Tried updating some Swift code to utilize the new abilities of Swift 4.2, and I am glad to say that things are looking to be much more friendly for cross platform programming.
I just wish it were possible to make cross platform GUI apps, like you can with Java and Python.

Remembering Monday’s class, where I had to create a function for a meme or something, and I got it to say.
”I don’t always crack servers, but when I do, people have minds blown.”

Yes! Today, I finally beat DQ 11. There were quite a few annoyances, including moments that the creators decided I should be able to roam when there was nothing to do but initiate the next cut scene, but I enjoyed the ride overall.
-
You sound somewhat like me at the end of DQ8...though I was more "yes! He's really dead this time!" I had a frustrating experience with the "oh I wasn't at full power! You won but didn't!" plotline of that one. The last battle took over an hour...and i had to attempt it multiple times...v_v I'm glad you enjoyed DQ11
-
The annoying part of 8 was that I had to seemingly waste so many rounds to get that barrier off, and I was kind of done when things got to that point.
11 had the annoyance of making me grab a line as a fish, when the queen just me flying. Why must I get to the surface myself by grabbing the line? Can’t we just get me to be human again already?
Later, the big bad of the game was introduced and then had his moment crushed by the current villain, but I do not know anything about the big bad unless I do post game.
post game was well worth it though, and finally gave me a complete story.

Finally beat all three Drustan Trials in Dragon Quest 11, and took out pretty much every super boss.
Sadly, I need to grind more to completely beat the game. Hopefully, the next set of trials are easier.
-
Got started on DQ 11’s post game, and the real grind has started.
Hopefully, I can find some metal slimes so that I can finally complete the last of the Dustran trials and beat the true final boss.
-
Beat the normal final boss of DQ 11.
Only complaint is that there are still questions I have regarding the story, but since the post game is supposed be different from other titles in the series, those should be resolved.

Thanks @ArchieKun

No prob @brycec

Glad to have another ordinary day before class number 2 tonight.
However, what has me most excited is that I finally found DQ 11’s gold region. Might not be a great place to grind after a while, but I can at least get new gear quicker than the usual slog.

Got done with the first night of programming classes, and found out that everything will mostly be in class, which means I can play more Dragon Quest 11 (just have to remember to save often, otherwise I will need to fight bosses all over again).
-
I liked the classes where the professor handed out homework assignments and test dates for the semester at the beginning and all I had to do was turn in the homework on time and show up for the tests (& labs). I hated the ones that made attendance part of the grade. Invariably those were the most boring classes too.. usually just listening to some canned lecture.

So happy that some of the things pressuring me are finally gone.
Life will still stress me out, but many of those are manageable through planning and making preparations against possible risk.

praise thee, and amen, for what thy has spokenth is but of the grandest of thy truths
is how the centurians would say it but....
....in 2018 generations language "so true fam "
(i dont even know, i think that's how it goes >.>, but for real's, good to know life wont be strangling you, as much as hangman's noose does, which is kinda tight, so tight no oxygen will flow through >.>)

@XII360 Normally, you would die from a broken neck, unless things were not done right or by use of short drop, but you are correct for suicide by hanging.
But yeah, it is good to know that life have lessened up a bit

Started playing DQ 11, and it is pretty enjoyable, though I wish it was as friendly for one handed play as the iOS ports (tried customizing controls, but they do not like cursor and movement controls being the same).
Maybe, I should get a controller after all.
-
Yes! I just checked Steam today, and I can finally install DQ 11.
Hopefully, things work out well for me, especially because Square Enix never provided a public demo.
-
Well, this was disappointing. I was expecting this to be a great day, and it was ruined by feeling more pressure.
Thankfully, there was still some good that happened before that, so I can at least relax.
-
Kind of hate how I was reminded how messed up this world is. People are nice, especially the ones I met here, but many do not realize how many things are out there that take away a person’s motivation.
-
Decided to do New Game+ Of Trails in the Sky and I made it to the final dungeon in only 24 or so hours of playtime, including side quests and defeating the lieutenant in Grancel Castle.
-
Got an invitation for an interview on freelance gig that I am kind of confident that I can do, but it will take time to figure out.
Hopefully, the interview goes well.
-
Not sure how many Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X fans there are here, but I found this video where blacksmith create Kenshin’s sword that was a very interesting watch.
-
Kind of weird. I thought I noticed an invitation to be interviewed by a potential client, yet there was nothing there when I investigated, so there is no of knowing what job it was.
Bright side is that I do not have to decline an invite because something was telling me that the client is not being completely honest.
-
I sometimes get requests for help with computers, but those have been more on the side than actual job opportunities.
What I think might be happening is that people on the freelancing site know that I am new to freelancing (worked a few normal 9 to 5 types, but feel like my time, as well as the company's, gets wasted more than if I could focus on one thing and be done with it) and think that they can pull the wool over my eyes.
It's either that, or like other scammers, they are just trying to find out who is gullible enough to fall for their trap.
-
Not a good day to look at freelancing jobs.
Only one seemed to be something that I might be able to do, yet the poster made things confusing by saying they wanted somebody with a good understanding of HTML+CSS, yet no coding was required.
-
Yes! I am almost done with everything I need to do this month.
Now, I will be free to mess around and/or go looking through listings for freelance jobs.
-
Decided to do a test run of overlaying video over video in Premiere, and it ended up taking a lot of time.
Of course, it will be useful if I ever transition to doing video reviews.
-
It's pretty much dead now, but I was still able to get some laughs from this thread, if you want to check it out.
It is the thread I talked about in a reply to you.

Not really looking forward to seeing how my nieces and nephews might be indoctrinated when they get older.
This is nothing new for these people, but I still hate they make people this stuff comes from heaven, rather than decisions made by people.
-
Got a little annoyed today with family thinking that I will have to grow out of a certain medium eventually.
I probably will not always be into anime and manga, but people that cannot acknowledge the strengths and weaknesses of each medium used to tell a story will not be able to find great stories easily

I finally beat Trails in the Sky FC. Navigating the final dungeon was much more difficult than facing the final boss fights.
