What is pain?

a curse?

a gain?

It is all how you perceive it,

doesn't matter if you don't believe it,

pain comes in the night,

it comes in the day,

fighting with pain,

leaves you in disarray,

the toll it takes,

your soul it breaks,

you plead and cry,

until the day you die,

from your mistakes,

there is no escape,

they live on inside you,

there is nothing you can do,

nothing you can say,

that will help you forget that day,

or is that just what people say?

it is different for many,

the cause of there pain,

rape and blood for a penny,

all for personal gain?

You may feel pain for what you have done,

pain for what you have become,

pain and longing,

wishing your life were different,

hatred toward those who stole your innocence,

your pain caused by there ignorance,

was it them or was it you,

who is the cause of your pain? 

covered your happiness with shame,

blown out your once shining flame,

your spark of hope,

your joyous laugh,

now turned into,

a self pity blood-bath,

the time is short,

why waste your life?

your last resort,

to save you from this strife,

is yourself my dear,

yes you heard me right,

no more must you fear,

and cry alone at night,

do not give up,

you cannot say,

it was someone else who made you this way,

your life is yours,

and this is all I can say,

you have to be the one to heal your own sores,

yes life is unfair,

life is cruel,

life sits back on his chair,

and watches you act a fool,

he laughs and giggles,

at your dismay,

but is it truly he who makes you feel this way?

yes he torments you,

you cannot deny,

but what you must do

is softly reply

"I will not be phased,

by your wickedness and guile.

I will not continue

to live my life in denial,

of who I once was,

of who I must be.

I want to be happy

and I want to be free"

you must cast off his bonds,

from you and your soul,

you may quiver and shake,

you may cry and quake,

but it is all worth it,

you will see in the end,

you control your life,

its as simple as that,

no matter what happens,

the pain and the strife,

how you choose to take it,

is what matters in life,

you cannot be defeated,

if you stand up and say,

"I am God's child,

I pray every day,

I take back my life

right now from your grasp,

I accept I have suffered,

and I now will move on,

for it is I who determine,

how I feel.

happy or sad,

it is all up to me,

I choose to see the glass half full

or half empty".

@SAO LILDOOP Very good read in fact, quite a philosophy you suggested and I agree with you, I see life the same way hence I see everything from the bright side. A problem isn't a big deal if you know it can be dealt with or not, a problem is only real when you don't know how to treat real issues.
