Which anime or scene pulled on your heart strings?

For me. After the big fight between sasuke and naruto. Sasuke realised what he has done is wrong and the ending showing the true bond between their friendship. Also how they both held hand in blood and the whole scene creates a very sentimental feelings. This is the only anime and scene where it actually touched my heart. 714C4183-5041-4178-90CE-5BA21F25CB6E.thumb.jpeg.eef686dfabac506fc3f5a3b07e4db125.jpegC8F4E577-C983-4FD5-AD92-0407B22F9EDF.jpeg.3fadb92d723428bb675ca56afb0a5f52.jpeg

I don’t there is  there is any other anime that could ever create feeling as this scene did actually the whole 3 episode it lasted for really touched me.

Whats your opinion did this scene touch you or was there any other anime or scene that touched you the most.

Please feel free to recommend me a anime that creates emotion such as these.

Bit of a typical one, but we always love the 'Menma, we found you!' scene from Anohana.

Other than that, a ton of moments from 3-gatsu, and some of Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryouko. Particularly the big construction robot trying to dismantle the aquarium, and the end of the plane episode.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Dude, just don't get me started on this anime film. It's one of my favorites and it hit me straight in the feels; especially toward the ending. I bawled like a little girl 😭.

When Marnie Was There

Another anime film I madly fell for and again I cried.

Grave Of The Fireflies

A very old anime that I heard about being a very sad anime film. I decided to check it out and there really is no happiness in the film, ever. Yes it has a few short snippets of funny but when you think about it, it makes you even more sad. If you want something to cry about, look no further.

Wolf's Rain

I'm going to be honest; when I first started watching this I thought it was going to be all action but then as the more I watched this series the more I come to realize it has some pretty strong feels. At the end it had me crying nonstop. I still can't watch this without crying.

The main Anime scene that has always hit me the hardest and especially now that I am a parent is the scene in FMA with Hughes.. YOU ALL KNOW THE SCENE I'M TALKING ABOUT.. I bawl every. single. time.

Your Lie in April also hit me pretty freaking hard.

I feel you. That movie was also sad. Spoilers. Yeah Especially when he leaves her at the end and she was avoiding a relationship this whole time.

I definitely agree. This anime also had a very sad ending. When they disappeared one by one. Especially when his friend leaves him with a high five. I though that was pretty sad.

Everyone one says this anime is very sentimental. But I have watched this whole anime and enjoyed it. And I didn’t find this anime sad at all I just liked this unique fighting style of alchemy.

That scene where Toboe defends Quent just killed me to watch the first time. I mean, the ending is as bleak as it gets, but for some reason this scene hurt more than the others. It felt like the peak sad point, like nothing else that happened after could really be much worse. Blue and Hige come close, but damn. Just the way it all happened with Toboe makes it personal.

YES That's when my bawling marathon begins. Tsume was my favorite back in middle school but then i grew up and Toboe became my favorite in the series.

Honestly fir me the first anime to truly pull at my heart strings, or make me cry is dbz. The particular scene being when Goku first came back fir the 24 hours in the buu arcs. The same was true when he had to leave. It was honestly very touching, and surprisingly mature for dbz which at the time caught me off guard.

I never knew dragonball z can be that emotional...

Hmm let me think its pretty hard to hurt me and I seen tons of anime a couple anime that had scenes that got to me were these

1) Black Lagoon Episode 15: Where the female romanian twin is tells rock about her past, then shortly after they get to her dropoff to escape, she tells rock goodbye and that we should have a picnic that man pulls a revolver and shoots her in the head, followed by that ending op The World Of Midnight whew...that was rough...

2) Kanon I forget the episode number but Yuichi is on the hill top with Makoto, she's just about to die and he marries her then she just disappears right there in his arms right after, whew Makoto's whole story arc in Kanon was tough to endure I really loved Mei's Story arc it hurt me to as did Ayu's, lol the entire Kanon anime 2006 version hit me so hard.

3) Bagi The Mighty Monster Of Nature this whole film is very very hard to find its been a long time since i watched it and the only way to find it was on youtube but that was also 10 years ago. It was pretty tough to watch.

4) Dusk Maiden of Amnesia

5) New Game !! episode 12 where Aoba faces Yagami before she leaves for france after announcing her departure from eagle jump and the long hard worked for relationship that Aoba worked for to have with her role model in the game developing industry.

6) Clannad, Kotomi's Story arc that was deep, I fell in love with Kotomi so hard...

7) School-Live when you learn the truth about megumi

8 ) AKB0048 when Konata is the last of the 75th generation and her idol Minami tells her she is gonna graduate so konata can succeed her

9) Gosick ^^ I know I always mention this anime lol

10 Toradora when Taiga beats up the student council president lol that was rough

Inuyasha always lol had lots of moments that pulled on my heart and finally i promise one more mention it is Wolf Children

Maybe we should advise people to put deaths of characters, or certain/important scenes in spoiler and write the name of the anime before that, maybe even which arc or episode, so people know if they want to read it?

Anyway, march comes in like a lion season 2 hit me hard, especially the first half. A rollercoaster of emotions!

Pokémon movie one

Pikachu trying to shock the petrified ash while everyone watches ...

Owarimonogatari S2

The last episode, especially when Araragi stopped ougi from entering the void

Kaiki's dialogue with nadeko in Hanamonogatari - you know which one if you've seen it!

Episode 10 (if I remember correctly) of Made In Abyss. It made me uncomfortable, anxious and sad all at the same time.

Also, basically the entirety of A Silent Voice was a feels-trip for me.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. The hidden truth came out of nowhere and it hit me hard. Never thought I'd cry watching anime again, but it seems like that show had other plans for me.

More people should watch Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. It was really damn good.

A lot of the titles I've seen in the thread do get me.

1. Your Lie in April - It takes everything in me to re-watch this series. I ALWAYS cry.

2. The ending of Cowboy Bebop - That was a real WTF moment for me when I finally got to watch it after seeing almost all of the series but the last handful of episodes on toonami. I wasn't expecting it to be that friggin sad.

3. The ending of Angel Beats!! - Okay, I honestly had to restart watching this series at least twice. I used to hate slow burn shows. But the tears for the last episode were falling before I even realized that I was crying.

4. Several parts of Gurren Lagann - To this day, the BEST story in a Mecha anime EVER. The whole Kamina thing in the early part of the series. Then another whammy with Nia in the finale, OMG I had to pinch myself because I couldn't believe they's pull that crap TWICE.

5. The Maes Hughes scene in the first FMA - Okay, this is a gem of writing. I admit I knew it was coming for several episodes, but the way they did it had me bawling.

6. Fairy Tail - Not anything sad really, they all have tragic backstories, but I envy the bonds the have. Just tears of envy and longing for friends like that myself.

Yeah, I find myself moved by quite a few scenes in anime. I forget a lot too.

Eesh. This one is a bit hard for me. Like, I know there have been several animes that have pulled at my emotional strings. Just cannot recall them all or specific scenes (been awhile since I've been touched..unless we talk of anime movies).

When I was a young lass, the scene in Sailor Moon:
Season 1, Episode 34: When the scouts and tuxedo masked were caught in a trap devised by Zoisite and the rainbow crystals were gathered. Ultimately it led to Damon being severely injured and Usagi in tears as she comes to the realization that they knew one another in their past lives. Thus, the epic song comes on and she finally transforms.

I mean I was a little kid and I was so touched.

Other shows I recall that I have had a moment of sadness with were:

  1. Nana
  2. Honey x Clover
  3. Orange
  4. Erased
  5. One Piece
  6. FMA - Major Hughes death.
  7. Naruto - Asuma's death.

There are countless anime's that have really pulled on my heart strings so I'll mention one that I saw a few months ago which really got me.  I watched Maquia while it was still airing in cinema's and there is one scene at the end that brought the majority of the audience to tears (I teared up, but managed to hold in until I was alone).  I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it yet, but if you have seen it you will definitely know which scene I am talking about.
