Soccer Anime

While web searches of course turn up titles of anime that involve soccer, I am specifically interested in one that could be considered similar in style to the anime of Haikyuu, and Rising Impact, the live action movie Shaolin Soccer, and the NES game Tecmo World Cup Soccer.

My thanks to anyone who offers assistance.

I found one: it's called BLUE LOCK. The anime has been going since 2022 and Season 2, which is coming in October 2024, is called BLUE LOCK vs. 0-20 Japan.

I was more than less counting on someone's knowledge being greater than my own, and so simply being able to relate an example to me from their own experiences.

After some research on the suggestion I discovered the title is even on NetFlix in select countries.
This means there is a large likely-hood that it will eventually be available on NetFlix for me.

As a happy coincidence, while I believe unknown to @Digimon_Sommelier,
I have specifically mentioned elsewhere in this forum that for many reasons NetFlix is my primary source for watching Anime.

So, this means that this suggestion is functionally the perfect title to recommend to me.

At that, I have pre-emptively marked it as the best answer to this post.

A wholly soccer themed anime, so that the characters, abilities, rivals, etc... would be the focus of plot development throughout.

So thank you for providing the link you found to the list of several titles for me to investigate further.

I doubt its coincidence that #1 on that list is Blue Lock, and as an aside; I have no idea who that character is, but apart from age, his likeness to Killua is nearly identical.
