My computer does not have an optical drive, but I got an external Blu Ray drive, so that I can watch titles not available on iTunes, yet want to keep around, or when it is necessary to boot from a disc.

I used to be an Apple person until I switched back to Windows when Windows 10 came out, since Apple is not going in a direction that I like, but I do have a macOS Sierra VM, since I need a later version of iTunes than what works for how I prefer to buy anime.
I do like using the Debian family of Linux distros though, since getting them up and running are fairly easy, even if all I need is a dev server.

I have transitioned to Blu Rays because I cannot seem to buy anime in any other format and iTunes does not seem to carry all the titles that I want to watch.
For example, Boku Dake ga Inai Machi and Your Lie in April were only available on Blu Ray. Things do seem to look a bit better, but the thing that is great is that video windows not so small any more on my new Surface Book.

Windows 10 is fairly nice here, aside from a few annoyances, like not being able to easily install Apache, MariaDB, and PHP (yes, I know about the packages out there with those stuff built in, but from a Linux/BSD/Mac background, I like using the CLI to deal with those things).
It would have been better though if OpenSSH were available at launch, instead of having to download and install it myself, since Microsoft did promise OpenSSH support.

I am reading A Certain Magical Index and Spice & Wolf, though I need to get more volumes of the latter, since I have had some huge expenses to deal with recently.

Oh wow this is awesome and unexpected! It's kind of like an interactive portfolio/CV is it? I think I had one of those buried somewhere, too, but haven't kept up with it in so long that it's no longer useful.
I see you like Pandora Hearts. I'd totally forgotten about that one. I think I stopped half way in, and I can't remember why. I want to finish it now!
You seem like an awesome person, after snooping on your bio there (sorry.) Publishing a book has always been a dream of mine, and naturally I have a lot of respect for someone who has. I really hope you stick around!
Well, I guess you can call it a portfolio/CV.
For the longest time, there was no page on the root of my domain, so I decided to do something about it, since my blog never really had anything about me in particular.
Right now, it just serves as a way for people to know me better.
Yeah, I think Pandora Hearts is one of the few series that I would even consider giving a close to perfect score, and you should definitely finish it.
I am glad you think I an awesome person. I am not too concern about what people look at over there, so it is fine.
Thanks for warm welcome.

Thanks everyone for all your insightful responses. As for my opinion, even though I don't know much about it, I kind of understand why they westernized it, but also think that they're kind of not caring what the real fans (you know, the people that made it popular) think about it. But on the other hand, apparently there is a different Death Note movie out, it has an entirely Japanese cast but I heard that it's good. So, maybe they figured the original fans already had a movie based off the real thing and so the American version is more for the people that don't know about the anime and manga. Just like what @zoop said, they're making it for the basic people who don't care what happened in the original and just want to see the westernized version, and I can understand that.
Anyway, thanks again for your guys' replies! I really appreciated them.
Are you talking about this particular movie? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758742/?ref_=nv_sr_3
If you are, than it is not that great, since either the actors do not know what a heart attack is or the director did not know what a real heart attack was like.
As for the American adaptation, I do not know what to think of it. I do not like some changes that they made, but I am not going to write it off just yet.

I like quite a few titles that have aired recently, thought I tend to enjoy those with a good story and/or where I can connect with the characters well.
This page will answer that for you, since it is my personal site.
Detective Conan is fairly high as well, but not as much as those that I listed on that page.

I will would watch anime either way, but prefer to watch anime dubbed, since subbed anime has problems that do not exist with dubs, such as:
*they can be hard to read because of contrast, font, or font size (I have encountered a few titles where subtitles were too small to read)
*viewer must be able to concentrate enough to read the subtitles, in other words, not dealing with something like a headache.
If the show has a dub, I will probably switch over to it, though I try to avoid subs when I get a headache.

Good afternoon, everyone. I am, brycec, and I have been watching anime for quite a few years, and thought that I would join this community, since many others seem to not have anything interesting to talk about.

I mainly use Edge to read PDFs and do not use anything else, but I do have access to Acrobat DC if I need more functionality.
