  1. OH MY GOODNESS. They're so flipping cute 0-0-

My sister wants chickens really badly XD I guess you can't have them in the city I live in, but can just outside of the city OR, you apply for a special license and can have only two or something within the city.

I hope things don't go south for you in regards to paying more fines.

Also damn, sick again!! Rest up ><

    Also, what is Cavetown ^^;

Are you familiar with Dragon Age? If so I would love to see your take on Merrill!

I am not! That being said, I do not mind researching :3

Thank you! You shall be my first spot :3

oh I thought you might have a university nearby you could just go to after writing an e-mail to the professors with the images. shipping and all that sounds like more of a hassle than I had thought.

Might be able to inquire without sending it in though if that land had previously been surveyed. I would email and inquire either way @cowboy

  4. Ahhh the geo nerd in me is internally screaming. THIS IS AWESOME. AND IT'S IN YOUR BACK YARD?

    Lucky!!

There is a city nearby that has a dinosaur museum with hiking trails around it (it's kind of a dangerous area as there are cougars, scorpions and snakes). I used to go there a lot with a few friends to hike. They have a lot of shells and plant imprints as well. My favorite oddly enough is when you find the imprints of things like water droplets or rippling from water. I haven't lucked out in seeing dino bones but they still have research there.

What an awesome find though. I agree with illusion, you could totally get that dated. Generally that cross section of land might already be dated.

  5. Wow, TBH I haven't read an account yet of someone who is actually ill and going through COVID (if that IS what you had - which I would agree with you, sounds like it). I'm glad you're recovering at least, and keeping busy in your own way.

BTW, species ALRE is this silly evolutionary game where you observe an environment of a specimen that will evolve naturally by survival of the fittest, the genetic mutations that benefit better in it's environment surviving over others that don't, and it ends up in some truly HORRIFIC abominations.

an absolutely cursed game, i love it.

This game sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing *_* I want to play

Its so good and realistic , i cant draw realistic things , i can only draw animation and anime :) thats why i wanna be an animator

Thanks! I've been drawing for a very very long time. It just takes practice and finding things you like to doodle. You improve the more you do :)

I'm sure you would be able to do realistic images eventually. I appreciate my ability to do realistic images because it allows me to know what things are suppose to be like, before I change it to become more animated.

Everyone has different styles though :)

  7. A lot of people are being laid off in Canada too, mostly in the provinces which have are in a state of emergency.

The government though is trying to assist people and student loan payments are on hold for 6 months.

Hopefully things get better. But, I feel they will get worse before things improve. Best people can do is help each other.

    Good luck with everything :(

  8. Yeah, I think its a good opportunity to enjoy going outside, walking, hiking, solo activities. Learn a new hobby.

Try not to let yourself get to down having to do less. It just forces you to look outside the box ;)

Reading comes with my career.  I have several bookshelves full right now - work has another three libraries for me to pull from.

I can imagine, historian with the military? That's awesome about the research material. I'm like Belle from beauty and the beast wandering into libraries hahahah awestruck *-*

That's to bad about the forced break :/ hopefully it will end positively and you'll be able to spend more time on personal affairs vs work.

Do you like to read anything not pertaining to work? Or are they all similar in style to what you read on the job?

  10. I took a speech class in university mainly because I too HATE public speaking. Make sure to practice your speech, it will make you more comfortable. Before you do your speech, take a moment to help get rid of tension in your body (such as squeezing your hands into tight fist and releasing them). Try not to fidget or cross your arms during your speech too :D its hard to do, but that's what practice is for.

When you write your speech try to make sure you bring up points at least three times to hear your speech's goal. A well written speech is memorable.

Social media influences people globally, there are a lot of pros and cons to it. How long does your speech have to be? Because you might need to pick a more simple statement to discuss that narrows down your topic. (Be more specific about what you want to discuss - then bring up 3 points almost are arguments or information, then conclude by re-stating those points briefly)

  11. I liked the OVA and completely envied Yomiko's room full of books haha.

I had watched only a bit of the series but remember not being able to get into it, this was back in like 2007(?) though so I'll have to give it another go.

Ascendance of a Bookworm looks like something I would really enjoy. And I'm glad the new season is set. Its annoying when they take forever or just up and quit. I like how it has some historical value thrown in. I'll definitely add it to my list :D

  12. @Ohiotaku ohhhh Agent Paper. Nostalgia moment. I watched the OVA first of R.O.D. thanks for the recommendations though, I haven't seen the other one you posted. :D

Fantasy and SciFi are two of my favorite genre ^^ I'll usually gravitate to for decent escapism :)

I don't think I would ever give up reading even if I was busy :/ I wouldn't feel like me anymore.

  13. I was reading a book called Lost Connections by Johann Hari (Highly recommend for people who are dealing with depression and want another insight on how to cope beyond drugs...or I suppose understand more of the environmental causes of depression), and one chapter actually discusses peoples fears of doing what they dream of doing. (His example was a man who wanted to open a fishing business or something along those lines) 😛 WRITE THAT GOAL DAMNIT haha @The History Kid

Have you been before at least?

I was a sad kid too =-= I think my journal would be quite depressing to read hahah

Although, I agree with you, it would be neat to write another self reflection. I have no clue what I would write....midlife crisis bwahah I don't know what my new goals are.

ALSO - sorry, speaking of past writings, you guys should check out https://open.spotify.com/show/4ujhMZWw65aklkutNnwmJN its a podcast series called The Mortified and its basically people reading past entries to journals, assignments....they're cringe moments and its more comedy. If you're feeling nostalgic haha.

(NOT SAYING @Anime loveer 's post was cringe. I'm saying mine would be so no offense to be made.

  14.  Awe, I miss HS bwahah, so much freedom and excitement to really define yourself. Although, I also know so many people who didn't like HS, just viewed it as another step to get out into the "real" world.

I think is awesome to stop and self reflect. I hope you realize your goal of being happy :] but, don't get to caught up on the small stuff - work on things that make you happy. Explore the things you're curious about. Not sure what you want to do in the future for education, job shadow, talk to people, find mentors.

I like how you wrote "don't compare yourself to others". I think that is really important to realize. :)

  15. Awe, I like this inspiring message to yourself. Do you feel like you've stayed true to yourself and your younger self's goals?

Are you in HS or College? I have these messages to myself - however they are definitely not as thorough as yours :)

  16. @Ohiotaku Its just a sinus infection lol, I was annoyed though because I have been using toilet paper to blow my nose, ended up going to the store to get more, couldn't because they had none... Ended up getting kleenex though :D

You'd think we were having a stomach flu epidemic.

I agree with you, after the first season I was feeling annoyed by the series but I have a tendency to finish things (if I'm not that interested in it though I will watch well doing other things like chores)

TBH, it kind of reminds me of the Witcher series in the sense of how its trying really hard to be adult rated but is too...over done? Corny? I don't know how to explain...mashed story together that doesn't have any body to it and feels like a lot of filler? But you kind of nailed it on the head.

  17. Its a fair point - acknowledge and appreciate the people who are around you. However, also recognize if something goes wrong, to still cherish the good memories and not let them eat away at you and prevent you from building new relationships.

A lot can happen with friends, gain as much as you can and build yourself in the process.

<3 this is a happy post though, I'm happy for you to have such awesome people in your life.

  18. These all look amazing. PLEASE PLEASE keep working at it. Everyone starts somewhere and has the ability to improve our find their own style.

I can tell you've been putting a lot of focus on understanding dimensions in face proportions, hair and are working at finding your style when drawing eyes.

Keep at it and you'll find it will pay off in the long run ^^
