Voltron Legendary Defender Ending
Yanushi-Chan posted a blog entry in The Inner Mind of a Fujoshi Otaku
Okay, I am so behind on Voltron: Legendary Defenders. However, I was cursed with a spoiler which I thought was fan-made. Apparently. . . SPOILER WARNING IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE SERIES To wrap up the series, I guess . . . Allura changed the Quintessence in Haggar's (or Honerva's, which ever have you) vessel in order to change it into a life-giving force to restore what has been done. Allura, realizing the risks, says her final farewells to the Paladins. As she says farewell to her team . . . she does what I didn't expect . . . SHE . . . FUCKING . . . KISSES . . . .LANCE FUCKING MCCLAIN!!!! The playboy! The womanizer! The freaking goofball . . . the literal asshole of the bunch!!! (Granted I still love Lance with all my heart because he is one of my Voltron babies!!!) Ladies and Gentleman, this winner of the VLD Shipping Race is . . . . Lance x Allura Ask me who triggered I am . . . go ahead, I don't mind . . . . Because readers . . . I AM FUCKING LIVID AS HELL!!! Welp! There goes all my ships . . . but being a fujoshi . . . there was no way I was going to get that satisfaction. I mean the Fujoshi community has already been blessed with Yuri on Ice, Banana Fish, Yarichin Club, Kiss Him, Not Me (I really like that series, it literally depicts my life), Dakaretai Otoko Ichii, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi, Junjou Romantica . . . we've got a lot of goodness. With that being said. I shall graciously degrade myself You have won this time, Lance x Allura . . . I submit to your canonical existence. but Klance and Sheith shall never die! Yanushi Fujoshi, Out! -

The show staff have OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED that LELOUCH IS DEAD. They have been repeating this for 10 years. This was confirmed in interviews, live commentaries, tweets, the official guide book, the new epilogue they made (2009), and the sequel's name is even "Lelouch of the Resurrection". (Mind you, the sequel is a single movie and not a season, and it's part of the recent movies' alternate universe, but Lelouch's fate is identical in R2 and the movies!) There's a Code Geass community database on reddit which gathered all the information we have, all the official statements, etc, and then goes over the code theories' points and shows how they are contradicted by the anime itself. The anime itself makes it impossible for Lelouch to have the code. It's a long post, but any Code Geass fan will want to read it. As an example, here is an excerpt from "Geass Memories", a series of tweets made at the 10 year Code Geass anniversary which talked about how they made the anime 10 years earlier: - "Before I started writing the story of a person called Lelouch, I confirmed with Taniguchi-director something. That thing was that THE END OF LELOUCH WILL BE DEATH." - "At least he is aware of his sins and pays for them with HIS DEATH." - "This man called Lelouch will pay for his sins by HIS DEATH. The story follows him till he finally make this decision." - "Probably this Lelouch we see in the first episode of the series wouldn't CHOOSE DEATH. He would try something to avoid it. He couldn't DIE, for Nunnally as well. But we see him changed in the last episode." Official source Screenshot Translation Another example, this one from the official guide book which clarifies the Zero Requiem: - "For those two who bear the heavy sin known as killing their fathers, they share the belief that they can forgive each other by imposing the greatest punishments on themselves. Death for Lelouch who wishes for a tomorrow with his sister, life for Suzaku who wishes to atone for his sins through death." Picture of that page in the guide book Many many many more can be found in the Code Geass community database.

Really great LN I've been reading recently where the MC gets reborn 100 years later where several historical events have changed from the 1900s onwards. Simple things that Kouki does are always misunderstood by those around him which leads to a lot of great comedy. One of the things that really makes this one shine though is having events rewritten in someone else's perspective, so you can see what the others really think, and not just the MC's misguided view of what others around him thinks. Other than No Game No Life, I don't really think I've read an LN before that has caught my attention enough to actually get me motivated to finish it.
