  1. 2020 for anime. Sheesh, where to begin...
So, I'll start with some of the good stuff.

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Season 3 began this year, and has finally concluded the anime.
I'm sad it ended still, obviously, but after so long, it's good to see its end. I haven't seen it yet (.-.) but I'm planning to.
It actually concluded a while back, but whatever.

The second(?) season of The Irregular at Magic High School is currently airing.
TIAMHS - Visitor's Arc has been airing for some time, but it still is, so I'm happy.

And finally, Kyuukyoku Shinka Shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu Yori mo Kusoge Dattara has gotten an anime adaption.
I have never heard of this, but it seems interesting.

Now, here is... the big bad.

Fisherman Sanpei author Takao Yaguichi has passed away on November 20th of this year...

Despite this happening last year, the Kyoto Studio fires...

Bad news in the anime industry happens all the time. We have to look out for everyone. Along with that, we have to appreciate what we have. Not just the anime and manga, but the industries and the authors that write them for us.
Thank you to all of you.

(Who thought this would actually work... help)

Thats epic, also Kaguya is pretty fu (I don't remeber if you can swear or not) (oh god I just got another comment from you) (I have to improve my typing speed seriously) anyways, you like Love is war? wow thats great so do I (basically what I'm trying to say is that I want to be friends).

Well for a starters: What is your favourite anime and why?

Mine is Koe no Katachi, (Bc it changed my life basically)

Only read the first manga so far, but yes, I do love Kaguya-sama. (The manga [she's your waifu too you know] hush)

So, my favourite anime is either Bloom Into You, a yuri manga that has made me seen the other side of love... in terms of people that just can't feel love...

Or My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, because of it's... well, everything. From characters, to plot, to being relatable, it's just so damn good.

  3. I am a boy.
A boy that likes to play.
A boy that like to sing and dance,
A boy that has some grand old days.

    A different boy.
A boy that likes to write,
A boy that watches from afar,
A quiet boy that loves his life.

I like to think I'm normal.
A boy that can eat and drink,
A boy that likes sharp things,
A boy that sort of thinks.

    But I know I'm not.
A boy that toys with strings,
A boy that can control things,
A boy that loves to sing.

    But what's wrong with me?
    A boy that cannot feel,
A boy that cannot "do no harm"...
    A boy that cannot feel.

    I can't feel anything.
    Am I okay?
    Am I alright?
    Am I normal?

    I'm normal.
    I'm normal...
    I am... normal.

  4. I suppose I will introduce myself again - After all, I haven't been active for quite some time now.

Greetings to everyone on the Anime Forums. I...

...Am "L". In a sense, I "aspire" to be like L. If you think that's an obsession, a fantasy, or something unrealistic, that's fine - Honestly, I sort of believe that myself.

I enjoy spending my time watching YouTube or talking to people - Mainly people I don't know, so I can become friends with new people.

I can draw and I create music - I sometimes recreate popular music as well in Garageband. Such songs are, uh, Stan and Pumped Up Kicks.

I'm an aspiring manga artist or anime animator. I also aspire to be a manga/cafe store owner... I don't really know why.

Any questions you have, please, tell me. I would love to answer you.

  5. Usually, we'd go out and travel, see family and stuff. But, you know, we can't exactly do that.

So this year, we just made some food and watched the parade. That apparently still happened.

And I'd just like to say, @Geano, you're probably right, sadly...

  6. SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRETY OF MADOKA MAGICA.

I don't have too many thoughts on Death Note, other than it's [bad wurd alurd] awesome, but I've got some stuff to say about Madoka Magica. Most of it deals with the psychological element of it. Let me elaborate.

Madoka Magica's plot is this, sourced from Wikipedia on its page here. If you just want to read the plot, here it is. This is not my own work. This is copied from the Wikipedia page that is linked here.

In the fictional city of Mitakihara, Japan, a middle school student named Madoka Kaname and her friend Sayaka Miki encounter a small, cat-like creature named Kyubey. It offers a contract in which a girl may have any wish granted in exchange for obtaining magical powers and being tasked with fighting witches. Meanwhile, a transfer student and magical girl named Homura Akemi tries to stop Madoka from making the contract with Kyubey. Madoka and Sayaka then meet Mami Tomoe, an upperclassman at the same school who is also a magical girl. Noticing their indecisiveness on whether to become a magical girl, Mami offers to take Madoka and Sayaka along on her witch hunts so they may learn of the responsibilities that come with being a magical girl.[4]

However, after witnessing Mami's death at the hands of a witch, Madoka realizes the life of a magical girl is filled with danger, anguish, and suffering.[5] This is further enforced by the appearance of Kyoko Sakura, a veteran magical girl whose wish indirectly caused the death of her family. Madoka also discovers magical girls give up their souls to form their Soul Gems, the source of their magic, and that when Soul Gems become too tainted with despair, magical girls change into witches.

Sayaka decides to become a magical girl after learning that doing so would allow her to heal a young musician who she admires. However, her classmate Hitomi Shizuki confesses to him first, causing Sayaka to become disillusioned and fall into an inescapable despair that turns her into a witch.[6] Kyubey reveals to Madoka that he is of an alien race that has been harvesting the emotions of magical girls for centuries to use as energy to counteract the spread of entropy, and thus stave off the heat death of the universe. Madoka also learns that Homura is a magical girl from a different timeline who has repeated the same month countless times to try to save Madoka from a grisly fate.

Madoka and Kyoko attempt to reverse Sayaka's transformation, but the plan fails and Kyoko is forced to sacrifice herself to allow Madoka to escape, leaving Homura as the only remaining magical girl. Following this, an extremely powerful witch known as Walpurgisnacht approaches the city. Homura attempts to stop it, but is defeated. She prepares to rewind time to repeat the month again, but Madoka stops her. With the past month's events in mind, Madoka decides to become a magical girl and makes a wish to stop the creation of all witches in the past, present, and future. The scope of this wish rewrites history and the laws of the universe, and her existence as a human is erased from time. She transcends into a cosmic phenomenon called "The Law of Cycles", which appears to all magical girls at the moment before they become witches and rescues them by taking them to a heavenly paradise. A new reality, in which Homura is the only one who remembers Madoka, is formed.[7] Homura vows to continue fighting in honor of Madoka.

It seems like a cute anime at first, right? A young girl wants to fight witches with another girl to... save the world? Something like that. So where's the psychological elemet?

Well, let's quote something here. Again, this is from the Wikipedia article.'

"Madoka realises the life of a magical girl is filled with danger, anguish, and suffering". Now, I haven't watched this in a while, but I can tell you that throughout Madoka's journey... it is. Witches are relentless and whatnot. But along with that, there's Homura. The secondary protagonist.

Until near the end of the anime, we don't really know too much about Homura. Though, as Madoka Magica slowly began to end, we saw more of Homura.

We kept seeing... visions or alternate dimensions, I believe, of Homura constantly seeing Madoka, spoilers, dying.

Well, that's all I've got since I don't know too much about it since I haven't watched this in a while.

AGAIN, THE PLOT IS COPIED FROM THE WIKIPEDIA PAGE. IT IS NOT MINE.

Anyways, what are your thoughts on your favourite anime?

  7. Biased opinion... But it's the greatest anime of all time, in my opinion.

Maybe not that much, but it's one of the greatest, that's for sure. The psychological element just works so well, the clash between L and Light...

It kind of drops off when Near takes over, though...
