I haven't bought any figures for years, mainly because I've not seen any I like.  I had a look at a couple of on-line shops a few weeks back and the figures they had were of characters I didn't know from series I'd not watched, which was probably a Good Thing because the prices were wallet worrying  .   Figure models were never cheap, but I don't recall them being that expensive.
