Nowadays I use colored pens since it really makes things stand out. I don't recomment anyone to use them since ink is unforgiving when it comes to drawing. One day after my dad hit me with the TV's cord and made me bleed real bad, I tried to find something to clean myself up with and found a napkin. (I was 9 at the time and my first hand experience at getting creative then) I dipped my fingers on the bleeding injuries to draw smiley faces on it at first (dad refused to let me use my pencils to draw saying that nothing good/profitable could come from it) and from then on got inspiration to paint on common canvases. I rarely do digital fanart since it's too forgiving and I love a good challenge. I was just about to post a new thread with one of my digital ones over at the A-F Art Exhibit section right now. WHO agrees? Finding signatures you like at that size is hard and editing them can either be  a pain or ruin them!!!

It could work since the site's activity is so low at the moment even with the whole pandemic thing going on. If the activity rate goes up higher to the point it begins to make the site lag, then they should lower the dimensions back down. Doubt the site would lag with the still low forum activity, plus most users give 0 fucks to have a gif sig anyhow. Hope your prayers are heard some day. I for 1 agree.

My uncle was a manga artist. I asked him why he didn't just publish all his manga with color? He replied with the following: It´s too expensive in the long run. Only do it if you are 120% sure that the story and art is appealing enough for the reader such as showing beautiful scenaries and what not. He really looked at the profitable side of things.
