It been awhile XD
Finished Dragon Ball
Absolutely brilliant can't wait for DBZ, naturally gutted about the more recent news in the DB circle all I can say on that is that Akira Toriyama was a legend and I'm totally gonna be playing Chrono Trigger.
Up to episode 71 of Galaxy Express 999
A great show by the also unfortunately late Leiji Matsumoto
Completed Star Wars Visions
Yeah this wasn't the best probably just further prove that the best anime is made exclusively in Japan, it reminds me strongly of Halo Legends a jumbled messy that fails to be as good as other similar anime in the genre whilst also failing to feel and capture the sprite of the source material (not that Disney can do that either)
Re-watched Toradora!
Natural this show only gets better
Watched Blue Submarine No. 6
This was a really good one that I randomly watched, highly recommend need to watch more GONZO shows.
Watched Lunar Legend Tsukihime
Really enjoyed this, kind of had some stilted animation, but a great story.
Re-Watched Mobile Suit Gundam Origin
I'm one of the biggest OG Gundam Fans in the World, We all know I enjoyed this rewatch.Re-Watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
This is a classic anime though the more I rewatch it the more tempted I am to watch the classic FMA
Started watching Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
This is a wonderful fantasy anime and very Tolkin in feeling
Goblin Slayer Season 2
This one was also super good, I have to say their was a lot of strong fantasy anime this last season or 2. So glad we saw the return of Goblin Slayer
Pluto
I honestly didn't like this which was disappointing as I had high hopes for the show since it came from the same writer as Monster
Finished Nadia The Secret of Blue Water
Also just recently finished Nadia the Secret of Blue Water, it was so good I smashed though this show effortless and I didn't even skip the filler arch's which I actually (controversial opinion) enjoyed

So since the last post
Girls Und Panzer Girls Und Panzer Der Film Girls Und Panzer Der Final (Part 1 and Part 2)
I don't know why but following the Tien Shinhan Tournament Saga I ended up watching all of Girls Und Panzer from the first show though to the latest film, it was actual really fun but that's maybe because I'm as much a historian as a weeb
Arion
This was a weird but really enjoyable film sad it never got a English dub as a lot of my friends won't watch unless its dubbed, enjoyed the fusion of Greek Myth with the Ragnarök story but still its just one more of those forgotten anime gems to add to the list
Castle in the Sky
I really enjoyed Castle In the Sky reminding me a lot of Nausicaa which I personally loved.
I also then watched two other studio Giblie films; Howls Moving Castle and Kiki's Delivery Service
However I don't think I liked these two as much (personal taste) They where still fun films just not as good as Castle in the Sky IMO
Dragon Ball The King Piccalo Saga
One more Saga to go an I've finished the first Dragon Ball, the King Piccalo saga was itself amazing the plot felt real tight and the development of the villains and characters was awesome. Love the battles between Goku and King Piccalo.
Project Aika
This is the most retro OVA anime ever. Started watching it about a week ago making though the first 4 episodes but then got distracted by a different anime all together.
Kill La Kill
This was nothing short of epic, I loved this series almost as much as Gurren Lagann but still nothing but praise for Kill La Kill it was little short of a masterpiece
Really want to re-watch it already or a show like it at least...
maybe time to re-watch Gurren Lagann
Re;Zero
Someone @MediaConsumesMe and all I can say and I think he will agree with me on this one. Incel the anime. The MC is a fucking creep.
That's more or less the anime I have watched.
That said their is one more that I'm planning to watch come charismas no mater what else is on the agenda
The perfect anime for the holidays #GUNDAMXMASTHEANIME
-
That's a tough question for sure
Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill
Simon from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Susumu Kodai from Space Battleship Yamato
Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist
Rintaro Okabe from Steins;Gate
Shirou Emiya from Fate Stay Night
Ryuji Takasu from Toradora!
Those are the ones coming to mind at the moment anyway.

So I made a new anime meme I'll link it bellow

I haven't been on here since April shit that's a lot of anime since then...
Completed Highschool DXD
Watched this in about three days, was actually looking for Classroom of the Elite, don't really know how I ended up watching DXD but it was not as brain dead as I though and their were some cool fights and erm other interesting parts to the show.
Completed SpyXFamily
Binged this show in one day, so chill and a great vibe.
Completed the Tien Shinhan Tournament Arch of Dragon Ball
This was awesome, loved the development of Tien Shinhan and the fight get better? How this is already awesome.
Watched the Fate Strange Fake Prologue
This was super cool can't wait for the rest of the season to drop
Completed Gun Smith Cats
This was amazing, reminded me a lot of Riding Bean, which is also great by the way, defiantly check this one out.
Rewatched the first two archs of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Got though the first two archs currently watching Pycho Pass but need to get back on to this one.
Rewatching Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works
We were watching this one but paused half way though the season at the mid point, need to continue with the show
Rewatching Pycho-Pass
Love the series and enjoying the rewatch so far
Completed Flag
This was a really deep and though provoking show need to watch more Ryosuke Takahashi works
Watched Mobile Suit Gundam Cucuruz Doans Island
This was amazing. Blew my breath away, wish we could get some more OG gundam like this.
Probably gonna continue with DB and finish that off soon.
Then I might hit Attack of Titan Season 3 or another show thats been waiting in the wings for two long. And Galaxy Express need to still finish that one, once DB is done I can power though that and maybe AOT S3 as a dub show alongside.
I rewatched some other shows two and some films but I can't for the life of me remember that far back.

Anime Recommendations you say
Do I have any?
Maybe Oshi No Ko or Yamada-Kun to Lv999 no Koli wo Suru that sounds like something I would suggest
No seriously though watch Mobile Suit Gundam and embrace the amazing world building and deep character writing of Yoshiyuki Tomino

I did that and the Durandal sequel with my brother, back in the day.
I heard they're considering a reboot.
I heard that myself a few years ago.
Not sure what a remake or reboot of Marathon would be like honestly, I won't lie and say that I'm overall found of reboots with most falling short or losing an element of the originals that I liked such as Dead Space, Halo CE and some of the Resident Evil remakes and the rumoured KOTOR remake is already troubling.
I say just play the originals, in those other games cases or in the case of Marathon, as I doubt modern bungie could match classic bungie back in thier heyday.
Plus thier free to download
Who can resisted something thats free

As I was rewatching though the first half of Zeta Gundam and got to Episode 23 I got this terrible idea for a meme
Sorry in advance...

Mine was based on the old FPS shooter by Bungie for the Macintosh, Marathon.
Add Guy on the end and 1337 for that old Y2K memory lane and that's how I ended up as MaratahonGuy1337
Posting gifs always is unrelated but I think it helps show off my unhinged gloopy gamer brain where I need flashy explosions and action sprinkled in between the words.
Or cute anime girls (Tsundere are the best!)

Oh a movie as well. Dam thats a lot to get thou but hay I'll see if mabye after the Fortune Tella Baba Arch I can hope on to Jujutsu Kaisen

Its weird but never a big season watcher, though thier are quite a few that I've seen on MAL and the internet coming up that I'm very curious about. Don't think I could keep up with all of them but will add to my MAL List for a future date. Thiers just so many anime series, to watch from across the decades.
I don't even think I could get to the point where I'd be able to keep up with anime seasonally

Jujutsu Kaisen returns in July. I watched Season 1. Who's looking forward to Season 2?
I have yet to watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 is it any good? If it is I need to get it done before the second season drops

I really need to update more regularly
Rewatrching Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam still (about half way though just after the Titan take the Moon and the AEUG are on the run)
One of my all time favourites can't wait to see Axis Zeon entrance into the war, Haman Karn is best girl
Watched the Attack on Titan OVA No Regrets
Not sure about this one to be honest it was very short so I didn't feel much for the characters, and Levi edge lord backstory was almost a little two edgy like maybe they could have toned it down a little.
Started rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (got though the first arch)
Really enjoying this series thou it has made me want to watch the original one just to see the difference probably do that after I rewatched FMAB thou
Rewacthed Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin (Well technically watched as I watched the TV show version this time not the OVA version)
Really enjoyed this thou I do think the OVA was better, ever so much, still thou the TV show was a good adaptation of the Manga Arch, the whole backstory part from Volume V to Volume VII. Really enjoyed but would recommended the OVA or even Manga over this one ever so much.
Wacthed Attack on Titan Season 2
I really am confused by this series, maybe it me or how I watched it but I'm not getting into it at all. Maybe I went in with too high expectations with all the craze at the time when I started AOT Season 1 with Season 4's ending part II announcement, so I'm probably gonna break from watching season 3 for now get though some of my other backlog of anime and go from there.
Just finished Ningen Fushin: Adventures Who Don't Believe In Humanity Will Save the World Fusion Adventures who don't believe in saving the world.
I actually enjoyed this series, it dumb fun honestly and I think it was a lot better than I was originally thinking go into to this.
Still stuck on Dragon Ball but with Ningen Fushin finished I can get back on that one and get though the rest of the Fortune Teller Baba Arch

Really enjoyed the re-watch
Started Watching the Fortuna Teller Baba Arch of Dragon Ball
Really enjoying the series, Kid Goku is awesome!
Re-watched the first half of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
One of my all time favourites, showing a mate for the first time.
Weirdly also watched some of the SD Gundam Mark I and Mark II
I hate how I got all the in jokes...
Also still watching Ningen Fushin
Really enjoying the season so far...

Film recommendations? Well I have a few so buckle up and open up MAL in a separate window.
So starting with the best film I have...
Mobile Suit Gundam Chars Counterattack
Thats probably not a surprise and its a bias pick to be sure as my favourite film from the Gundam Franchise and being a diehard Gundam fan. Chars counterattack however is best watched once your more into the Gundam franchise, you kind of need to get into the Universal Century before diving into this one.
Mobile Suit Gundam F91
Another great film is Gundam F91, a little bit of a slow burn in terms of plot, F91 is a classic OG anime film that has beautiful animation and some awesome mecha designs.
Mobile Suit Gundam (Trilogy)
Another great option would be the Gundam Trilogy, especially encounters in space, this series of films is a great way to get into the gundam universal century and I'd recommend them as they are very enjoyable even if a little condensed.
Five Star Stories
A cult classic hidden gem anime film, based on the legendary manga of the same name, highly recommend this one even if this film only covers a small part of the story seen in the manga, regardless tis a great story with fun characters and awesome action scenes.
Patlabor and Patlabor II
These films are awesome, they are great mystery and mecha action fair, with deep political themes, who'd think that police procedural and mecha action would work so well together.
Venus Wars
Venus Wars is a film that has a subpar plot, a odd pacing, which takes forever in act 1 and rushes though the second and third acts, but I still really enjoy this film, with amazing perhaps some of the best animation in films period, beyond perhaps Akira, I'd recommend as the film has become a cult classic.
Crusher Joe (The Movie)
This is one of my all time favourite films, a great space opera vintage anime film, that's full of adventure and action, classic space opera anime and highly recommend.
Dirty Pair Project Eden
This was a fun adventure comedy following the disastrous duo of the the dirty pair on one of thier hilarious mishaps of a mission that involves a mad scientist and a world ending plot which they avoid and then, well its the dirty pair so I'll let you find out.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes; My Conquest is the Sea of Stars
This is a great film and a great way to get introduced into the classic Legend of the Galactic Heroes (1988) OVA series, an a pretty good standalone if you just like space opera and political intrigue, I would recommend the series after this obviously,
Violet Evergarden (The Movie)
This was one of my favourite films I've watched more recently and I really enjoyed, defiantly need to watched the series first thou with this one.
Also a couple film I haven't got round to watch these films, but they are certainly on my list and recommend others give them a check out at a later point to.
Arion
This is a classic anime series based on Greek Mythology, based on the Manga by YAS of Gundam Fame, and developed into a film that looks really enjoyable.
Galaxy Express 999 (Trilogy)
This is a film compilation based on the Galaxy Express 999 series and also a few sequels that continue to expanded the story, based on the manga by the recently departed Leiji Matsumoto, I've been watching the TV series but would recommend the films as well.
Space Battleship Yamato (Trilogy)
Also the space battleship yamato compilation films be it the remake or the original series, I enjoyed the series and would recommend the films at least to get you into the franchise.
Arcadia of My Youth
And last but not least, Arcadia of My Youth, the prequel to the Space Pirate Captain Halrock series again created by the late Leiji Matsumoto, this looks like a really good film and I really wanna watch this one and recommend it to anyone else who wants to get into the Leijiverse.

Disappointments and Unexpected Hits. Well I see a little conversation about AOT, so I'm gonna completely ignorer than and the other obvious dead house of Naruto and talk about something different, something older.... something retro... 80 retro.
Okay lets get started, lucky watching old VHS rips of 80s TV series and OVAs means I have a lot of both disappointments and unexcepted hits.
Gall Force
Gall Force was pretty disappointing when I first watched it a while back now, I think I was expecting something more like Bubble-gum Crisis which where made by the same studio Youmex but maybe I shouldn't have got my hopes up to much as well Youmex was a bit of a mess behind the scenes so kind of make me wonder how the hell they where able to pull of Bubble-gum-Crisis
Armitage III
This one was sort of disappointing, it was short and for a detective story it felt kind of rushed and thier was little payoff to the whole investigation and mystery
Onto unexpected hits
Riding with Bean
This one is great, the only disappointing aspect was that thier wasn't really more of it, in terms of the OVA. fun cast, car chases, fan service and action why didn't we get more of this?
Area 88
My god this is so good, It's just really bombastic and badass, yet deep and introspective at the same time. Okay so imagine Top Gun but with a Anti-War message, which places Shin Kazama, our MC, here into a war he wants no part of but slowly he begins to loss his humanity and end up... will I won't spoil it. If you want to find out I recommend watching the show, honestly its really good and its like either 2 OVAs for the English dub and like I think 3 OVAs for the original Japanese.
Blue Comet ZPT Layzner
This one was just so cool, I went in completely blind and honestly its one of my favourite mecha series, the Blue Comet itself the titular Mecha of the MC Eiji Asuka, I would really recommend this one if you haven't seen it
