Random Orius question of the day: do you like wrestling?

This is a strange question!! :o

Seriously, no one ever asks me anything like this, hahaha. True answer is that it depends on who I'm with. I like watching wrestling if the people around me like watching wrestling, because I think it's hilarious to watch as a group. If I'm just by myself? I prefer the intensity and variety of MMA. xD

Do you happen to have a favorite MMA fighter then? What do you think of Ronda Rousey?

Ah! I don't watch it that much, tho! It's just an occasional thing. With that said, I love Ronda Rouse. She's my kind of fighter, hahaha.

What is something, other than Zoop, that people would have to pry from your cold, dead hands?

Everything. I don't like giving up ground in any area. I am ferocious whenever anything that I have is threatened. I don't like losing anything. I don't like it when my stuff is taken. If you want to take something from me, I'll fight you tooth and nail until it just isn't worth it anymore.

Look, I like my stuff, all of it. Taking my stuff is bad. The answer is no. lol

Hahaha, don't think less of me, but I've always preferred isolation exercises. Compound lifts require a level of skill to pull off that I have never quite been able to reach.

What about you, what's your pref?

This already exists, thanks to virtual machines and things like that. Your best bet is a good computer, Windows 10, and Parallels.

For a while I was doing mainly isolation exercises and doing compound lifts earlier in my gym sessions for strength, however, I recently learned that 12 sets once a week per muscle group isn't frequent enough to stimulate growth, so I've changed up my routine. This is actually my first time following a program because I've always liked to do my own thing. I've started Mark Rippetoe's 3x5 fullbody strength program which I've supplemented with 3x8 abs and will do that for four weeks before switching to full body muscular endurance/ power training, and go in cycles of four weeks. The 3x5 program has lot's of squats, overhead press, deadlifts, bench, rows and if I'm so inclined to learn how snatches, but that doesn't seem to me like it targets upper back enough, so I do rows. I'm unsure if the compound lifts work traps or rear delts enough, so I might supplement.

Would you rather hang out with the cool crowd or the friendly (but not as cool) crowd? Say that the friendly crowd is kinda boring, has interests that you don't share; would you join the cool elitists instead?

Would you rather hang out with the cool crowd or the friendly (but not as cool) crowd? Say that the friendly crowd is kinda boring, has interests that you don't share; would you join the cool elitists instead?

Okay, so like, throughout my entire life - NO ONE HAS EVER ASKED ME A QUESTION LIKE THIS! So, thank you! I mean, seriously, no one ever asks me a question like this, hahaha. (o^.^o)

Sadly, my answer is probably gonna seem a little boring.

Fuck the cool crowd! There is nothing to make me stay away from a group faster than if they're the self-declared cool crowd. I don't want to hang out with the cool crowd, I want to hang out with the "kinda boring" group that is friendly but with interests that I don't share. You know why? Simple. Because, I can learn about their interests, they can learn about mine, and that's how friendshipping works.

History time!

When I was younger, I could have hung out with the "cool crowd". I was always a popular af person when I went into a new setting, so the cooler people (you know what I mean when I say this - the people that think they're cool and work hard to be cool) were always trying to pull me into their spheres. I resisted.

The friends that I tended to have were the misfits. The wonks. The mad scientists. The hurting. The "damaged goods". The weirdos. The loners on the fringe were always the ones that I gravitated to, because despite how I looked/sounded, I had more in common with them. I didn't care about who was fucking whom and I didn't care about the "popular things".

I was always more interested in hearing about abstract physics, the intricacies of speed chess, how to read horoscopes. I was always up for a debate on religion where we could pick arbitrary sides; a discussion of the weirder sides of society; and a cool-headed look at various nsfw stuff that I can't mention here, hahaha.

Many times, the role that I served, socially, was actually to bridge the gap between the people that "weren't popular" and the people that were. I was an advocate on behalf of those that were too shy to speak up for themselves, and I liked to make sure that someone (me) was always hanging out with the goths that like to be alone in a corner.

That's the kind of person I am, I guess? I always prefer a group of misfits to a group of "cool" folks. :yum:

Think you got it in you for 50 questions?

These questions… Wow… Can I be real and honest? If so, then feel free to read. If not, then it’s best that you don’t. Fair warning, I think that some of this stuff is a hardcore buzzkill.

Also… Holy shit, these things got REALLY personal, REALLY fast. Okay, I’m game, lmfao.

1. What’s one thing that’s happened to you that has made you a stronger person?

My shitty childhood, actually. Having to grow up denying who I was, getting the shit kicked out of me constantly, and learning to get by on the minimum of life’s needs… It gives me an edge that I think can frighten normal people.

As a result of this, I can be a little bit of a monster. Emergencies don’t phase me. Intimidating people don’t phase me. Extremely challenging circumstances don’t phase me. In fact, I tend to literally grin in the face of danger.

2. What’s one thing that’s happened to you in your life that made you feel weak?

After college, I collapsed and developed a nasty case of repetitive stress injury. I spent the next two years sitting around, not doing much at all, because I could hardly use my fingers and hands.

Doctors couldn’t figure it out, and I didn’t really have the money/insurance for a specialist. Surgery was a possible option, but no money and even if I had the money, it would apparently only offer temporary relief from the agony before possibly coming back all over again.

I was ashamed because of the unemployment, the depression, and the fact that I was letting myself waste away - hardly eating and unable to sleep until I was completely exhausted, due to continuous pain. The shame resulted in me getting distance from almost everyone I knew.

I was unemployed. I was depressed. I was lonely. The only thing that kept me from killing myself was that I didn’t want to leave my younger without their oldest sibling. They kinda needed me to fill the shoes that were left empty when grandma developed alzheimer’s and our dad left.

So, obviously I lived through that and recovered. But, even today, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat and just stare into space until the sun rises again.

3. Where is one place you feel most like yourself?

Online and at home. Out and about, I can never really be myself because, to be frank, I’m way too weird. I guess I could find a place to hang out or something, but I’m an idiot when it comes to people, so I’d be afraid of fucking up with someone locally.

4. Where is your favorite place to escape to?

Oh dear. My favorite place to escape to is my own brain. I keep running stories, so I can just switch into a character, pick a place and time, and start telling myself a story. It’s how I comfort myself.

I used to spend days lying around, listening to music, daydreaming. It was actually super fun, since there are no limits on what you can do inside your imagination.

5. Who do you think has had the largest influence on the person you are today?

For better and for worse, my Mom had the largest influence on me. She homeschooled me and my siblings, was a single parent (with Grandma’s help), and generally steered me in a good direction. The only downfall? She was hyper-religious, and I’m ummm… Well, let’s just say that this didn’t mix well with me, hahahaha.

6. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I wouldn’t. The butterfly effect is a bitch. It may sound like I had a rough life, and that’s because I did. However, it was mine. I don’t really care to change anything that might alter this.

With that said, I still have lingering chronic pain. I’d fucking get rid of it. It’s not exactly positive for me.

7. If you had one day left to live, what would you do first?

Ummm, I would find @zoop and we would spend some quality time together.

8. What decade do you feel you most belong in?

One that’s far, far in the future. I am a person out of time and place. I really have never felt like I belonged in the present at all.

9. Who are you closest to in your family? Why?

My sister, I think. I can tell her anything. She’s always been there for me, always supported every crazy thing that I said, and she shares my morbid and nsfw sense of humor.

10. Who is the one person in this world that knows you best?

No one knows me better than Zoop. That’s not due to the fact that we’re married, either. Quite frankly, I married her because she solved the puzzle that is me. This isn’t something that most people can do, so I decided to keep her.

11. What is your favorite quality about your best friend?

Atm, I don’t have a best friend, so this is unfortunately non-applicable. I had a best friend. He turned out to like me for reasons that I couldn’t reciprocate. The burn-out torched my online circle of acquaintances, leaving me with a pile of ashes. I guess I’m still sore over this. #Emo

12. When you were younger what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

A paleontologist at first. Then, I realized that I would have to go out and dig in the dirt. Gross! Just gross! What do you mean dinosaur bones can’t be found in a mall? That’s bullshit!

I was a weird kid. :P

13. If you could identify with one fictional character (from a book, show, or movie) who would it be?

From a book, show, or movie? I’d identify with Sherlock Holmes as portrayed by Jeremy Brett. A bit of an asshole but with a heart of gold, a brain, and the willingness to put everything on the line for people that are in trouble. That’s kinda similar to me, I guess? Only, I think/hope that I’m much less arrogant.

14. Do you easily accept compliments? Or do you hate compliments?

I hate compliments. I have a weird hang-up about them. I never got any when I was growing up, and now, I kind of view them with suspicion, hahaha.

15. Is your favorite attribute about yourself physical or non-physical?

Non-Physical

16. What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?

I think I’m going to say my legs. They’re long, awkwardly shaped (sadly bowed), and a little disproportionate due to my thighs being silly large compared to my frame.

However! They’re worth it for the ability to move fast. I walk fast, can run absurdly fast, and generally like to move about. It’s just plain nice to have legs that are really decently flexible.

I guess that’s weird? Lol.

17. What is your favorite non-physical attribute about yourself?

I have a silver tongue. In person, I can probably convince anyone of anything, earn anyone’s trust, and get anything that I want. I use this power to… Do nothing, really, since I tend to like people as they are.

18. Do you believe in love at first sight?

Fuck yeah.

19. Do you believe in soul mates?

Fuck yeah.

20. How seriously do you take horoscopes?

Decently seriously. I mean, I know that science says horoscopes are baloney, and I’m a fairly logical creature. With that said, I also think that horoscopes exist for a reason and there are decent non-logical reasons for them to be taken seriously.

21. Have you ever been in love? How many times?

It depends? It realllly depends.

I can be romantic with guys and girls, but I’m actually a lesbian. Don’t think about it too hard and you’ll be able to live a long, happy life. Hahaha.

I’ve uhhh… I’ve probably overreached quite a few times. Hahahahaha. I fall in love a little easily (hundreds of times??!?!), tbh, but then I get bored and move on just as quickly. I’m one of *those* people. It says something about @zoop that I have never been bored for a single minute.

22. What makes you fall in love with someone?

I’m a shallow bitch, a very, very shallow bitch. However, I’m multi-dimensionally shallow. I can fall in love (actually lust) with someone just based on appearances. It usually wears off pretty fast.

However (multi-dimensional shallowness), the surest way to make me fall for someone is their writing. Any writing that is particularly well developed will make me feel a weird tingling in my stomach.

Basically, around the time I met @zoop, I was really shopping around for the most amazing emotional writing that I could find. She could just casually put stuff out there, and well, I got addicted. We wrote to each other like classic Victorian era lovers, hahaha.

23. What does vulnerability mean to you? What has the ability to make you vulnerable?

Vulnerability is when people can hurt you. That’s what it means to me.

Almost nothing has the ability to make me vulnerable. I keep shields up at all time, despite being really ridiculously open.

24. What’s one thing you’re scared to ask a man, but really want to?

I can’t put it here, hahahahaha! Oh god, hahahahahaha! xD

IF I wasn’t married, the thing that I’d be scared to ask would basically be, “Would you be okay with dating me, knowing that it wouldn’t go anywhere because I’m actually into girls?” I really wanted to ask this sometimes, but didn’t. Reasons.

25. If you were a man for a day, what would be the first thing you do?

I’d stop. Being a guy sounds like hell for me, lmfao. I’d be so fucked.

26. What do you find most attractive about each sex?

With regards to non-physical stuff, I don’t think there’s anything. Quite frankly, there’s far too much overlap between the genders. Whenever that doesn’t exist, it’s due to sociological and cultural factors, so I don’t let non-physical stuff sway me.

With regards to physical stuff, I like the natural strength of guys, particularly when it’s blended with a steely sense of confidence self-control. That’s just hot to me, hahaha.

With regards to physical stuff, I like everything about women. In fact, I should just stop right there, before I start writing weirdly sapphic prose. Or, I could just write it as an addendum.

27. What’s one thing you’d love to learn more about?

People. You know. How to actually make friends with them and keep said friendships? I suck at that. I’ve read books; they haven’t helped me, yet.

28. What is something you’ve never done that you’ve always wanted to do?

Not gonna write that here. xD

29. Why haven’t you done it yet?

Oh shit, come on!

Because, I haven’t gotten around to it, yet!

30. If money didn’t matter, what would your dream job be?

Writing. Lmfao. Unlike a lot of people that write as a hobby, I really wouldn’t mind doing it as a career. I can actually write 5,000 to 10,000 words of fiction a day when I’m not working. If I wasn’t a self-conscious idiot, I could probably have already published a billion novels.

31. If you had off from work today, what would you do?

I do have off today, let me see what was I doing…

Oh yeah! Curled up into a ball buried in the recently cleaned laundry, crying about loneliness and mourning the friends that I no longer have, the family that I’m distant from, and how fucking miserable I generally am on Father’s day.

Yeah, Zoop was right there trying to shake me out of it. That’s actually really hard to do. When I’m sad, it’s basically a lost cause to get me out of it. At least I don’t go jumping off a bridge. That’s nice, right?

32. What was the last thing that made you cry?

Please see 31!

33. What was the last thing that made you laugh?

I laugh easily and often, actually. The thing that made me laugh last, though, was watching Skyfall, where I laughed insanely at the badass cinematography, the good looks of Daniel Craig, and the awesome music.

34. What is your favorite memory?

Waking up one day, sick of work and life, checking my phone, and seeing the first love letter that Zoop ever wrote me. It was so unexpected, so sincere, and so utterly beautifully written. I died twice.

35. What’s the last thing that REALLY embarrassed you?

I was at work, talking to my boss, and I talked about @zoop putting me on a leash. I uhhh, I probably took it a few steps too far without thinking about it, and I’m pretty sure that HR would have slapped me solid. I have nothing else to say. Hahaha. ^^;

36. What is your biggest fear?

Sharks.

37. Do you have any regrets? What’s your biggest one?

Yeah. I regret not trying to stay in touch with my friends from when I was younger. I was always super shy and my family moved a lot (like gypsies) when I was small. As a result, I lost people that I really, really, really liked. I just shrugged and dealt with it, because I couldn’t really get enough energy to ask for and keep phone numbers, etc.

38. Have you ever broken a law? If you haven’t what is one law you’d love to break?

Hahaha. I used to be a hacker~

No, not the tech hackers. I was one of the people that could get passwords by pretending to be a system administrator in a really nicely written email. You can connect the dots, hahaha.

I can’t really say the laws that I’d break. o3o

39. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Challenging a guy twice my height to a knife fight. (I had the bigger weapon but I would be dead if he’d taken me up on it, hahahahaha. He had been getting weird with me and pulled out a knife to “make a point”. Instead of, you know, running or calling out for help. I pulled out a switchblade and asked him if he liked the sight of his own blood. Yeah, I was an edgy teenager.)

40. Would you have a conversation with a stranger?

Nope! I hate talking to strangers. o3o

41. Would you tell a stranger they have toilet paper hanging from their shoe? Or their dress tucked into their underwear? (Or anything else that is embarrassing to be seen in public)?

Ugh! Here I am contradicting myself.

Yeah I would, but not because I liked them or anything like that, hahaha. I have a need for some degree of order in the people around me. I’m the kind of person that picks crumbs off of other people, adjusts the ties on guys, and generally always mills around complementing people on looks. Yeah, I’d tell them, because IT WOULD DRIVE ME CRAZY.

42. What’s your favorite joke?

I like the genre of jokes that starts out with SOMETHING or SOMEONE entering a bar. Yeah, I know that’s just lame. O3o

43. Are you a dog person or a cat person?

Cat person. I love dogs but I can’t care enough to take care of them. I have my sister for that, and I’ll bring the kitties.

44. If you could be any animal, what animal would you be?

I’d be a lynx, just because. o3o

45. What’s one show, movie, or book, you’re embarrassed to admit you enjoy?

The Handmaiden, I think. For context, look it up.

46. How do you think your parents would describe you as a child?

Hmmm.

My mom would say that I was intelligent, independent, rebellious, and secretive.

My dad would say that I was gay (true), charismatic, disappointing, and a total and complete liar.

47. If you could go back to any age or time of your life, what age or time would it be?

I wouldn’t, lmfao. I can’t think of a single time period that I would survive in as compared to the present. If I go to the wrong time, I could end up enslaved, not have the right to vote, or be in danger of getting hanged. So, like, no, I like today, much thnx. It isn’t perfect but its better.

48. What’s something you believe in that not everyone else does?

I believe in ghosts, vampires, extraterrestrials, and supernatural things. However, I also believe that there are general explanations for these phenomena that rely on good, old-fashioned science.

49. What’s one thing you would say that makes you unique from other people?

Well, I guess I have a lot of the traits of someone with an anti-social personality disorder (keep reading, pls) -

* I’m charming and can be quite witty.

* I’m decent enough at manipulating people.

* I can “navigate” the law if I need to.

* I’m sometimes extremely and intensely reckless.

* I have been a magnificent liar.

* I used to get into a lot of fights.

* I forget “bad feels” about hurting someone fairly quickly.

* I’m generally a little “upset” on the inside.

In my big personality post, I got Chaotic Evil. That’s not actually an inaccurate result. I’m pretty chaotic, and I guess I can and have been “evil”. My natural tendency is to see other humans as “resources”. If I wasn’t watching myself, I guess I’d be a little bit scary. Maybe I have been in the past? This is probably why I have no real friends?

However, I do watch myself. I don’t act out on my worst desires, because I have a code of conduct that I have trained myself to follow to keep myself in check. I never violate it, because I don’t want to end up like my dad, who had all of the above traits but didn’t bother to exercise self-control.

It’s actually almost like a super power, to be honest, because I can recognize people like me and outmaneuver them to stop them from hurting other people. In the past, I have stepped in and managed to stomp on self-declared sociopaths before they managed to injure others.

Btw, I don’t consider myself a sociopath or anything remotely like that. I’m really not. I think that I’m just an empathetic type that ended up nearly losing the life lottery and developed some strange survival skills as a result.

50. What is one thing you feel your life is missing?

Friends? Hahaha, I’m a lonely bastard. It’s probably my own fault. >_>

Online and at home. Out and about, I can never really be myself because, to be frank, I’m way too weird. I guess I could find a place to hang out or something, but I’m an idiot when it comes to people, so I’d be afraid of f****** up with someone locally.

I’d f****** get rid of it.

18. Do you believe in love at first sight?

f**** yeah.

19. Do you believe in soul mates?

f**** yeah.

Oh s***, come on!

Oh yeah! Curled up into a ball buried in the recently cleaned laundry, crying about loneliness and mourning the friends that I no longer have, the family that I’m distant from, and how f****** miserable I generally am on Father’s day.

I was at work, talking to my boss, and I talked about @zoop putting me on a leash. I uhhh, I probably took it a few steps too far without thinking about it, and I’m pretty sure that HR would have slapped me solid. I have nothing else to say. Hahaha. ^^;

* I have been a magnificent liar.

Thank you for answering even though it did get so personal! They were fantastic answers.

In regards to question 28 (something you want to do but haven't done)

Is it sexual? :P

Do you like 'deep' movies? Do you have trouble understanding them? I ask because I referred The Bunk to you when he asked me about Coen Brothers movies. :P

I love deep movies, tbh, and I have no trouble understanding them. I mean, how would I have trouble understanding them? I have actually taken formal training in the interpretation of Greek and Roman literature for crying out loud! I'm basically a story wonk. There's no such thing as a story that I have trouble understanding.

With that said, some stories that people think are "deep" are actually not very deep at all. Other things that people consider "simple" are actually fairly complicated. :-/ It really depends on what the exact story of a movie is.

Zoop is found to be the prime suspect in a murder case. What would you do to keep her from being taken in on possible false charges?

I'd lie, cheat, steal, bribe, and kill. :sarcastic:

However, more than likely, if Zoop is the prime suspect in a murder case, then she's probably guilty. :?:?:?

I'd still do all of the above. Job security for the prosecutors. (o^.^o)

What are you addicted to, if I may ask? :P

Hahahahahah! I swear that you ask the best questions.

Hmmm... My addictions? I don't have many actually! I'm one of those people that like their independence too much to become reliant on anything.

With that said, I'm totally addicted to @zoop. Not just because we're married. Almost from the moment we met, we have been talking almost constantly, lol. According to those that know us irl, we resemble a stereotypical elderly couple. Sweet and probably far too familiar with each other.

Huh. What would I do?

Nope. Sounds like the perfect reaction. xD I would too if I ever made it to the Big 50. :D

Which of the four seasons do you love and hate most?

I love Summer, omfg, I LOVE SUMMER. I also hate Summer, OMFG, I HATE SUMMER!

That's it, there's this one season and I have a really complicated love/hate relationship with it. It's hot, it's humid, it's gross... The sun is out and the days are long and bright! (o^.^o)

This is my curse, hahaha.

List someone you know and describe them in five words.

Do you believe honesty is the best policy?

No, no honesty is not the best policy.

The best policy is whichever one keeps me out of trouble and/or results in some reasonable degree of gain, while not negatively impacting those that I derive pleasure from interacting with or negatively impacting my own ability to derive pleasure from my own circumstances.

Honesty is honestly far too simple.

Glass half full or half empty? Or is the glass just malformed?

It depends.

If the glass contained something sweet, then I drank it so it's empty.

If the glass contained anything else, then I probably left it there, so it has whatever it had in it.

The glass itself is probably a mug with Pusheen the Cat on it. Because, that's what I like.

Have you ever screwed up everything, but no one ever found out it was you? What was the screw-up you gotten away with? ? Was it a recent event? How sneaky were you when you got away with it?

Hm.

[spoiler=I am totally an angel.]

I never screw anything up. This may sound arrogant, but allow me to explain. If I'm in a position where I'm making a mistake or I've made a mistake, I will probably just fix it. This means that I haven't screwed everything up, doesn't it?

Believe it or not, but I'm actually neurotic about not fucking things up. I don't like making mistakes. I hate, hate, hate it when I fuck things up. I make lots of little errors, but I have never actually screwed up everything, hahaha. Not yet anyway? Hahahaha.

This is a really fucking good thing, actually, because I work in accounting. For a government agency. If I ever "screwed up everything", I would go to prison. Would not collect $200; I would go directly to prison. That would soooo not be fun.

I know what you're thinking. "But, you're Chaotic Evil!" Yeah, that's true, I am. I totally am. However, I'm a really smart Chaotic Evil. Because I'm smart, I recognize that Prison = Bad and Freedom = Good. So, I avoid simple fuck ups.

My kicks come from politics. Who is trying to screw me over? Can I screw them over first? Who is weak? Can I benefit from boosting them up? Who is strong? Could I kick them for fun and run away before they know it was me?

With that said, YMMV in interpreting this. After all, I have the reputation of being a literal angel. Most people that know me offline (but not too well) consider me to be sweet, naive, and innocent.

Though, I guess you could just say that I have a really great "front"?

while im here ill ask a question! whats the most fun part of writing for you?

The most fun part of writing? It's the emotions.

Whenever I write something, I feel. If it's something sad, then I'll cry. If it's something happy, then I'll laugh. I'm the kind of writer that lives through the emotions that they put down on paper.

The most fun of writing is when I am lost in the story, in the emotions of the characters and the feeling of the world. It's actually like the ultimate escapism, because I forget that I'm writing. Instead, I just feel like I'm a part of this fantastic place.

It's fun because I get to feel so many things. I guess that's a big deal for me, because my normal emotional state sometimes seems a little lacking? :-/

NOTE: I apologize if it seems like I'm a little not myself, atm. Had a terrible end to the day. Currently feel like burning something down. :'(
