Finally beat Trails in the Sky SC, but I feel more infuriated rather than satisfied because the game forced my hand near the end.
-
Got to chapter 6 of Trails in the Sky SC. Kind of wish I could use my new dual shock 4 on in, but cannot figure out to many of the key binding, plus could not figure out what to do about the joy sticks.
Oh well, at least it is not the kind of game that really requires a controller for one handed play.

Well, this is quite surprising. An episode of Detective Conan came out on Crunchyroll on my birth day, which was a little surprising, though it was mostly right on time.
Still, kind of weird, because it never happened to me before.

Got Trails in the Sky SC yesterday, and it feels like a few things have been forgotten from 1, though I can still line the song up with things. I should have played this immediately after 1.

Decided to try out prototyping an app in Adobe XD. Not liking how Apple put together some of the assets (cannot delete some unnecessary elements that might cause confusion), but It should not be too much trouble when it is time to create the project.

Finally finished working through my Swift book, so I guess it is time to try making an app.
I was thinking of doing a text-based RPG, which should be very doable on my own, and help me practice the concepts I learned.
Sadly, I will have to start from scratch, due to the fact that using code I have will face obvious problems that come from stitching things together, though it still has useful data.

I'm (usually) happy to refactor my code, especially if what is being redone is the result of a learning process. Yes, it takes time (that sometimes I don't have), but the result is much better code overall, and it reinforces what I've learned. I also get a chance to encapsulate bits of code for later reuse, which saves time down the road, which makes it easier to find the time to refactor the next chunk of code.

Extremely annoyed with todays Swift lessons in the book today. They were way too, and I had to look up example code.
I guess I will have to do the lab from tonight's lesson tomorrow.

Got done everything I needed to before the Halloween treat tonight.
Finally, a moments reprieve.

Looked at some Macs today, since my Mac Mini will likely not work well for iOS development some day (it cannot be officially upgraded beyond 10.13), and not happy with the prices.
Oh well, I at least found something that would well for both iOS development and something that can serve as a backup machine, if something makes my Surface Book unusable.
Still, I wish VirtualBox would not refuse to connect my iPad to guest OS, so that the money can be saved.

Looks like I lost Internet this morning, which means note taking will be difficult.
Thankfully, I can tap into my phone's Internet access if need be. Plus Plex works on LAN.
-
Well, this is dumb. I completed the book that my Swift class is using and working through the other book, which is a lot better than the one my class uses, and I am stuck in a lab with something that seems ridiculous.
Hopefully, the teacher's guide for this book has a fix.

After having the ringing turn down, I am glad that the phone is not bothering me, but with it being election season here, I wonder if there will every be a day in which the elections is not between a douche and a turd sandwich.

Except for one person, I got my Christmas/Birthday shopping done. Now, I can relax.

Not sure about you guys, but I hate being reminded of what is going on with computers these. I do not mess with hardware too much, as I am more concerned with stability and being able to do what I want or need to, but there are some upgrades that need to be done to be able to stay productive, but the ability to make those upgrades are disappearing.

Found out that instructions for getting the new Mac OS in VirtualBox have been posted, and going through the procedures right now. Hopefully, things will work out.

Yes! After making some changes, my app has finally been accepted for sale.
If you guys want to check it out, here is a link.

This app is iOS only right now. I might make a version for Android, as I already paid the fee for that years ago, but it has been a while since I programmed in Java and I do not want to bother with Kotlin while my class on Swift is still going on (not to mention I hate how Google makes things hard for worldwide releases, due to having to manually entering prices).

@ArchieKun Thanks. I think it looks better than the one for the Desktop version. Of course, that may be because the original icon had a gray background, and I changed it to black.
-
That's true. Only annoying part is I need to look up having to deals with alphas when making icons. Apple complains about them being present when I submit to their App store, and I have to use Apple Preview to get them out. I am pretty sure GIMP and PS should have that capability, but I wish Apple was not so anal about it.
Oh well, I guess the convenience of having them automatically set prices based on the one I specify for the US market is better than being forced to make changes myself.
-
Well, this is frustrating. Tried submitting an app for sale, but it was rejected due to crashing over IPv6, and cannot check things out because setup does not make it possible to do IPv6 testing.
Bright side is that I was able to find a few other issues in the code and sorted those out.
-
@Wedgy That's true.
Of course, for some reason, I think I was given unnecessary data to troubleshoot, as the app does not try to access things on LAN or WAN, which was a bit troublesome. It does everything in its own instance.

For some reason, I get the feeling that something is going to come up that I would not like, such conundrums that can kill a person’s motivation.
Things are not like they were before and will get stressful, but it does not change the fact that people do not always think of the best solutions.

Thanks @ArchieKun

Created a program today that would allow me to check color contrast without needing the Internet.
Sadly, it only runs on the MacOS, due to there not being any good GUI libraries for Swift that would support Linux and Mac.

Well, that was disappointing. I watched the last episode of Grand Blue Dreaming and could not really enjoy myself.
Baka & Test was way better.
-
Watched a great episode of South Park that was poking fun of cable companies and parental controls being used for good intentions.
It really did a good job at showing why my generation prefers streaming stuff.

Not sure about you guys, but I do not really get why there is a debate between whether to use tau (aka. 2pi) and pi, when we should be using both, if the info in this video is accurate.
(1/2)(tau)(r^2) is still pi*(r^2), but I can sense (tau)r being a bit easier to write than (2pi)r.

Not yet time for class, but I learned how to do something useful in Swift.
If you want to see what I learned and try it out for yourself, here is a link.

Comments have not been updated, so documentation is not completely accurate.
Please note that this code will only work on Mac, Ubuntu, and WSL (Ubuntu install) because Swift is only official supported on macOS and Ubuntu.
