Ohayotaku
Watched the first 4 episodes of Astro Note & found it surprisingly enjoyable. The oddball cast of characters remind me of Rumiko Takahashi’s old-school romcoms. I find it particularly funny that the alien poodle has the same voice as Sukuna (JJK) And then there’s the dad who always wears a suit despite being unemployed & the violent idol singer wannabe Edited May 11 by Ohayotaku

(Not that that's a bad thing. I'll probably finish it.)

Not quite done with all 3 yet but I can already tell this one will go on the end of season to-be-watched list. I just realized... I knew I'd seen Tinasha somewhere before. She's Yumiella a few hundred years later.
Animedragon
I've finished watching my Blu-ray disks of A Place Further Than The Universe. This is a simply stunningly amazing series with a wonderful storyline, beautiful artwork and a cast of interesting and believable characters. It's not the first time I've seen this series, it's my third if anyone is counting, but each time I watch it it gets better.

Ohayotaku
@efaardvark ah, Vysache from Shangri La Frontier, the most badass bunny since Usagi Yojimbo. Clan leader and mystic blacksmith (the singing while forging was very Tolkein-esque)

Animedragon
I've just finished rewatching Just Because. This is a nice little slice of life series. The story follows the relationships and interactions of a group of high school friends in their final term of school as they prepare to move on to the next stage of their lives. It's got an interesting and engaging story and excellent artwork and animation.
efaardvark
ループ7回目の悪役令嬢は元敵国で自由気ままな花嫁生活を満喫する* a.k.a 7th time loop Kind of a different take on the "groundhog day" idea of repeating life until you have the skills and the knowledge to take charge and do it right. The MC was good but the antagonist was a bit of a paper target and the show wobbles a bit in the last few episodes. It never completely leaves the rails however and in the end I thought it worth the watch. (*What is it with the long-ash anime titles?)
Sakura
I am still rewatching Fairy Tail, all the way up to the Tartaros Arc now, but also started watching Black Clover season 1.
Animedragon
I've finished rewatching Aquatope on White Sand. This is a wonderful Slice of Life series about two girls who work in an aquarium. The artwork and animation is excellent, especially the fish and other aquatic animals. The two girls and their friends are believable characters each with their own personalities. The series has a great story and some beautiful background music. This is definitely an overlooked and under appreciated anime.

Animedragon
I watched an unusual anime the other day, it's called Girls' Last Tour. It takes place in a world where almost the entire population has been wiped out following some unexplained apocalypse and and follows the adventures of two young girls as they journey through the ruins of civilisation in their trusty Kettenkrad, which is a rather neat half-track motorcycle built by the Germans in WW II. The city they are exploring has many different levels and as they find strange places, some of which are derelict and decaying others are still functioning and have a high level of technology. There's not much in the way of storyline and each episode consists of two or three incidents which are only connected with each other by the fact that they are events along the way in the girl's journey. As befits an abandoned city, the background artwork is drab and dull, and even dark in some places, but it conveys the atmosphere of a decaying city very well. The background music is excellent has a haunting style that fits the visuals perfectly. It would be easy to give up on this series after a couple of episodes, but in doing so you'd miss out on a series that is both unique and intriguing. 1

Stands out as being a rather unique niche. As stated, overall enjoyable but a bit gloomy to be one of my go-to relax/destress/recover series That would be Yuru Camp. Recently finished season 3. The new “softer” character designs took some getting used to & I don’t feel like the nature scenes meshed as well, but remains charming. Amazing that I still want another season despite following it’s usual formula. But it gave some “B” characters some attention & mixed up the pairings to emphasize new dynamics (Rin/Ayano). And even introduced a couple potential newcomers. Edited June 27 by Ohayotaku

I sort of got used to the slow pace after a couple of episodes and decided that it fitted the story better than a more hectic pace. I would have liked to know what all the strange stuff was, but then it occurred to me that a lot of would probably have been derelict before the girls were born and even if there were notices telling what the stuff was would the girls have even understood them. I think that not knowing added to the atmosphere of the series and the sense of what had been lost. It's definitely a series I'd like to watch again some time. Ohayotaku
Suicide Squad Isekai episodes 1-3 on Hulu. Actually found it pretty entertaining Knew going in it would be more about style & irreverence than substance & originality. Though I ‘m sure there will be some relevance to Harley & the princess being lookalikes Clayface is the the character they modified the most to fit an anime personality & is my fave. Biggest criticism is the animation was actually pretty janky a lot of times (surprising since WIT is supposed to be handling it). I think James Gunn’s 2021 Suicide Squad movie is a pretty good litmus test for whether you’ll enjoy it ( not a direct sequel or anything though)
