Details please (you can always hide them in a spoiler tag). Was it actually based on a book or is this something they made new?

It was based on events told in one of the books (I think the Silmarillion?), although it was a bit too long in my opinion, some scenes could've been shorter since they felt artificially extended, the parts that were cool were absolutely a blast. I'd rate it a 7.7/10

Yeah, there's a lot of that in LOTR. I mean Gandalf knows eagles. They couldn't have just flown the ring to the volcano?

They could've, but Gandalf didn't own the eagles, they were their own players in the world and weren't necessarily willing to go into evil land for an old man they get along with

Well I guess they could have, but they would have been rather obvious and easy to see and would be easy targets for the Nazgul and for the last few miles they would have to fly into enemy airspace where they would have faced continuous airborne attack from the Nazgul and ground based attack from the Orc armies. The Hobbits and the Ring would have been captured the second the eagles landed.

We went from MAPPA over doing it and never giving their team a break, to announcing a second season of a well-received anime that will likely only contain 12 episodes again 13 months in advance. A release window of January 2026, which in my opinion is borderline unacceptable for fans of this series.

About damm time

some people may not be happy about Disney picking up the licensing deal, but given that they’re older series with a lot of nostalgia it kinda makes sense to me

I’ll say it again:  ABOUT DAMM TIME

An article on ANN says the Zombie Land Saga movie will finally happen this year. I’d pretty much written it off as a lost cause.
