I am feeling tired. Time for a nap?

To be honest I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the last one. I had some stuff going on. But I plan on being more active in this one.

Okay, so I finally watched this last night. Before watching: I had ridiculously high expectations. I try not to do this when opting to watch a film or series because then I always find that at some point, it does not meet up. However, I heard so many people compare this to Kimi no Na wa, saying that it was actually a better film overall by comparison. I loved Kimi no Na wa. So. Since so many people said it was better, of course I was itching to watch it. I also found that the plot/concept was really sweet. I figured it would be one of those bittersweet films I love, much like 5 cm per second, which is on my top favorites as far as animated films. After watching: I found that I did like this film a lot, HOWEVER, I would not go as far as to say that I liked to more than Kimi no Na wa. I find that film to be far superior to this one. I felt like this film left out quite a bit in regards to story development. I have read that the people who read the manga first, also found slight disappointment for similar reasons. Granted, this often times happens when animated adaptations of manga becase you can't necessarily fit every single thing into a film. But I felt like there were some parts that skipped around a bit. And this was a bit disappointing to me. Still, I found the film to have a very deep and beautiful meaning. It was also very relateable to me personally, and there were a few moments where I actually cried a bit. I absolutely love Shoya's character as I found him the most relateable to me. I think his development would have been better emphasized on in the film. The animation was beautiful. I liked the soundtrack. Overall, I'd give it a solid 7.5/10.

I want to like nightcore. But I really have a hard time liking it. I know a few people who listen to some nightcore stuff, which is why I tried to give it a try. But it's just one of those few things I never got into. But, I so rather think out of the ones you posted, the Poppy Seeds one isn't so bad~

The AF Discord was mainly created by me and @Cirkadian. When we originally started it, as some other members mentioned, it was suppose to be a way for a large group of us to voice chat and coordinate events and things of that nature. I use to use it daily and I would VC with a small group of people from here almost every single night. It also helped us coordinate group watchalongs. This was end of last year/beginning of this year. Since then, the main people who were getting on here to VC and use it for events, stopped using it. Here are my thoughts on it. The cons of the server are that, for a brief period of time, users were more drawn to getting on discord than they were actually using the forum. I noticed this change pretty quickly. It actually became difficult for me to get members to post here. They would just want to chat over discord. Another con is that it can be used for negative reflection of the forum, as anyone can really post there, and there's now, little regulation of the server. We use to have several members with permissions who logged on to keep things pretty steady and regulated. The pros are that, I do think its an interesting dimension or extension of the forum if we could get it used like we use to. Group VC's, music rooms, etc. Discord is also pretty much used by everyone. It's fairly easy to use and is preferred over the chat module by a vast majority of members.

This hurts my soul. Mecha is what interests me most. Now, if only they could make more with good plots + plenty of mecha-y action. It is more than likely because it tends to draw away from the actual story or plot. Or it lacks good character development. It is one of the things that I wish they could just get right. ---- I love most genres. I'm not the biggest fan of Slice of Life. But I'll watch just about anything, however, I prefer things with action and that are more shounen based.

I feel like I have said this in 400 other threads, but the ending of Wolf's Rain wrecked my world.

Why have I not posted here sooner? I feel ashamed. Please, pause while I go whip myself. Edward. Because, who doesn't love Edward? I'm not sure if it was her personality or her skills. But I just remember enjoying her comedic relief most of all.

I'm literal fangirl trash. No, but seriously. It takes me 0.0001 seconds to point out a character I'm going to be obsessed with. I'll immediately point and go "husbando" or "waifu"! I tend to be more or less the person that in silence, hides in their room at night and reads smutty fanfiction while I dream/fantasize about being with said character. Is that weird? I DON'T CARE. I very rarely will vocally obsess. I'll just keep it in the dark corners of my mind.
