I'm starting to think that's what the Real™ message of Fruits Basket is. This is what I was thinking about earlier, it was hard to put into the right words. It represents the difficulties they face with trust and love that were broken in some form or another by their upbringing. I don't know if it was intentional or not on the author's end, but I find it uncannily representative. I was thinking about Kureno's appearance (finally!) and it had me thinking on something that I can't precisely recall about the manga because it's been so many years since I read it. I will never not recommend Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Looks cute and kid-friendly on the surface. Poses deeply moral questions and a bit of mind-fuckery when you get into it. I must say having read the books and admittedly only playing a few hours of the games (just wasn't into them) I rather enjoyed this as well. I took a break from it after I think it was episode 4? I was mother to a four-month-old at that time and was incredibly sickened by the imagery. But I did eventually press on and what remained of the series was satisfactory. I'm very pleased with Cavill as Geralt and would love to see more of him in that role.

I have a keyboard app on my mobile which is super goofy about autocorrecting. I start to type "could" and it changes it to "xoxo". It evidently decided I meant to say "rape chalk" and I didn't catch it in time. I need to get a new one for sure.

It hasn't reached my area yet, but working on what's effectively our frontline in dealing with it, we've been doing what we can and taking due diligence.
