    Pistanthrophobia.

The fear of trusting others. I've always had trust issues since I was young. Trust is earned, it's not something given on a golden platter.

That's a good one and it's close to what I fear the most. I have a habit of being a doormat and way too kind and leads to being taken advantage of. Of course, I'm also the type of person to bump into a piece of furniture and apologize to it.

  2. Thank you for the welcoming! Yes, I'm eager to explore around some more and make new friends.

Despite using Crunchyroll (VRV actually) to stream a lot of anime, I don’t post on their forums very often since they can be toxic at times. I’ve been hanging around here for nearly 2 years and members are nice.

That's an understatement, there were a few trolls I had to deal with and not much was done about them. Oof, I try not to think about them. It's more than good to know that members are nice on here. I'm excited to be here and use forums again. My longest was on Experience Project but they closed down a few years ago and made a new forum. It wasn't the same anymore. There wasn't anymore organization on what kind of forum they were shooting for. Next thing I knew it was a free for all! We started getting freaky people that opened up very inappropriate topics. That wasn't my thing rol.

That's wonderful that anime still gives you nostalgia. I've known people that came from classic anime and find that it's a totally different era and "not the same anymore" as they put it. Star Blazers is one of the hundreds of anime I need to watch! I found out about it while looking at Robotech and Aura Battler Dunbine. I'm in love with classic science fiction space stuff, Star Blazers looks fun.

My brother saw My Roommate Is a Cat a few days ago and said it was good. I'll be watching it very soon. Interesting that you had a connection to it but I'm glad that you did. The power of anime, am I right? It's nice that it can make you think about your life in different ways like that.

I do need to see Vinland Saga and it's not surprising that you like Cowboy Bebop, I haven't met an anime loving soul that doesn't! I don't blame anyone, it's fantastic, it has everything. Lots to love there.

Thank you again for stopping by and giving me the time. Oh, I love to meet new people and hope to make some friends. My forum socializing is a bit rusty and I get nervous at new places but I hope to get to know everyone.

  3. Hello, excuse my nervousness. Former Crunchyroll residence but I felt it was time for a change in location. The truth is, I haven't been to Crunchy in a few years due to personal trauma and I'm trying to reach out and find my tribe again.

A little about me? I'm trying to find my sexuality and identity in a very prejudice part of the world. I love anime because it's part of an accepting and open minded culture that entertains and expresses diversity. Above all, it's damn good to watch and get lost in.

I have had some things happen to me in life but anime and the people that gravitate to it, have been nothing but reliable and lend much needed comfort. Joining this forum is part of my social recovery but having looked through it, I know I'll have fun here.

I'm out of work right now due to Covid-19 and I'm sweating, sis. I did makeup and dropped out of fashion school to deal with anxiety and clinical depression. The pressure has been on. My parents might find me on their door steps soon. It's a scary thought. Anyone else struggling because of this?

So, hey-hey new buddies. What's your favorite anime? How are you doing?
