This is for general discussion of Photoshop!

To start it off..

Today I scanned this nice pose of Uzume Tennouboshi and adult Neptune from my newly arrived Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II calendar..

But the colours looked a bit neutral to my liking, so time to do some colour correction.

Normally I use Adobe Fireworks but I keep telling myself I need to use Photoshop more since they're no longer actively developing Fireworks.. so opened Photoshop up and found a nice feature in Images -> Adjustments -> Selective Color.

Tweaked the reds, magentas and blacks to try and make it look more vibrant.

Here's the end result:

I think it's a nice improvement! Thought it might be helpful to know.

I can't reveal my tricks... :hot:

Jk, I'm not very good with PS. I struggle with making backgrounds, so tutorials on that would be appreciated. ^_^

Anyone know where to buy a good brush set for backgrounds? The default set is not that good. :'(

I can tell you some resources where you can find cool stuff for free :)

I suck at using photoshop, so many buttons and options... I currently use Gimp, its like photoshop but with less stuff, it gets the job done. Try giving it a try if you havent, its free.

You don't have to use all tools and it's not so difficult, just be more patient :)
