OtterNmyWater
What is the best place to search for out of print anime DVDs? I would guess something like eBay, but are there are other places I could look that might be worth checking out?

Beocat
Local used bookstores and anime conventions. Most of what is on ebay is pirated. You could always wait for a rerelease as well. Happens a lot these days.
Illusion of Terra
Don't know if you guys have that, but maybe something like a retro convention. It works quite well in the case of retro gaming conventions, when you're looking for old videogames that are no longer produced. Maybe there's something like a retro anime convention? If we are talking online I usually look at sites which sell used things, but not like ebay on a seller to buyer level, but with some kind of business in-between that checks for things like if they are genuine etc (a bit more pricey in the end but usually worth it).
