  1. I finally got to the final chapter of Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Kind of wish I had Khloe in my team right now though.

I am still on the first game. I wanted Khloe because she has better healing than what I have access to, as I am stuff at HP 2 on water type. As of now, I am in Grancel castle and talked to the queen.

As for checking out zero, thanks for the suggestion, though I am playing it while waiting for DQ 11.

It's probably worth investing in putting both HP 2 and Mind 2 or Heal on your main healer, just to get them up to Tearal/La Teara. We normally dedicate one entire line of Estele to healing Quartz, but it's up to your play style. We've seen Estele played hyper aggressive with Attack, Evade, Hit, Deathstrike 1, Action, and Move.

This isn't a spoiler, but it's a particularly broken thing that you can do, so if you want to remain pure, it might be best to avoid it.

Have you experienced the joys of Chaos Brand? It's a 10 EP Art that requires 5 Mirage quarts (generally Information + EP 2 or EP 1 + Hit 1in the early game). It has a 100% chance of confusion. Confusion is absolutely busted, because not only does it effectively neutralise a target, it makes them fight for you.

Chaos Brand as an art is quite amusing to look at throughout the Trails series because it just constantly gets nerfed every single game by making it cost more EP, making it require more Quartz, making more enemies immune to it, and eventually they had to completely change the effect of it and then remove it entirely because it's impossible to balance. In FC though you can play almost the entire game just casting Chaos Brand and healing spells.

I have Estele with one of each type, except time, and earth type has poison and defense 2, so my current team has pretty good defense.

Right now, I am trying to upgrade slots.

As for Choas Brand, I never heard of it I have been spamming stone impact, Ariel, and White Gehanna (or whatever it is called).

      Thanks for the tips.

  2. Got annoyed by a twitter notification of a charity streaming event. Not too sure why I was included, when I do not really do any streaming.

  3. Just started play Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky this week, though the movie was disappointing. Hopefully, it ends up being good, even if gold farming is irritating.

in my case, trails of sky was fun, i couldnt finish it, due to school reason's, but while i was playing it, it had the story well made,

its very slow tho', but does it get the rpg element right

I am just glad it was simple enough to play. With how games are today, they seem to be too much, as I can only use one hand. I am mostly playing it to pacify my anxiousness for DQ 11.

As for it being slow, I can see that, with all of the cut scenes present and how I cannot save during them.

  4. I recently came across a blog post talking about Liar Game, and I found it interesting how the writer explains one of the more obvious, yet great, messages found in it than many people who know me IRL think I can.

If you guys want to check it out, here is the link.

  5. Not sure about you guys, but I am looking forward to playing DQ 11 in September. The series has been more friendly for me to play that many console that came out recently, and I hope the Steam port works well enough that I do not need a dual shock 4.

  6. Still kind of frustrated by what happened during the weekend, because people think that I am not thinking long term, by pointing out the risks of not doing something they want me to do.

Why do people not realize that good long term decisions means looking at both the risks of doing something and the risks of not doing it, rather than only one set of risks?

  7. Signed up for a class on Apple’s Swift language aimed at app devs. Hopefully, it proves useful, though Swift is not a language that is supported on anything outside Linux/WSL and Apple’s operating systems.

@Wedgy Hopefully so. Right now, I managed to make a text-based version of the card game War, and I have also tried doing a text-based RPG (more of a test run than actual game right now), but I cannot do anything with a graphical Interface, unless I am okay with things being either Mac/iOS or Linux exclusive.

  8. Note to self: Do not go out to get mail completely barefoot during a solstice season, even if it means you have better balance.

  9. Can be quite frustrating when family does not realize how much trouble it is to give access to things to family not under the same roof. Detecting cracks can be difficult with more people and set ups that are bad.

I had the same problem with one of my own online accounts.  I finally had to be the grinch and change my password because they just wouldn't acknowledge the problem they were causing and cooperate on a solution.

Then I had my account locked a couple times because of too many consecutive login failures.  :( Eventually they gave up and I got my account back but... jeez.

Glad I am not the only one with this issue. It would certainly be much easier if they respected my answer of no. Of course, it is either give in, or try to be convinced.

  10. programming can be such a pain sometimes, especially with languages like Swift and Python, but it at least gives me something to do that keeps me thinking.

I normally do calculation type such, like I made a mobile app that will put out how much space things like hard drives have. But I have been trying to create an RPG recently. Right now, I broke the battle system somehow.

  11. started looking at job listings on a freelancing site and submitted two proposals. Not sure that I will get either one of them accepted, but I am kind of confident that I can give them what they need, either being confident enough that I can learn as I go or that my skill set really does like it will fit the job.

Thanks. The listings are kind of easy to see what they want or prefer in a client, and they tell you the length. The only hard part is getting that first gig and keeping a steady stream.

  12. Been quite a busy week, but I am happy to be away from home and in an environment where I am accepted for being me, and not made to suffer through guilt trips or feel manipulated into doing things.

Only sad part is that this will not last forever, as I will have to return home eventually.

  13. Currently frustrated with Amazon. I found out that I qualify for a discount on Prime, and when I tried to get it, I noticed a pending charge for Prime that should not have arrived until next year, but in the amount of a monthly payment, and tried to get it changed back, but could not without paying another $99 a month after the initial $99 payment.

For now, avoid Amazon if you qualify for government assistance discounts.

They kind of did, but I still had to cancel my membership and resubscribe to get my yearly payments back. They said they would refund me $90 and something cents, as well as the $5.99 for the charge that was immediately made immediately upon trying to get the discount, which I was mad about, aside from no yearly option for the discount.

Right now, the $90 refund came in, but not the $5.99 one.

  14. Decided to check out Gurren Laggan, since I now have Prime, one of the only places showing it dubbed legally here. So far, things are pretty enjoyable, but not sure I can sit through all 27 episodes.

I loved Gurren Laggan, and felt the episodes went bu very quickly. The characters developed well (and you’re with them for a long time, timeline wise) ;)

I finished it just a bit ago, and while the characters did get flesh out, I was done by the end. It had too many recaps (I do not want to be reminded of what I just watched when there are less than 50 episodes) and things felt like they were dragging on towards the end to the point where I did not care about the epilogue. I wish they cut all those recaps and just made the final battle an extended length episode.

  15. About to test out Project Fi with a Verizon Samsung S8+. Hopefully, things work out well.

  16. Thanks for the follow.

  17. got signed up on Discord recently, and things seem to be looking good.

Community I am in is hard to figure out a bit though,

  18. Kind of sad to see something come up that may put a damper in the peacefulness there has been between an Hmod and I at another community, but things like this are bound to happen. Hopefully, things will not escalate further.

  19. Anyone using a Fire TV or Fire TV Stick? I got one recently, and while there are nice things about it, I find the Apple TV better, if your concern is casting capabilities.

  20. Hope everyone has a good year. I suddenly have plans tonight with some friends. Kind of strange, but it is a bit better than the alternative.

  21. Look like this month had quite a few headaches. First, it was Amazon and the cancelled preorder and now a book store deciding to deviate from its usual pattern of shipping caused more headaches for something more important.

  22. Kind of dumb. I was expecting to get a book today, but Amazon notified me that my order was cancelled and the release date for today has not changed, nor can I manually order the edition. Oh well, at least there is one title guaranteed to come this week.

@Vivi HyuugaI was a little upset at Yen Press, but the buy button eventually came up.

  23. Finally beat the last of the 7 Dragon Quest titles available to me. Should have focused on magic more than swords in 8.

  24. I went to see some Christmas lights and took a photo of one of the sights I saw. Do not know how well this turned out, but I tried touching it up a bit (totally new at enhancing photos via Lightroom). I hope you all like it.christmas_lights.thumb.jpg.277564ddac00a97f6b9e68974593c4aa.jpg
