  1. I... I would actually eat that. I mean, I've actually had tripas tacos (cow intestine) and I've eaten frog legs, peahen, rocky mountain oysters, and even roasted grasshoppers. I'm either really brave or really not picky. You didn't include the important detail here: did you eat the tongue? And you have no idea how jealous I am that you gone to all of those places. I've never even been to Japan but it is for certain on my bucket list!! I will drag the SO along, too, don't even care! I agree about the cell phone thing. Not that we have any public transit where I live, but I can imagine it
  2. Just finished watching Tammy and the T-Rex. My critique: wat.

  3. I wanted to post again here because I found a translation.
  4. and ive watched it a ton of times now and have the link saved to rewatch when wanting to This is dangerous territory for me. I'm the kind of person who head cannons, and head cannons hard. If I don't get answers I may do something drastic like write a whole fanfic about it. No joke. Someone make this an anime please!!
  5. Thought of something just now... kind of a GIF posting game but you have to post something to the criteria of the previous poster. So if the person above you said "Post a GIF of something cute" you could post puppies being cute, then say the next poster should "Post a GIF with a helicopter" in it and so on.
  6. I know I'm late to the party here but holy stink that video was great. I love the music especially, but the animation was beautiful too. I had to watch it a couple times to understand what was going on but when it hit me I got some chills. I would love for this to somehow expand, it is cool concept and left me thirsty for some closure. It made me feel sad, too. How bittersweet. Thank you for sharing.
  7. You don't need to be a master to be confident, but maybe I chose the wrong word (I do that some times,) But you do sound motivated to learn which I think is a really good thing. You have to start somewhere, after all. You have for certain gotten a better grip on it than I do, lol! Maybe you could try translating more basic Japanese, maybe books intended for kids if you can get your hands on one. I want to visit Japan! But for me it's mostly because I like food, and I want to eat Japanese food. And shopping! Where did you visit? How long? What did you do there? I've heard a lot of
  8. You had me at 'hardcore music'!! Welcome welcome! Who are your favourite artists? I'm a fan of hard rock and metal myself. In fact I just saw Skillet, Devour the Day, and Sick Puppies live last week and had a great time! I met Mark and Bryan from Sick Puppies at the bar after the show and was so nervous! I wanted to take a picture with them but I was too afraid of being creepy, so I missed my chance. I'm still kicking myself in the head for it!
  9. Driving an 03 Audi A6 now, and will have it paid in full by June this year. I'd really love to drive a car that has better access to a mechanic, however, since I live in a very... um... remote area and it's got some tolerable problems that no mechanics here know how to fix. I'd really love a Chevy Impala, though. Who knows, maybe one day a pile of money will fall into my lap and I can have one, lol.
  10. I never finished A Link Between Worlds before I sold my 3DS + some games because I needed some cash to drive myself down to Denver last summer. I felt bad about it since it was something my SO bought for me as a gift. Maybe one day I'll get a chance to play it again, in one form or another. I also want to keep playing Witcher 3 again. I put it down before I even got very far into the story and I really don't know why.
  11. I want so badly to play Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately I don't own either console to play it on, and I don't want to buy a Switch just to play one game. Gahhh it's like having a full-body itch! In the meantime I've been trudging through AC: Syndicate. I'm not so great at stealth. I keep ending up just fighting a huge mob of blighters all at once. Great xp, though. I've been switching between that and Skyrim, since SE came out last November. Been working on 100%'ing it- and I'm pretty close. I managed 100% on the 360, but I feel like I cheated since I did that before Oghma Infinium was patch
  12. There were a couple of fun counting games that come to mind from another forum I used to frequent. One game we try to count to 25, but if a staff member (mod) posts something entirely unrelated, the count starts back at 1 again. Maybe this one was just fun since I was always the one ruining it. The other game was men vs women. You start at 50, women add 2, men subtract 2. The goal is to get to either 0 (men win) or 100 (women win.)

Hello Saff welcome! Im new here too! And hey you gotta start somewhere, to be a good animator you need to practice and practice and practice!
  14. I enjoy manga equally. It's a little more accessible in terms of time/place in comparison to anime, however. Especially if you happen to be a closet fan. You can read manga now on your Kindle if you have one. It's amazing! My only complaint about manga is that it's harder for me to determine settings. It's a personal problem, I guess. There's so much space taken up by speech bubbles and speed lines or other artsy effects that I lose my concentration and this sometimes results in me not understanding the story. Some manga is good about this, but others... they just get a bit too wild to follow.
  15. Nice to meet you! I'm new here, too. So you like rock climbing? I tried that once, got up pretty high and looked down. Big mistake. Not good with high places, I get sick. Maybe hiking is more my thing, lol. But cooking! Now that is something I can share a lot of interest in. I'd love to learn some Japanese recipes, and I'm particularly interested in keto-friendly dishes. As far as I can tell, there is a lot of potential to be found as long as I can skip or substitute the rice. I bet with some practice I can whip up a good miso soup. My favourite two things to cook/eat however is a good ol
  16. Aladdin for the SNES. Got me hooked on the challenge of beating the game. Also played lots of Super Mario World on the same console, but really it wasn't nearly as challenging as Aladdin was. Grr. Really it wasn't even my own console; it belonged to my cousin, so I only got to play when I was at her house in Laguna Beach. Otherwise I was stuck playing the arcade machines at certain places in town, my favourite of which was Mortal Kombat. The first video game I actually owned was Pokemon Blue, when I got super-spoiled one year for my birthday and my mother bought me a GBC. You are
  17. Yukine comes to mind! Cute lil guy. I should finish Noragami.
  18. I can imagine why you'd be picky, since free time becomes more and more precious the more responsibilities that take its place. Opportunity cost, and all. I've tried out a few anime recently, and I find its been a lot harder to get a 'wow' out of myself than before. I might just be afraid of wanting to binge watch something, since I have a tendency to put off things like sleep to get that last squeeze of content, whatever it may be. Do you live in a lowly populated area, out of curiosity? I ask because I used to live in a fairly large city growing up, and it was so so easy to find
  19. I've heard a lot of good things about Tokyo Ghoul and it has me interested. I don't know much about it (that is to say... well, nothing, other than it's really good.) I'll look into it. Where can it be accessed? I have only Netflix right now, but I wouldn't mind looking elsewhere.
  20. The first anime that I invested in (if we're not counting DBZ,) was Fruits Basket. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of the manga first before I was able to actually own any of the DVDs, but it still holds that I didn't really watch any other anime in between that time since I was so focused on that one in particular. I remember what interested me in it was when I read an article about it in a Newtype magazine. I thought the idea was so cool that I went out of my way to find it at a bookstore as soon as I got the money together to do so. I remember being so sad when I got to the end of it s
  21. Alright, where to start? HI. I go by Wedgy most places, so I guess it won't kill me to add another handle to that short list. I like how the community is set up, so thought I'd swing in and give it a go. Back in the day I used to be really into anime. Like, super-obsessive. Used to do the works, had the manga, watched all of the animes. Even tried (and mostly failed,) to tap into my art potential. Loved what was hot then: FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, Wolf's Rain, D.Gray-Man, you know them. DBZ? OF COURSE. I even had the Legend of Zelda volumes because I was tha
