I used to watch action and adventure anime like One Piece, Naruto, Black Clover, etc. But one day, I randomly started watching romcom and slice-of-life anime… and ever since then, as a 27-year-old guy living kind of a loner life, I’ve felt this weird depression for no clear reason. Has anyone else experienced this sudden emotional shift from watching those types of anime? It’s like they hit differently — especially when you start relating to the characters or their peaceful lives. Just wondering if it’s normal or if anyone else has gone through the same thing.

5 years in and never made an introduction thread, better late than never!? Here's what you should know about me before you enter the jungle: I have a bombastically unfiltered persona and my IRL piers tell me that's both a blessing and an annoyance to others cause I tend to drown out the room with my loud impacting rush of words without knowing when to pull the breaks. These past 5 years have made me feel like I belong here and the community has been always respectful warm welcoming to me in other threads despite me being a yandere. Thought I"d get pushed to the side and treated as an outsider but nope, I've in fact had people come up to my DMS telling me how they enjoy my can do energy even though I myself see me as a ball of negativity.

While web searches of course turn up titles of anime that involve soccer, I am specifically interested in one that could be considered similar in style to the anime of Haikyuu, and Rising Impact, the live action movie Shaolin Soccer, and the NES game Tecmo World Cup Soccer. Hello! I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but I wanted to share the stuff I’ve been doing in my absence. After some grief and anxiety, I spent a lot of this past semester working on an original universe. It’s become a labor of love and the characters are all my precious babies, lol. I’m going to share some short stories involving OCs from a larger plot (one I’m not quite confident enough to publicize yet) and I’ll try to list them in as chronological an order as possible. I’m going into this fully expecting not many people to read them, but even if you could take a glance over one or two, I’d appreciate it! Also, I don't know why everything I wrote is bolded here, this happened last time and I couldn't fix it ;o; Winter Tales at the Tavern - Stern elven Colonel Vaeril Alvensheim falls victim to his poor ability to handle alcohol. This results in humorous and warm moments shared under the winter moon. In the company of his friend, a whimsical shopkeeper called Lianthorn, Vaeril laments the peculiar circumstances of his home life and potential romantic interest, Nimiel. Ceramic Hearts - After accidentally breaking a beloved trinket of Nimiel’s, Vaeril–ever the tsundere–brings her to Lianthorn’s shop to find a replacement while grumbling all the while about this and that without much direction. Short, sweet and sappy. Haemir- A dive into our beloved Colonel’s backstory paired with that same cozy tavern as before. A bit heavier in terms of angst, but has a happy ending. TW for death. A Toast to Tomorrow- This one dives into Lianthorn’s backstory, which is equally as tragic and I think quite Frieren-esque (though I myself have never seen that anime and just know it from instagram posts, lol). Opens up the overall narrative’s shift towards Lianthorn and his journey to finding love. Another TW will be issued for mentioned death. A Fated Meeting - Dahlia pt. 1- I have two favorites, and this is part 1. Dahlia, a human woman lost in grief and seeking some kind of spell to resurrect her late father, ventures into elven territory to find a certain cursed staff. She’s willing to sacrifice anything for a chance to see him again–even her own safety. Lianthorn arrives in the nick of time to save her, and what follows is something I can only describe as soul-cleansing (at least to me as a writer, heheh). It was SO comforting and healing to write this one, I just love the amount of sappiness and fluff and I can’t get enough of these two! Winter Woes and Wonders - Dahlia pt. 2- Part 2 of the super-duper-fluffy-wuffy wholesome fest that is Lianthorn and Dahlia’s budding relationship. If you choose to read any of these, I’d like it to be these two. Adult themes are briefly glanced over, but the scene is written as a fade to black, so there’s no inappropriate content. I am currently working on part three. Also, a little FYI– I’ve been using stable diffusion to illustrate these stories. Please, try not to crucify me for the AI thing; I know it can be shady if used wrong, but I’m only using it for this purpose, not to sell or pass off as my own drawings. I don’t need a lecture. This has helped my mental health immensely and I’m not interested in being attacked for it. I’m also not looking for advice or constructive criticism. Sorry to be that person, but I’m happy with my stuff the way it is, y’know? Unwanted criticism just hurts, lol. Anyway! That’s about it. I’ll try to be more active here if I can. Since finals season is over, I have more time. I’ve been kinda down so having some more friends to share stuff with would be really nice! I want to know if there is any Slice of life anime where the MC breaks down/snaps at any point. It can have magic but no Sci-fi or High-Fantasy.

The story seems so relatable with very few minor differentiators. A group of three friends- Gojo, Geto and Shoko. Gojo is looney just like Naruto. Geto turns heel like Sasuke. Shoko is literally the Doctor just like Sakura. They have a teacher who later becomes the principal just like Kakashi became the Hokage. You can even relate it with the 3 saanin. Just like Naruto had Nine tails inside him, similarly Yuji has Sukuna. It is a good anime but one cannot leave aside the similarities from an anime which majority people have been following since childhood.

I'm really excited and can't wait! So who's also going to be watching One Piece?

[ Recommended listening: ark - L'Arc-en-Ciel ] So here's the job, really. You're in the office not by your own merit, but because a manager is gambling on any sort of win to recoup his losses. Within a year, you're the only one that stuck through all the disasters - even the guy who hired you has left. The turnover and promotions have already made you one of the more senior employees below management. The office is left at square one and desperately needs to be rebuilt. What do you do? Any decently rational person would see the writing on the wall and prepare their own departure. But for whatever reason, I've taken the Great Teacher Onizuka route. With the defiance of a Driver's High opening, I approached my former manager's manager with a sort of ultimatum: if you want me to be the foundation of this near empty office, we're throwing our old conventions out the window. Yes, I would still do the job on paper of running all your systems, but my own goal was to work with our new hires to be more genuine with their ideas and interactions. Strict professionalism, management should have learned, can be stifling. And though I may never have done such outrageous or inappropriate things as Onizuka, I have had my share of being called up to management offices regarding humorously-placed googly eyes, excessive amounts of birthday balloons and the hideous bronze walrus that become our office mascot, et cetera. But like Eikichi-san, I have seen these antics bring my people together. They all survived the disastrously high turnover rate of the past so far, and seem to be thriving. No Toyota Cresta's destroyed in the process. While I don't know what exactly the future may bring for me, here's to a decent anime that inspired me to write about my work, and a manga series I really should read! Hope to be around these parts a bit more often - see you all soon.

Okay. So. I love reincarnation styled isekai. Girl/guy gets hit by unexpected incoming lorry or bus etc...gets reincarnated. We've seen that being done several times over....BUT... what if the anime is from the driver's perspective. And he goes around accidentally sending random people off and narrowly avoids jail and eventually becomes notorious and ends up in jail in season 2. It would start of as slice of life and then slowly change genre as his life goes from peaceful to hell.

I just finished series and movie and I searched but couldn't get the exact answers I was looking for so please just tell me some things How did Mirai come back after dying? In the starting of second movie Mirai clearly had her memories at first but after meeting Akihito she lost it, why? Who is Kanbara Yayoi, how she knows everything and what is the actual relationship of her with Akihito? (we got a hint saying she is the gatekeeper and is ancient) And who are these three people at the end of Mirai-hen? (From the looks of it left one is Izumi but who are other two?)

Heeeheh~ I was kinda too nervous to post here, but! I tried cell-shading some chibis and it turned out ok, so why not? Brunette is my beloved OC Shizumoto Kaede and the white-haired bob-cut fellow an equally beloved canon villain from season 1 of Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, Kusatsu Kinshiro. I am a shameless OC insert kind of person and Kaede is one of my absolute favorites. Having someone so clumsy that she's basically a walking hazard as a hero is just In short, she's my baby lol. You'll probably be seeing more of her here in the future~ Please, if possible keep criticism to yourself; I'm happy with this the way it is and can't make changes to it now anyway.

The character portrayed by Matt Frewer on British television whose consciousness was transferred into an AI program following his fatal accident is possibly the most anime non-anime character ever. 1 - iKKM308.mp4

After seeing so much buzz about this anime around I decided to check it out for myself. It was very...different. I guess the thing that made the plot unusual is that there was nothing really unusual about it at all, which probably wouldn't cater to the tastes of everyone for that reason. More than being a 'slice-of-life' series, it's almost more like a 'day-in-the-life-of' type of show chronicling the everyday lives of a handful of high school students. One of the most unusual aspects of the otherwise very down-to-earth show is that Konata's teacher also happens to be a member of her online adventure party in a popular MMORPG; I can't say that I have ever heard of a real life anecdote where that this actually happened. From looking at some of the reviews on MAL, "Lucky Star" has received mixed reactions. I think it would be unfair to compare this to shows like "School Rumble" or "Arakawa Under the Bridge". Lucky Star was clearly not intended to be hysterically funny in the same sense that those other anime were intended to be. This isn't to say that it doesn't have funny moments...Konata ( short girl with blue hair ) is perceived to be lazy but is very manipulative and cunning while Kagami ( girl with pig tails ) is peevish and irritable - these two characters are the ones which largely drive the events. I noticed that there are frequent nods ( or homages ) to other manga and anime in the episodes, usually "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" ( haven't seen that one yet ). I was even surprised that one of the characters from the anime "Amagi Brilliant Park" makes a recurring cameo appearance in the background as a plushy toy. The names of some of the supporting characters in Lucky Star also seem to be intentional references to the anime/manga of "Taiho Shichauzo". My overall rating of the show is positive although I would have no idea how to rate this on a 1-10 scale. The only really negative things I have to say about the anime is that I feel that the opening theme song could have been better composed, there are other shows with worse opening themes though ( not even counting modern shows from North America ). I am a very savage critic when it comes to anything related to music...still, I think they could have put just 1% more effort into the opening song. The other thing that bothers me, is that these are all supposed to be high school students and Miyuki is about the only main character who can even pass for someone of middle school age. The other girls look so short and immature that they could all pass for grade schoolers. I like all of the characters, it's just something I cannot help noticing. In my honest opinion, I think the "Lucky Channel" segments at the very end of each episode before the credit roll are easily the funniest part of the show. Akira Kogami is always so cheery one moment and then she turns all bitter and angry the next. I didn't even realize that she was one of the main characters of another series until I read about it. A lot of the things stated about Akira's habits are oddly reminiscent of Krusty the Clown from the "Simpsons" - she doesn't look like him but she does sort of act like him. ( I have not seen any of the OVAs )

which non non biyori release did you like the most?

I've watched plenty of anime, but I've been looking around, and need some help finding some good anime with comedy and action...anyone got some ideas? or perhaps can help me out? I've been looking on some websites, and found some decent stuff, but nothing i'm interested in...like I said, perhaps you guys could help! Thanks!
