Hello everyone,

I'm working on a research project focused on the role that setting plays in the consumption and spread of anime. To further this, I have a series of questions for those who have seen Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away and Makoto Shinkai's Your Name. The questions are as follow. Thank you for your time.

1) What is your nationality/country of origin?

2) What country do you currently live in?

3) How old were you when you watched Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (Spirited Away)?

4) How old were you when you watched Kimi no na wa. (Your Name.)?

 5) Which film sounded more interesting, compelling, or exciting to you before you watched it?

6) While watching the films, which one was able to hold your attention and keep you caring about the storyline, the world the characters inhabited, or the premise?

7) After you finished the films, which one did a better job of keeping you invested in the story, world, or premise?

8) Which aspects of the films played the biggest role in your answers to questions 5-7?

9) Which film do you like better personally, and why? Is there a certain aspect or element that one film possesses over the other that makes you enjoy it or like it more?
