Eerrrrk. I can relate with the rent bit... the first place that Cy~ and I had together tried to raise our rent by about $600 at the end of our first year. We nope'd straight out of the city. ^^;;;;

Around here, finding just a bedroom for rent is like from 600 and up. Just the bedroom! I'll be doing some digging though to try and get a bachelor suite. It'll cost me a pretty penny and I'll have like absolutely no extra cash, but it'd be way better than having to share a kitchen and bathroom with strangers. And I'd actually be able to have company every now and again

That is... exactly like Seattle. @_@ We lived there one year, before fleeing to less expensive pastures. We moved thirty miles South, at our new place $600 (looking at Craigslist) seems to be the high end, rather than the absolute low end. With that said, I sincerely wish you the best of luck in finding something. Having to share those with people you don't even know would make me downright miserable. :/
