God Gohan Posted September 26, 2015 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Ishida’s Root A storyboard drafts are so fun to read but they’re so confusing too because of the mix between the manga canon and the anime. Some snippets: Kaneki still keeps in contact with Tsukiyama, Banjou and gang, and Hinami. Somehow the Ghoul Restaurant is still involved, where Suzuya fights Tsukiyama and calls his kagune “poop kagune”. Aogiri goes to get information from the nurse (Taguchi) about Kanou’s lab. Kaneki tells her he doesn’t want to kill her, and she gives him the information in fear. He lets her go… but Tatara then kills her… …and makes Kaneki eat her corpse. Kaneki goes into Kanou’s underground lab with Ayato, Naki, and Tsukiyama. Shinohara, Amon, Akira, and Suzuya head there as well (following their research about Kanou). Suzuya and Tsukiyama fight again, and Suzuya identifies him as “poop kagune”. (HAHAHA POOR TSUKIYAMA LOOKS OUTRAGED.) Kaneki finds Rize and speaks with Kanou, almost as per the manga. Yomo busts Rize out. Kanou joins Aogiri. Tatara plans to attack Kokuria. As they walk away discussing this plan, Ayato tells Kaneki about Shachi and his surname Kamishiro. Rize is kept in Anteiku’s basement, and it is Touka who sees Rize in her starved state. Kaneki heads back to his Ward 6 home, where Hinami happily greets him. There is a shower scene. Kaneki and Hinami spend time together, and after Hinami falls asleep Kaneki speaks with Banjou about the Kokuria attack. Banjou asks Kaneki if he is still serious about what he wants to do.
