I have had Tinnitus for almost three weeks now, Have you had or have Tinnitus, For how long have you had it for? How do you sleep at night, and what do you do to distract yourself?

@TripleZeta Nah, I don't get that. Sounds painful and annoying. I can't imagine!

My friend has it though. It keeps him up most nights. It doesn't help that he has insomnia. I'm not sure how he distracts himself, but he's told me he sleeps about 4 or 5hours a day... I kinda feel for him. Glad I'm not in his shoes.

I have constant tinnitus in my right ear for over 10 years now. It’s gotten to the point where it’s pretty much just background noise & I barely notice it.  Sometimes it’s caused by  damage from loud noises, but sometimes it just water or wax buildup. Also allergies or sinus infections. Even dental problems. In my case it’s part of Meniere’s Disease which also causes severe dizzy spells (vertigo). Thankfully I only get those once or twice a year usually. You may want to see an  ENT specialist to see if it’s something can be fixed with a simple cleaning.

I am pretty much with Ohiotaku on this one. I've had it for most my life the origin being surgery. Seeing an ENT is a good idea. Not to say it means you have something serious but it helps to ease your mind. With everything going on right now if you have a hard time getting to a specialist there are some tips to help. A lot of times there's triggers that make it worse and its different for everyone. try to pay attention to whats going on at the times it seems to be worse. It may take a while I think I got it narrowed down for mine is too much stress and sweets. The biggest offender though baring a medical issue is lack of sleep. Its hit or miss but to help sleep have some background noise that doesn't wake you up going. Can be a fan/AC, TV, or a "white noise" hope that helps!
