What anime are you watching now?

I re-watched the first season of MF Ghost, then watched the second season. It's a good series if you like motor sport based anime, the racing scenes are certainly exciting to watch. There also seems to be a story appearing between the racing scenes. One good thing I noticed is that there seems to be slightly less fan-service in the second season, which is good. The final episode ends on a bit of a cliff-hanger, but the ending caption said "To be continued in season 3".

I've actually been curious about this show. Racing isn't even really my thing but it looked like it could be a decent watch. Would you recommend overall?

Car racing isn't really my thing either but I found it to be an enjoyable and entertaining watch and I'm looking forward to watching season 3. So yes I would recommend that you give it a watch.

Right now I'm watching Playthrough of a certain dude's VRMMO life. I saw a video of it on instagram, but I haven't seen too many people talk about it. The animation is really basic and the whole show has been done before, but its easy to watch so I like it. Sometimes anime's that are stereotypical and little bit boring are nice to watch.

I've been rewatching the first two seasons of Fire Force (back when seasons were 24 episodes instead of 12 split into two and three parts) and I've enjoyed it just as much the second time around. I forgot that the story was surprisingly involved and there were many things along the way that I had forgotten about. Highly recommend as a binge watch before season 3 comes out in April.

I'm not watching any anime right now. Digimon needs a new season. Quite a few seasons need English dubs that should air stateside.

Started watching the “final season” of Dr. Stone, though my understanding is that it’ll be next year before it concludes (3 split cours).

Speaking of doctors, I’m also enjoying Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective (only 3 eps so far)

I've just finished watching the first season of Fruits Basket and I'm not really sure what to make of it. The seemingly endless new characters that appear who change into so sort of anime got rather tedious and repetitive during the first half.  The series seems a bit uneven with some episodes being totally off the wall mad cartoon violence and some being very serious. I've almost hit the stop button a few times because the action was getting very silly and annoying, but I haven't, .... yet.

I'm now going to start the second season and see how it turns out.

Solo Leveling

Only interested in seeing Season 1, which I completed. Great for what it was, but not enough to make me want to watch Season 2. Just me personally.

I've finished watching Fruits Basket. It's certainly an interesting series, but I have to say that That I don't think I've ever seen a series where so many of the main and supporting characters have issues and traumas in their past. I also don't think I've seen a series where there are so many mean, annoying and downright nasty characters in the main and supporting cast.
I've seen it said that the series had a sad ending, but I didn't find it sad at all, in fact I thought it had a really good ending.

Watched the two SAO films- Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night and Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night. I'm not really a fan of this type of anime, but I found both films quite good. It was interesting to find out how Asuna became trapped in the game and watch her develop into an ace fighter.

I decided I wanted to watch a cute little romance anime in between all my hot-blooded shounen.  I was recommended Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague, and as the title might suggest, it's just so... chill.  It still has a base of some awkwardness (the characters are newbies in the work force), but it's handled very maturely.

Trying to wrap up 2024 by month’s end by focusing on series I put on hold or passed over earlier

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth has improved significantly since Rafal stopped being an active participant. Not an unlikable character, just a poorly written one whose motives never made any sense to me. The other characters are much more nuanced.

Delicious in Dungeon not sure if I’ll finish as it’s an absolute slog at this point for me & ridiculously over-hyped.

Girls Band Cry decently entertaining so far, but not liking the choice of CGI, especially since it really doesn’t match the more rebellious tone it’s trying to depict.

Debating whether or not to pick up Metallic Rouge again.

Don't. You're welcome. In all seriousness, I don't know if it was an Ergo-Proxy type where the information is there you just have to study it for hours on end to understand the subtle story progression, or if I'm just grade A stupid, but I didn't enjoy it, the ending did not satisfy, and I finished it just to see if it would pleasantly surprise me in the end... it did not.

Hit a dry spell after finishing my rewatch of Fire Force and Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions second season, so I picked up Tower of God and so far it's at least a little better than I expected.
