I just don't care anymore. The music and the opening was good though.
Oh yeah, that episode confused the hell out of me at first. I thought when they got raided that they all got shot dead... then they were alive again next episode. Didn't realize they'd been using blanks/rubber bullets or whatever lol.

Me and my sisters have all watched "Inuyasha" in its entirety, grew up with the gang, love the world and love those guys...
and Moroha is literally the only thing about Yashahime that we all wholeheartedly liked.
Animation was visibly cheap and awkward, characters didnt act in a way that felt natural, showrunners kept throwing convoluted plot details at us to the point we stopped trying to figure out what was going on (like all of the sudden these things called "Kon" and "Haku" exist that were never mentioned before but are apparently vital to life and death?? And then there's everything with the dream butterfly and the sacred tree and threads of fate, which got really convoluted really fast), and the WHOLE show Towa is up on a pedestal as main character for seemingly no good reason, and everyone just kinda goes along with it while she gets bullshit powers left and right and never has to suffer any loss for more than 5 seconds.
Watched both seasons out of morbid curiosity... the Black Hiraikotsu was cool and Moroha is precious. Thats all lol
I can see where you're coming from with most of that. Considering Sesshomaru is my all time favorite character from anime (and Setsuna is the closest to him in terms of personality at the start) I probably have a more rose-tinted view of the show. Not that I thought it was particularly special. It doesn't come close to the original series or even the movies.
2 hours ago, Ohayotaku said:I only watched the first season, didn’t really have the same appeal of the original series for me. Granted, I’d only seen the first 54 eps of the original, since it’s hard to find past that on legal streaming sites (still enough to know who Rin & Sesshomaru are). Hulu has them & am planning to watch more of it. Might give Yashahime another chance afterwards, but not anytime soon.
Weirdly, I took a huge pause of about 6 months from the show around 50 episodes in too.

I just finished watching the second season the other day. What did you folks make of it? I was enjoying it for the most part. I am still not comfortable with the whole Sesshomaru and Rin thing, I also never really found myself invested in Towa, despite her being the main character. I was more invested in Setsuna, and later Moroha after they started to give her motivation to seek out her parents.
Admittedly, about 75% of my enjoyment may have come from getting to watch Sesshomaru kick ass again.

Yeah, I wish I hadn't bought Witch Hunter Robin... I mean considering it came out alongside some right classics I was sure it was going to be good. But I'm over half way and it still so boring. I honestly dropped it.
WHR is ok, but it's weird that there's basically no plot until episode 15. Cool music though.
