Seshi
Hello everyone, so I just got a whole bunch of strawberries. I was going to make strawberry shortcake but ended up wanting to try new recipes. What are some of your favorite strawberry recipes? I need to not waste these berries

RuthisianCodex
Have you ever tried canning fruit or making your own jams/jellies? I haven't but I'd like to give it a shot.

RuthisianCodex
I want to start making my own jams & fruit spreads. A local market here once sold something called Drunken Peach jam & oh my goodness, that stuff was heaven! Sadly, I can't find it anywhere anymore. Beocat
@RuthisianCodex it's quite simple really. It just takes a lot of preparation and a bit of time. Jams and preserves are the easiest. Pickles take some time but are worth it too. If I were you, I'd ask around for the recipe for those drunken peaches. Someone has to know it. That said, start with something easy to do and hard to mess up. Once you have a good solid understanding of the undertaking, then start on more complex recipes.
RuthisianCodex
@Beocat I know I need a good quality bourbon for it for starters.
