What’s the good and bad things of where you live?

You can say one good and one bad thing of where you live or your country. I am curious of what’s the difference between countries or places.

I live in London and one obvious bad thing about this country is rain 🌧 currently it is very sunny and temp of 28C but during winter all I does is rain rain and rain. Also it’s a contradictory country won’t go into details why.

one good thing about London is the multicultural society 🧙‍♀️🧝‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧛‍♂️🧞‍♂️ This is mad as I meet people from around the world and is my case is one of the best thing about London. Especially the food 🍥🍙🍣🍜🌮which is also comes from around the world. They all taste nice.

Hm,I live in Germay, just moved here few months ago, good thing about Germany would be that they also have a lot of different people so you get to meet people from all around,I just met a guy from Egypt which wouldn’t happened if I stayed in my home country.

And a bad thing, well one of, is that(at least for a city I live in) they think only about work and money, I mean that is okay to one point, after that you are like chill man,but they are just,arbei,arbeit,arbeit....

also,It is wrong for me to say this because I did move here because of the work and money, because my home country is reall poor, but it still bothers me a little.

The Good:

   Nice weather year-round.

Close (~an hour or two drive at most) to hiking, camping, skiing, ocean, mountains, and urban center (night life, dining, etc.).

Did I mention the nice weather?  :)

The Bad:

Brush fire season.  Every.  Frikin.  Year.  The brush gets extremely dry in the summer and something/someone always lights it off.17075_1308792395873_2256886_n.jpg.c7b8beb7b85e2f974fbbb8253c580e0d.jpg

Most fireworks outlawed as a result.  :(

Air quality sucks, especially in fire season.

Extremely high cost of living.  (House prices are currently about US$600-$900/sq.ft.  Electricity is $0.32/kWh.  Taxes are insane.)

   Freeway traffic.  OMG!

Good:

Apartments are decently cheapish? I live in a three bedroom apartment and its only $423 a month. Plus all my family is less than an hour drive from me.

Bad:

Ignorance everywhere.

@Part_time_anime  I'm a bit inland so the beach is kinda far.  There's a national forest area literally within walking distance, and a ski area about 30km away as the crow flies, but the nearest beach is over 60.  (100 for the good one.)  Still, that's only maybe a couple hours by car, even on our freeways.

The good:

  • Pretty nice weather throughout the year.
  • The food here's pretty awesome.

The bad:

  • You're judged by your clothes.
  • Men and women aren't thought of as equal.
  • It's very polluted.
  • The solution to problems: destroy stuff.

The good:  Close to a national forest, close to the ocean (and scuba diving the best warm water wrecks in the world), peaceful during the winter, good agriculture and fresh fruits and vegetables across the land, good wholesome neighbors, never flooded (my land anyways), family is close but not too close

The Bad: Hurricanes happen by on occasion (even if they are far off the swells stir up the vis), higher property costs than the rest of the state, the ocean takes up too much geographical space so I have 1/3rd the potential job opportunities as everyone else (or must commute an hour or more), really hot in the summertime, the hysterical societies around here are more hysterical than historical, tourist season

@Sasazaki Chan

there all negative. There must be a positive thing about where you live.

@Beocat

your place sonds like an adventure. There is a forest agriculture all that sound amazing. I will probably spend my time in the forest. And agriculture I would love that I can grow anything.

@AniMeFReaK

you cant tell but there is also inequality between men and women in where I live most women and men get treated differently. And appearance is all that matters in some area over here.

The only positive is my place of living (which is like a Japanese museum) because of the historical artifacts I've collected over the years (however, it's all moving once I depart from this god-forsaken land.). Another positive is anything that's imported from Japan or derivative of Japan. In other words, the only good things about this place come from other places. The place here is of very little significance if not of no significance at all.

Good:

  • An hour away from the US capital.  Have been there several times.  It's pretty nice for a day trip.
  • People are generally nice if I don't go south or east.

Bad:

  • Really expensive living (most of my coworkers pay 1k+/month on rent)
  • Not many jobs that compensate well enough for the cost of living.
  • People are really arrogant/aloof around the area of where I work and the closer you get to the capital.

I live in Canada.

Good stuff:

Nice people, Thanksgiving early, more holidays than in America.

Bad stuff:

Winter lasts way too long, liberal's like Trudaue allowing immigrants in without any knowledge on who they are, don't show many important Basket-ball/Foot-ball games and instead show Hockey(I don't care about sports but my dad and bro do).

  • 4 weeks later...

I live in the middle of nowhere. It's either all fields for crops or a cow pasture

Good Part:

● Quiet, not a lot of people

● I can pretty much do anything and doesn't matter how loud I can get

Bad Part:

● Quiet

● Not much to do. If you want to do any shopping you have to drive a half hour to an hour to do anything.

Good:

  • Get to see many people from around the world, thanks to my city being a big tourist destination.
  • People are treated as equals and are mostly kind, contrary to am image projected by a group of people who do not realize how good they have it.
  • Relatively good weather for 1/2 to 3/4 of the year, though some places have it better.

Bad:

  • Summers are terribly hot (not good for those with medical conditions that add more problems with temperature extremes, aside from the usual hyperthermia or hypothermia)
  • Practically everything is in a casino.
  • People look down on you if you are mostly introverted.

  • Cost of living is low and affordable. No sales tax, either.
  • Population density is extremely low.
  • The area is gorgeous and mountainous so there's a lot to do if you enjoy the outdoors. Hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, and hunting are all popular recreation.
  • We are allowed to drive 130kph/80m on our roads simply because distance from point A to point B is a big number.
  • Craft beer scene is pretty legit.

All that’s sounds amazing. Instead of craft beer things. I don’t drink and it will be weird if everyone there is drunk most of the time. However hiking sounds fun also driving very fast. I love driving fast.

Said Gambling Mecca. There are many places that are big for gambling, such as Atlantic City, but nothing quite as big as Vegas.

The good:

  • Nice flat
  • pretty quiet, despite being very close to the centre of the city ( curtains+soundproof windows=happiness)
  • the rent is not expensive

The bad:

  • I can´t currently find anything bad on my living, but I used to have annoying neighbours upstairs (blasting music on full volume, loud parties...)
