Clayton
So let's name some main characters in an anime who died and stayed dead the first time. No comas. No "We thought you were dead and you came back". No clones. No ghosts. No reincarnation. No characters who were dead when they showed up. And they have to appear in at least three episodes. Way too many people come back from the dead in anime. It's like Death has a revolving door and it really harms the emotional impact of anyone's death. "Oh my god, you killed Leomon! You bastards!" Some series the very first thing they do is kill the main character. And no, you can't pick Deathnote. I just did. Ha! lso L came back a the end there... dang it... Having looked through my anime list I can only think of three main characters who died and stayed dead. Kaori Miyazono: Your Lie in April. Sakura Yamauchi: I Want To Eat Your Pancreas. Roy Focker: Macross TV. There's probably a few more from series I haven't watched.
Clayton
Well as a general rule a lot of people's parents die shortly after having children in anime. But we often don't get to meet them first.
