Hello! I'm Kay but I also go by Blue in some places, like Discord. I actually go by both names there, too, lmao. ANYWAY I enjoy anime, as I'm sure you can guess because I'm here. I also enjoy video games and roleplaying (mostly on Discord or Tumblr). I'm a female so I prefer she/her based pronouns. I'm not too picky about it, however, but yeah. When it comes to anime, I sort of prefer the action/adventure ones with a comedic edge and an unearthly vibe to it, like magic or demons. Just something that isn't purely normal human stuff. With games, I have the same preference and love open world types, such as the infamous Elder Scrolls or Fable. That's it about me for now. As I get to know you guys, I'll likely reveal more about me! ^-^

So It's been ages seems like since I last posted sorry about that been a roller coaster of business and lulls but for someone reason despite all that I was watching I haven't logged in and write anything. FYI: I try not to give spoilers but there might still be some. Okay so I had watched the first 3 episodes and then I kinda just left it for awhile and I just finished it up finally. Well I really like this series but honestly the first and second season of this arc were a little crazy to keep track of as far has the different for a lack of a better term Parties. There were so many different groups and characters galore I definitely still feel confused about it. At the same time the main plot line seems very clear, to me anyways. I totally feel like there should be a breakdown of everything somewhere online to accompany this season. It had a nice tidy ending which for this series I think definitely needed that happy ending after all that suffering and craziness. It was definitely worth watching.

Hi everyone, Please help me track down an anime I saw as kid. Certainly I don't remember the title, but I remember some of the plot and what the characters looked like. It was a sci-fi. I remember it was about a princess (I presume she was) being abducted and our heroes travel on a space ship to rescue her. The main male protagonist was thin, wore blue jeans, green T-shirt, carried a knife, among the rest of the rescuers there were 2 other guys, one wearing glasses, grey trousers, white T-shirt, was extremely fearful. Also there was a fat guy who most likely wore a green T-shirt, very fearful too. Also they had a robot teammate accompanying them. There was a scene where our rescuers reach something resembling a shaft, with blue walls. A descent into the cave. They start climb it down. As they look down, it’s descending into darkness, while when they look up, there’s a bright light above. Then they end up inside an underground cave. The only villain I remember was the Cyclops in the cave, this one scared me a lot as a kid. I remember there's a part where the princess is shown chained in the cave and the Cyclops was sleeping beside her/guarding. As the heroes are walking the cave, Pink Floyd's "Time" is playing (I remember that part was very scary back then). That's all I manage to remember, the easiest way to identify this would be the cyclops and Pink Floyd's "Time". It was a wonderful anime from what I remember. Somebody please help me find this. I absolutely loved it as a kid. Thanks in advance so much.

What makes an anime an anime and no longer a cartoon? Like Avatar the last air bender isn’t considered an actual anime, but I think it has the qualities to be one

TL;DR I like Saitama more than Midoriya, and the themes of One Punch Man appeal to me more than My Hero Academia's. Also, hype culture is bad for any media. I will try to make this blog post spoiler-free, so no worries about that. However, I can't guarantee anything I source will be spoiler-free, so discretion is still advised. This blog entry was inspired from @Seshi and me talking on the Introduce Forums, found here. I tried to condense a lot of what I was thinking there, so hopefully it sounds more fluid here. Just to note, I'm going to call One Punch Man "OPM" and My Hero Academia as "BnHA" So, Seshi is not the first person to ask me why I rate BnHA so lowly. I admitted that 3 and 4 might be a little harsh for something that actually feels like it has heart poured into it, (and that I plan to change these ratings when I read/watch more of the show) but I still heavily prefer OPM over it. I find it interesting that these two are lumped together pretty frequently. Other than being action anime about hero organizations and ranks, I don't find them anything alike structurally. At their core, OPM is a meta-comedy with an overpowered main character that doesn't really get any stronger and BnHA is a battle shounen about progressively and constantly getting stronger. Anyways, the question I get a lot is "why did you enjoy OPM, but not BnHA?" Answering this question means explaining why I like anime to begin with. Compared to western shows and movies, (where I find the characters completely disconnected and shallow) I can relate to anime characters in the weirdest ways, and the more I slowly understand about a character, the more I can appreciate who they are. To give an example of this, Koyomi Araragi from the Monogatari series seems like a shallow character at first. However, as the series continues, more of his motivations and ideologies get revealed, which really made me admire his character and thought put into him. As for Deku, I felt like we knew everything about him from the beginning. He's kind of a timid kid who works hard because he wants to be like All Might. For the two seasons I watched, he's kept this same personality throughout both seasons, and it doesn't seem like he's going to change. I don't think this is necessarily bad writing, (many great works have no character development) but because of what I appreciate in anime, I don't like it when characters are shallow and unchanging. Conversely, I love when characters are deep or develop throughout the story, as it's showing that everyone can either change for the better, or is simply misunderstood. To move the topic onto OPM, I actually found Saitama's character to be more than "I'm bald man that kill in one hit". There are actually already videos explaining why Saitama is a representation of a depressed worker that feels nothing due to the harsh nature of the Japanese workplace, but I won't go into that in this blog post. Instead, I'm just going to mention that Saitama has an enthralling relationship with the other heroes, particularly Fubuki, Genos, and King. The dichotomy he plays with these other heroes is something unique and unlike most anime I've seen. The last thing I'd like to talk about here is the themes the two shows portray. From the first two seasons of BnHA, I found the theme to be "we shouldn't be afraid to follow in our predecessor's footsteps", especially in the second season with Todoroki. OPM, on the other hand, has a theme of "you should focus on improving yourself rather than comparing yourself to others", which is made apparent with characters like Genos and Glasses. I can appreciate both of these themes, but OPM's appeals more to me. I hope this a lesson that everybody takes to heart, as many people (including myself) don't feel confident because they're not as good as others' at doing something. I say screw that, be your own person. Are you a better person than you were yesterday? If so, then that's all you need. That's all for this post. Have any thoughts, questions, suggestions on this post or the next? Feel free to let me know, since I love talking and listening to others about anime. Don't be afraid to say something controversial, if it's what you truly believe.

I’m trying to find a anime show my buddy was watching in 2013. I can’t find it anywhere as I don’t know the name. I’ve googled shows etc and no luck. The show was about upper class men and under class men. It was mainly a female cast from I recall with male characters as well. The scene I remember is upper class men picking on an underclass men in a fight scene. It looked as if they were in a school basement arena of some sort. The upperclassmen were fighting one underclassmen and calling her by that name. In the scene her clothes were torn off from an attack a bit and when she was huddled down she unlocked some secret potential she had and became a great fighter I think. They were all shocked and it looked like a good anime with the fight scene and what not. Take in mind I saw this in 2013 on his laptop and he had it downloaded to his hard drive so I can’t tell you how old it really is but if anyone can spout out titles or guesses at what they think it may be it will be greatly appreciated. Also this anime was dubbed so if that helps at all.

Blizzard has apparently (re)released the original, 1996 version of Diablo. Via GOG of all places. For anyone not familiar with GOG (Good Old Games), they're a place to (legally) purchase unrestricted games. None of the games on GOG have DRM or require "activation" or online connection to a mothership or any of that sort of nonsense to play. You buy it, you download it, and you play it. "You bought it, you own it" is their motto. Anyone who's familiar with Blizzard, on the other hand, knows they don't do non-DRM. (Diablo is, currently, the only Blizzard title on GOG.) Ok, so 1996 was a while ago. This is no doubt a last-gasp attempt to get some money from the title. Still, to me it seems quite odd to see a Blizzard title on GOG.. https://www.gog.com/game/diablo (also https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/03/original-diablo-is-now-on-sale-for-10-drm-free-but-not-on-blizzards-app/ )

Released in 2007, the NDS game spin-off of D.Gray-man retells Allen’s first missions after joining the Black Order. Anti-Akuma weapon (the DS Stylus) in-hand, control Allen and your choice of partner through a series of puzzles and battles, following from Mater to Krory’s Castle. The final chapter of the game features a non-canonical story set in Cagliostro, with three possible endings. Oozing in nostalgia with some unexpected appearances, this game is a fun play for new or old fans alike, and now thanks to the fan-translation patch, it's available in English for the first time! The translation is fully playable, and an accompanying walkthrough has also been written. You can find all the info and download on my blog. Hope you enjoy!

It was bloody so it wasn’t suitable for small children. please help, I cant find anything on Google

Zatch Bell doesn't get mentioned much, and not many people actually seem to remember it. I personally never cared for Zatch Bell. The reason is because of how over the top it is, and the main character (Zatch) is pretty annoying, and there's also a lot of annoying characters in it too. Also the anime just has too much humor in it, since the humor ruins many moments that are supposed to be serious.

Okay, so I know this is a pretty broad question, but have you ever watched an anime that managed to just really piss you off? Like was the ending really bad or confusing? Did something about the show seem really cryptic to you? Was there a question that was never answered that really stuck with you? For me, it definitely has to be: Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt! Don't get me wrong, I freaking love that series . . . but did anything seem weird to you? The final showdown between the angels and demons? The way Panty kinda left after being shunned as an angel . . . or could it possibly have been . . . HOW STOCKING MANAGED TO CHOP HER SISTER INTO A MILLION TINY PIECES AND THEN FUCKING REVEAL THAT SHE WAS A DEMON?!?! Seriously, who the hell writes this crap?! You can't just end the series like that, leaving it open for a new season and it never comes! WTF?! That left me thinking about it for months? Stocking . . . a samurai angel . . . who helped Panty, a gunslinging angel . . . defeat Satan and the devil sisters . . . TURNS OUT TO BE A FUCKING DEMON?! smh . . .

SO, SSSS.Gridman just finished. Thoughts? And if you haven't seen it by chance.... do that. (Ah and be wary of spoilers past this point. You don't want this spoiled.)

Just started the Netflix series, Castlevania and I have to say I'm pretty hooked. I'm really picky when it comes to American anime and most I don't care for because they are down right boring as heck. I finally reached season two, episode 5 last night. The only real issue for me on the series is the fact that the seasons are so dang short. Season one literally only has 4 episodes, ugh. So does anyone else watch the series? What do you think of it?

Voltron Legendary Defender Ending
Yanushi-Chan posted a blog entry in The Inner Mind of a Fujoshi Otaku
Okay, I am so behind on Voltron: Legendary Defenders. However, I was cursed with a spoiler which I thought was fan-made. Apparently. . . SPOILER WARNING IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE SERIES To wrap up the series, I guess . . . Allura changed the Quintessence in Haggar's (or Honerva's, which ever have you) vessel in order to change it into a life-giving force to restore what has been done. Allura, realizing the risks, says her final farewells to the Paladins. As she says farewell to her team . . . she does what I didn't expect . . . SHE . . . FUCKING . . . KISSES . . . .LANCE FUCKING MCCLAIN!!!! The playboy! The womanizer! The freaking goofball . . . the literal asshole of the bunch!!! (Granted I still love Lance with all my heart because he is one of my Voltron babies!!!) Ladies and Gentleman, this winner of the VLD Shipping Race is . . . . Lance x Allura Ask me who triggered I am . . . go ahead, I don't mind . . . . Because readers . . . I AM FUCKING LIVID AS HELL!!! Welp! There goes all my ships . . . but being a fujoshi . . . there was no way I was going to get that satisfaction. I mean the Fujoshi community has already been blessed with Yuri on Ice, Banana Fish, Yarichin Club, Kiss Him, Not Me (I really like that series, it literally depicts my life), Dakaretai Otoko Ichii, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi, Junjou Romantica . . . we've got a lot of goodness. With that being said. I shall graciously degrade myself You have won this time, Lance x Allura . . . I submit to your canonical existence. but Klance and Sheith shall never die! Yanushi Fujoshi, Out! -

Episode 1 reactions: SMALL CHILD KURITO WHAT THE HELL?!?! What is going on, this isn't the past I know. Is this reality or just fantasy? Like wtf is going on. Kirito freaking dies and it just cuts off. I honestly wonder how they are gonna explain how he survives a Death Gun to the heart Episode 2: Kirito wakes up in a forest and is more selfaware. I was a bit confused as to how come Eugeo recalls all that happened as if Kirito wasn't there. That bugged the hell outta Kirito and me geeeze.. Is this like a virutal world or what cuz how does Eugeo not know what logging out means. What is really confusing is how does Kirito not remember ANYTHING about him "dying" or what or who Eugen and Alice are. SO FAR ITS NOTHING BUT CONFUSION AGHHHHHHHH

The show staff have OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED that LELOUCH IS DEAD. They have been repeating this for 10 years. This was confirmed in interviews, live commentaries, tweets, the official guide book, the new epilogue they made (2009), and the sequel's name is even "Lelouch of the Resurrection". (Mind you, the sequel is a single movie and not a season, and it's part of the recent movies' alternate universe, but Lelouch's fate is identical in R2 and the movies!) There's a Code Geass community database on reddit which gathered all the information we have, all the official statements, etc, and then goes over the code theories' points and shows how they are contradicted by the anime itself. The anime itself makes it impossible for Lelouch to have the code. It's a long post, but any Code Geass fan will want to read it. As an example, here is an excerpt from "Geass Memories", a series of tweets made at the 10 year Code Geass anniversary which talked about how they made the anime 10 years earlier: - "Before I started writing the story of a person called Lelouch, I confirmed with Taniguchi-director something. That thing was that THE END OF LELOUCH WILL BE DEATH." - "At least he is aware of his sins and pays for them with HIS DEATH." - "This man called Lelouch will pay for his sins by HIS DEATH. The story follows him till he finally make this decision." - "Probably this Lelouch we see in the first episode of the series wouldn't CHOOSE DEATH. He would try something to avoid it. He couldn't DIE, for Nunnally as well. But we see him changed in the last episode." Official source Screenshot Translation Another example, this one from the official guide book which clarifies the Zero Requiem: - "For those two who bear the heavy sin known as killing their fathers, they share the belief that they can forgive each other by imposing the greatest punishments on themselves. Death for Lelouch who wishes for a tomorrow with his sister, life for Suzaku who wishes to atone for his sins through death." Picture of that page in the guide book Many many many more can be found in the Code Geass community database.
