  1. I agree, but I also relate to @Decisions in the sense that I have learnt a lot by connecting to good characters. A prime example of this for me is Spike, you know when I was younger I was very much like Spike throughout the whole series. I never stepped out and faced my past, I was always afraid that my past would catch up to me, I kind of ran, eventually I came to a point in my life where I had to face my past and it meant dying to who I was and starting a new. I really related to Spike on deep levels because it also involved someone like Julia, it was so impactful of an experience that it helped me understand that I had to go through that to truly know whether or not I was truly alive. Pain and suffering is so important, it teaches us what it means to love, to have something that has meaning. I absolutely agree I do not like this plastic doll character thing that's going on these days but it doesn't mean that impact can't be had from good characters in the same way :).
  2. I have only one and always had only one. The one and only Aiwa Fuka (Blast of the Tempest).
  3. This was automatically what I thought about. I think it may be this one.
  4. This is an extremely good show, I am impressed that something like this was made. I am 3 episodes in and I am loving every second of it, thank you for the recommendation. If you think of anything else let me know. I was planning to just check it out haha, but it hooked me because of its boldness.
  5. Hello everyone, I have been away for quite a while once again due to studies. In a few weeks I will be free once again and on holiday and I wanted to refresh my anime list a little. I haven't watched anything since July 2017 please if you could list me some good shows since. Genre I generally prefer to watch I will mention down below, but please keep in mind that if anything is very unique and out of the ordinary I want to hear about it regardless if its within this genre list :) I don't like generic shows. Favourite Genres: Action, Thriller, Psychological, Romance, Puzzle, Crime. Here is my anime list https://kitsu.io/users/Etyo/library
  6. To be honest, I don't know yet I am looking forward to getting to know all of them and then decide, I really like the guy who hit the home run I forget his name. I find his character interesting, and I am curious to know his back story.
  7. I think on the contrary I think that it just requires more focus from the audience, and I hate when someone guides me to understand a story. I want to think, I want to be intrigued and enlightened. I see your point in regards to their age not seeming much different, but unfortunately this can only be helped with better cuts and colour disparity and we don't want to see that cliche all over again. Give us stuff like "Rashomon" Akira Kurosawa.
  8. Can we please discuss the excellence of this first episode. In terms of directing fueling the character development, it's fantastic. Did you notice how it used character placements to form introductions? What do you all think of this show, let's discuss it, just because ?
  9. Well this is not only the first three it's all Pokemon I just like bulbasaur k .
  10. @kittypastel Welcome! I am 26 and I am a male, I am happy to meet your acquaintance. However, I don't think people can be friends without knowing what your favorite Pokemon is? Mine is Bulbasaur . Squirtle used to be my favorite for a long time cause I love tortoises, but Bulbasaur is cooler in the end.
  11. 6.5/10 - Way better than the first, mainly because Erin got less dialog. Sad that Levi wasn't around as much. Haikyuu!! - everyone's favorite sports Anime.
  12. I have not seen this Anime, I have heard enough of it to avoid it. Sorry, I don't have much else to say about it. But what I will say is this, the story progression, is it forced with unreasonable character changes or are they naturally progressed? This normally gives us a hint as to whether or not a story is good or not. Normally in Anime or any medium for that matter, the issue always comes down to this. Random plot twists are never good, well thought out plot twists are what you want. The way you achieve that is to create good characters, and then show us a problem that is reasonable within the world they live. If it's unreasonable then it is already a warning sign of terrible writing. So to answer your question I would need you to answer to these understandings.
  13. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni of this I am not convinced lol. This show is definitely just gore galore. It's an overstatement to say that this is a horror or even close to a thriller, this show was just plainly ridiculous. I don't know about this one.
  14. It has to be Hinata from Haikyu! for his absolute dedication and optimism.
  15. So from my experience watching Anime for just over 10 years, I have never come across an Anime that has actual horror. I have seen many gore Anime, but from experiencing horror in Hollywood films and many Asain films I am yet to come across an Anime that is truly horrifying. If we look at the definition of Horror Google defines it as "an intense feeling of fear, shock, or disgust." but the old definition of it includes the word "hatred". So my question to you is: is there any Anime that has all of these, which left you truly frightened? Yes, there are many with the shock and disgust feeling. Bring me something with them all, I am yet to be convinced that they even exist.
