Colu Posted June 10, 2025 Share Posted June 10, 2025 Fire is still listed as out of control and we’re on evacuation alert officially as of 11:30pm last night, but it hasn’t grown any larger than 5 hectares and crews are currently fighting it. Yesterday we had a couple of helicopters and waterbombers doing their thing (along with the ground crews). So far today there is 4 helicopters and a bunch of people on the ground. Fire has been determined to be human caused. And while I’m not surprised, I am definitely feeling a very intense anger in the very core of my being and it is absolutely justified. They started early this morning to try and control as much of it as possible before the wind picks up. The entire town is covered in smoke, I sincerely hope that the people responsible for the fire are choking on the smoke and suffering lung damage.
