  1. That is dope af. love the case. i just love the minimal design hands down. same with mine as well. just a black box and only has imporant things where it counts lol and looking at your case i noticed the corsair logo. i love their products. wish my case was as fancy branded as yours ;-; lol
  2. @EnviousEnvy Oh damn. I couldn't get on that night so I really don't know. Coming from friends, It did appear to happen. Did I miss out much? lol I honestly haven't been up keeping my island recently ;-;
  3. That absolutely blows my mind. I have no experience in coding nor programming but using operating system like those to get an advantage in that sense fascinates me. I mean I have no idea what the benefits are, and I guess I wouldn't see a benefit using other operating systems besides windows for everyday use. Really wish I could start learning those types of skills ;-; As for your build, that sounds pretty solid. Wish I knew how'd it look. No RGB or anything? I personally don't like RGB but I understand the appeal. From what I know the RX480 is not quite a new card, but gets basic games today well over 60fps on 1080p if configured correctly. I honestly agree with holding back UPGRADING graphics cards though. Especially if one has a relatively serviceable one. they are pretty pricey with not so impressive performance changes since the last generation(well from NVIDIA anyways). But hey, for some people if you got money to spend, Id do whatever yea want. I think i failed to mention my system. not sure if it matters or if anyone cares but ill post it anyways I got an Intel based system which i noticed none of you guys have. Well tbh, since ryzen came out i wouldnt argue it being a better option. mainly for video editing, streaming, and video games CPU- Intel i7 8700k Cooler- a 240mm liquid cooling. i think it was an nzxt one. not to sure. cant check since my pc is a solid black midtower case with no glass panels or anything Graphics- RTX 2080 Super Memory- 16GB(2x8GB) DDR4 2666mhz Storage- totally forgot. but im pretty sure I have 1 1tb SSD for my bootdrive and software, another 1tb SSD for games and general media, and 1 5tb HDD for all purpose media like pictures and movies I've watched. heres a quick pic from the front. really need to fix those cables running from the back though. @Mikeyboy636 Love the specs. what were your builds before? @ArchieKun WOULD LOVE TO HEAR/SEE THOSE DETAILS FAM
  4. That's pretty epic. I'm currently using a 8700k, but would definitely use an AMD based PC for my secondary rig. not sure if youre familiar with the bulldozer architecture CPUs from amd but that was the first and last time i used amd products. i think it was a fx 4100. i mean they were really really good for budget builds back then, espeically if you got them on discounts(which were really really common). ive always wanted to build a second rig for a long time for my living room. and since the zen based rzyen cpus came out in 2017 its just giving me more reason too. ive only heard really good things about it.
  5. made curry with potatos and porkbutt that was borderline going bad. then made a simple pork cutlet from porkchops to make katsu curry. kimchi on the side. tatos - 20 cents a tato. 2 weeks old japanese curry base - 4 dollars for a 6 servings(i think) remembered using 2.5 servings for extra consistency flour - pretty sure everyone has flour panko/bread crumbs - some of yall might have in your pantry. if not their like 2 dollars a box. keep in your pantry well sealed. boom will last you a forever egg - probably the hardest to get. but im pretty sure youll find some pork chops - bruh like 4 dollar per pound. i literally used less than quarter than that. total - cheap asf. really though, if i had to guess; i spent less than 2 dollars minusing the things i had in my pantry and fridge. sorry, actually looks like diarrhea lool(ignore the razer. idl why that was there) if you plan on buying everything, would roughly cost you 30 dollars. would be for 6 servings though
  6. DUDE THAT'S LIT. So those are the new parts you're getting? and just a small question Why are you pairing a 500 dollar CPU with a 1060? Plan on upgrading in the future for long jeverdy? or is it a work bench?
  7. rofl that sounds funny. im pretty sure no one can be as ugly as me. so im not too worried. but in the case of if i do die, ill say its more of a blessing. AMEN
  8. Couldn't find any threads really dedicated to computers. Not sure if it's okay, but Ill give it a shot. Just wanted to see if anybody here are familiar with PCs. I'm still learning, and honestly don't know much yet(but I'd say I know a little more than the average joe). Would love to learn a thing or two. Same goes for you too maybe? looking to get into general PC use to PC gaming? I think this thread would be perfect, no? Custom water cooling is something I also want to get heavily invested in. But I always felt so discouraged. So maybe to start off the thread, let me ask what kind of computer you're using. pre-built? custom? laptop? Tell me. Show me. Specifications would be awesome too.
  9. I mean if money is a factor in your decision, I wouldn't argue to why you won't buy one. I honestly too, felt the same about games regarding the Switch. I was rarely introduced to Nintendo games when I was younger- more of a Playstation kid growing up. So I never found interest in their products. Games, consoles, or merchandises. Except for 2 games: Animal Crossing and Pokemon. When I was a kid I had a bunch of 10 to 11 year old friends sharing me their DSs and shit. Anyways... I would sorta agree that all Animal Crossing games are generally the same with minor tweaks and stuff. But wouldn't you think Pokemon is too? Please don't get me wrong. I love Pokemon. Even though I only started getting invested into Pokemon during high school with emulators and stuff, I played all the main line titles from Gold to Black on just PC emulators(might be cheating BUT IM STILL A FAN). Might be just be since I sorta played the game wrong by not transferring Pokemon between Generations, but I had a blast. However, I still think they're pretty repetitive. Just different Pokemon in every entry with generally the same mechanics. I'd also agree Sword and Shield is "non traditional" to past titles: Gyms replaced in kind of a "sport", different methods into finding and capturing Pokemon, smaller cuts in to map direction etc. But we gotta consider this is an actual mainline Pokemon game on a console. Unlike most fans think, I believe this game too will be cared with the "3 year" treatment Nintendo gives their first party exclusive. Is it a cash grab? hard to argue that tbh lol. I have no doubt, in the end, this will be the biggest Pokemon game; However, it will come with a pretty hefty cost if you're along the ride with it. I talk to much. i swear im not a fan boy. i can careless about nintendo ;-;... since you love pokemon just wanted to give you my two cents. sorry this kind of triggered me lool. dude it's like hella cheap compared to the xbox and ps4. its like 20 bucks a year(even cheaper if you get 2 to 8 friends and divide that by 35 bucks with the family pack). I'm just surprised they made it that small considering this day and age
  10. Aw that's awesome man. So are you receiving the surgery or doing it? If you're receiving it, hope it turns out well man. You got this bud. Not sure if that means anything coming from me. Catch up on stuff you probably missed or never did when you were too busy. Also hope to see the pandemic die down in the winter so you can enjoy or worry a little less after that surgery. Glad to hear you're also a hard worker. I mean I can't per-say I relate to you but right out of high school I started working due to living alone and shit. Never took vacations for years til i got my big break. Hope you rest up after that major surgery. lol and dont RETIRE EARLY MAN. Not sure how old you are but i'd imagine myself going crazy. Going through a midlife crises in my mid 20s doesnt sound like a good plan rofl. I mean I would probably wouldn't say the same if i were to have kids and a wife maybe. ummmm as for video games and anime... I've been honestly loosing touch with them as time goes on. but i'm alittle above the casual demographic. I'm slowly starting to get back in to MMORPGs. Recently got black desert online, and im currently playing it with a bunch of friends. I'm really excited for 2 new games that are coming out: genshin impact(more of a coop base game but still interested) and blue protocol. been playing overwatch since it came out. borderline diamond. but to be fair, i literally transitioned to every platform, except on the switch, and only started playing on PC less than 2 years ago. 80 percent of the games i play are fps games . as for anime, i tend to stir away from shounen or any kind of action type anime unless they're in the seinen genre(im still picky when it comes to it though). never was really the type to keep track of the anime i've watched in a list, but if i were to guess 90 percent of the anime i've watched so far are all in the realms of drama, romance, shoujo, slice of life, and romcoms. pretty feminine i know
  11. Exactly. Glad someone feels the same way. Discord is really cool and all, but its just a glorified whatsapp. lol i never really got the chance to use reddit. But I really never had an issue with it in smaller subreddits. but i see what you mean by the karma system. Kind of unfortunate it puts popular opinions on a pedestal creating bias in some cases. Thanks for the warm welcome. plus i taste like popo so i doubt anyone will dare to bite me
  12. I live in a tropical region so I never get my coffee hot except for really early mornings I suppose. But before the quarantine I'd always, ALWAYS, get 16oz iced americano less ice, more water with an extra shot. Iluvit black. reel black
  13. It's a hard game to explain. I wouldn't necessary call it a game where it "numbs your mind". The game is generally stressful especially if you're impatient. It's tedious with extra steps. However that's the addicting nature of Animal Crossing. You see your world slowly change overtime as you continue to come back everyday to make it better. Since you can't necessary do somethings the same day without "time traveling"(another form of cheating in which you change the in-game clock to skip to the next day without waiting in real time.) it makes people, like myself, come back the next day to continue where they left off, I guess. The best example I can personally give is comparing it with games like Farmville, Clash of Clans, etc. Just replacing time travel with fucking microtransactions rofl I mean I loved harvest moon: back to nature on the PS1. and jesus was that a good game. if you played the game, its kind of the same concept but you get to pick and marry one of your villagers ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but of course it comes with tedious grinding of selling things in your farm yada yada manually pick them up from your barn or crop field. I got the game. I'm still kind of far away from getting K.K. to visit the ye olde island, but it's looking promising. My island is on the southern hemisphere if you need anything I'm glad to help. I'm kind of greedy with my money so I'm literally saving up every bit I have.
  14. 10/10 clickbait To be completely honest, I've been stuck at home for over a month. This quarantine is really pushing my patience. I would have never thought I'd miss going to work this bad. I'm pretty sure all of us has taken 2 to 3 weeks of vacation at one point, but this isn't it chef. Unable to go anywhere adding more unwanted mass to my already unattractive body is horrible. Come to think of it, the last time I ever felt like this was when I was back in high school. I'm not sure if it's common in other public school systems, but the duration for my summer vacations were about 2 months. I'd normally spend the first month of my glamorous high school summer vacations with my family; then followed by my parents dropping me back home while they do their own shit. Leaving me home alone. Normally in situations like these you'd imagine I'd have epic house parties like the ones you see on white-washed Hollywood teen movies. Sorry to disappoint you. But being an adolescent with borderline no friends and only carrying half the recommended chromosomes, I didn't do that. Instead, I stayed home watched anime and played video games with my janked PC setup that ran all my games on the minimum spec requirements. Very early on in my high school life(maybe the first few months of my freshmen year), I discovered websites called forums where I can engage with people whom shared similar interests of anime and video games like I did. This whole concept was foreign to me but so fascinating. You were essentially telling a prepubescent boy(who had anime pictures as his Facebook and MySpace profile pictures with no friends to talk about Japanese cartoons) that there's a whole world out there. Dedicated to talk about THAT kind of shit 24/7. So naturally I signed up on my first anime forum community. I've visited, and joined countless communities that I'd never forget during those times in high school. I learned so much things I never thought I could have learned back then. Anyways, long story short I want to join another forum based community. It's been over 4 years since I last visited one of the forums I use to frequently used. Unfortunately they shut down(many others too. some being totally inactive). I Hope ya'll don't mind. Pretty sure no one will ask, but Reddit, and MAL, were, and still is, shit. No disrespect but, I got banned on reddit, and i think someone bullied me on MAL which discouraged me to go back. Discord is good and all, but discord doesn't have the same feeling as a forum does. I don't know. Sorry4longpost if you red u hav big pp
