I got locked in a Home Depot once for an hour if that counts, that's the only really strange thing I can think of that happened at this time.

Don't know if that's strange or not, but when I was working in quite a big medical institute, I saw the head of the whole institute only in the bathroom. Apparently we had the same 'go-schedule' but it was uncanny (😂) and kinda strange. It does change your perception of someone if you only see them in the bathroom 😂

A lady came up and hit me on the back of my head once as hard as she could because she thought I was her son. She was mortified when she found out I wasn't her son.

There is a guy that must look a lot like me in the U.S because while visiting I had several people in the city I was visiting come and ask me how my work was going, if I am still working at ____ place, how so-and-so is doing. It would take them a minute then realize I am not this person and apologize and walk off. Really want to meet this guy though because we must be identical twins.

This girl used to stalk me around when I was in school. Full on anime girl style stalk. You would turn around and she would just be lurking there. Creepy more than weird. She moved away (I think) or went on to stalk someone else.

  • 2 years later...

It never fails that I end up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'll overhear a secret or gossip and accidentally get in the middle when it's noticed and I get told to keep my mouth shut.

Twice I had to look like a desperate tattletale to save someone else the grief of a bully, becoming the bullies new target. Some kind of bad mojo.

  • 1 month later...

I guess I'm one of those extremely lucky people that the Pfizer vaccine decided to wreak havoc upon.

After a series of EKG's, CT with contrast, 48 hour Holter monitor, a radioactive Myocardial imaging treadmill; I've had my arm in a sling from a clot removal and feeling pretty nervous about everything. 😐

It's difficult to type with one arm but WOW, what an experience. The waiting is simply horrible. I've spent three months in a lot of pain, waiting for my primary to fit me in. A confusing night in the ER, as nurses were making sure I wasn't having heart issues, while running out of the room on Covid code Blue's. Now there's a spooky story for Halloween.

The weird part is that my primary tried really hard to convince me that my issues weren't vaccine related, before finally getting around to testing for side effects.

Even weirder, my CT technician kept flirting with me the whole time I thought I was dying. When I had to get the imaging disc results for my Cardio doctor the next day, I saw him on his way out for lunch. He waited in the parking lot to ask me out. I've never been more sick in my life but apparently it's attractive to someone. Huge yikes!

What an unlucky few months it's been. 😐

@Zila geez, hope you feel better. I got the jab in August & was lucky enough to just have a sore shoulder a couple days. Waited so long because I have a bad record with side effects as well, the worst probably being when I took Cipro & the whole left side of my body went numb (not paralyzed, more of a novocaine feeling).  Not my weirdest story though.

Shortly after I moved to my current house after my dad died my mom was staying with me. I came home from work to have lunch with her & saw a strange car in my driveway & a couple police cars parked out front. After the initial feel of panic, I asked the police what was happening. They said they noticed the driver acting “suspicious” on the highway & followed them. When the car pulled onto my street & into my driveway, they parked across the street to observe. When they didn’t get out of the car after several minutes they went to question them. They said they were meeting someone who bought a stereo off Craigslist from them. Looking into it, the driver’s license was susoended & they found stolen property in the vehicle. Fortunately mom was ok, actually at the back of the house & didn’t even know anything was going on 😂

Then earlier this year, I got home from work & as I was unlocking the door, a strange car followed by the police pulled into my driveway. Seeing me give the guys in the other car a WTF? look, the police officer asked if I knew who they were. I said “Nope”, ducked inside the house & locked the door. Two more police cars arrived & they were in my driveway for an hour & a half. Later learned the car had been reported as stolen & they found drugs in the car. I’m seriously thinking I need to get rid of my Welcome mat 🤣

@Ohayotaku Oh wow, that must have been frightening! 😱 Hope you never have anything like that again.

My sister had mild Myocarditis that was treated with ibuprofen. Now I'm a little nervous about the booster. I'm not sure if I should get it.

I'll say! 😆 That was the best laugh this morning.

I haven't had anything too strange happen in the last two years. Just playing it safe due to everything currently going on.

Recently I noticed that when I went to comic/ etc. events, people usually wanted to take pictures with me. Half the time I'm not cosplaying anything at all. I guess it's just my style? I remember my brother telling me to just go along with it once. The most awkward picture was with two women that were twins, dressed as Wonder Woman. I was between them, they were squishing the life out of me. My brother just gives me a thumbs up and takes our picture. 😆

Second time, I actually did a cosplay of Isabella Yamamoto from Paradise Kiss. I wore these heels that gave me a few inches. Some point after lunch, I went to a restroom to touch up my makeup but it was packed in there. So I picked a stall and used a compact mirror I had instead. I just didn't realize that I was facing the toilet the whole time. When I came out, a few ladies were looking and I heard someone say "that's a really pretty guy". 🤣

🤣🤣🤣
I don't really like my appearance when I think about it. I'm aging and pretty darn tired. There's probably only two or three times out of the year that I actually try to join society in something. Other than that it's the same hoodie I've had for the last four years. There's some really talented makeup artists I'll try to follow for a costume I'm really excited about. Otherwise I'm just:

As for strange things that happen, my neighbor likes to keep her bathroom curtains open at night. I'm not sure why. 😆 There's been a few times where I assume she thinks I'm talking to her when I'm letting my dogs out for the last time before bed. I don't really look that way to make sure she isn't in the bathroom. So I'll tell my dog/s to hurry up and poo, especially when it's freezing out. Then I hear mumbling and realize my neighbor is on the toilet. 😆

When I was younger I could pull off Dwight Schrute, now I’m more George Costanza 😂

OK, strange story: one morning I woke up with my ring finger curled under & the joint locked up where I couldn’t straighten it. As the day went on, it loosened up where I could move it, but would get a jolt of pain if I put too much pressure on it. This happened every morning for 6 months to a year. Don’t remember injuring or straining it. Wondered if maybe I was sleeping with that hand under the pillow. Doctor seemed to think it was just arthritis. Don’t know exactly how long it went on because one day I started to tell someone about it & realized that it hadn’t for awhile. Still have no clue why it started or stopped

Whoa there! My doctor told me to keep the enthusiasm at a minimum for the next few days. 😚 Ah, AF always ends up being the best medicine. 😆 I get nervous that the locals who cheer me up will stop coming here one day though.

Phantom pains/issues are a little spooky. Next thing you know they're telling you it's age and give you some icy-hot, like there's nothing more they can do for you. 😆 Then poof, gone. Yeah, it could be a number of things. In med school, I learned that the body does some strange things when it wants to. Like bruising the muscles around your ribs after a good sneeze. Which supposedly feels like you've broken them. 😬

That or your ring finger had decided to retaliate against all your other fingers. 🤔
