This is a tough one. I'm not the biggest movie fan but here are a few I really enjoy.

Lord of the rings

Star Wars

Expendables

Transporter

I watch a lot of anime so I don't catch many movies these days anymore. xD

I loved deadpool because it was true to the character who I love and the action scenes were very violent as well as hilarious. Deadpool is my favorite movie.

I love Shoot 'Em Up. A lot of people were bothered by how over-the-top it was, but that's exactly how I love my action movies. I love that it went out of its way to make the action scenes look as exaggerated as possible. It was like Looney Tunes in live action. Awesome.

XXX (not porn...) was a lot of fun too. It was so edgy, but at the same time, I felt like it was a necessary amount of edgy at a time when the James Bond movies were becoming stale (this movie was released just a few months before that atrocity, Die Another Day, after all). I think it reminded people the darker elements of the criminal world that Bond movies had forgotten at the time (or rather, elements that had never been explored at all from the beginning, aside from License to Kill), and just how nasty and dangerous the business of killing people for a living was.

Of course, Casino Royale, an action thriller I love much more than Triple-X, perfected that balance between escapist fantasy and gritty danger. It remains my favorite Bond movie to date, just before Skyfall.
