Optic
The Sony Japan store is offering Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II engraved PlayStation 4 consoles to conicide with the upcoming release of the game in April 23: The cost is 41,980 yen. This could be the perfect excuse to import a PlayStation 4 as I haven't got one yet. http://store.sony.jp/Special/Game/Ps4/Neptunev2/ But which one to choose? Purple Heart: Noire: All the CPUs: I'm leaning towards the CPU group black one.. Seacliff
Wow, can't say I'm really looking for a PS4 (I'm a Nintendo boy), but these look cool. Sony consoles don't get that many special editions, so this is pretty special.
Optic
I changed my mind and pulled the trigger on the white CPU group one. I think the engraving looks better on the white one and white PS4s look pretty cool. Release date is in May so essentially a pre-order. Also tucked in the PS4 Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II game as well, though it will be an interesting as it will be in Japanese of course. Maybe by then I will have a decent grasp of the language. I should also note that I had to use a Japanese mail forwarding service to place the order on my behalf as I obviously don't have a Japanese mailing address. Last time I used one of those services was when I purchased a DVD from Amazon.JP quite awhile ago. This time round I used a different forwarding service - will give feedback on this forwarder when I receive my package.

Optic
Time for an update... My brand new PS4 console arrived along with Victory II: BUT, the custom engraved HDD cover was missing! Inside this Japanese notice was tucked in: After confirming with some Japanese contacts there is a delay on the Neptunia engraved HDD covers. Will have to wait mid-May until it arrives. Then I'll have to organise that to be forwarded again using the forwarding company. In the meantime I'm just enjoying the game. It's very playable in Japanese, many of the elements are the same as in Re;birth 1 and Re;birth 2. I do like how you can pause the dialogue and replay certain lines over and over. Tutorials are very clear with screenshots. To be honest though I can't understand the non-essential conversations with no voice acting (side events and NPCs) I can't understand it as I still can't read enough Hiragana, Katakana and basic Kanji. Some screenshots I created from the PS4... CGs are gorgeous as usual: The new main character for this one is Uzume Tennouboshi, with her CPU form being Orange Heart. Uzume and Neptune get off to a bad start but become friendly to each other eventually. Funnily enough Uzume is quite serious but turns really "cute" in her CPU form: Will post more as I progress further.
SanguineTear
Aw that's lame that you didn't get the cover yet, but everything else looks sweet~
Optic
Cover finally arrived a week ago and I installed it yesterday. Some photos. Stock HDD cover and the box it came in.. Our favourite CPUs from GameIndustri - Neptune, Vert, Blanc and Noire send their regards. I really do think white looks good. Remove the existing HDD cover (just pull it upwards with the PS4 standing upright): And then slide the new one on, done! It doesn't look bad when the PS4 is horizontal. But clearly it shines when it is vertical: Moved it back to the Home Theatre. Ambient back-lighting adds a subtle glow even with the lights out. A few updates on the actual game.. Making steady progress. Without diving too much into the plot - I'm really glad to see Purple Heart and Purple Sister again, very touching scene with Orange Heart. I noticed I haven't shown any screenshots of what the actual in-game graphics are like outside of the CG dialogue scenes. To be quite frank, as you come to expect from the previous Hyperdimension Neptunia games, not great. But it is an improvement over the previous games: And now off to a new area... Optic
Well, I finally finished this game. First time I got the bad ending due to not looking at certain scenes before proceeding on the main event... So then I got the good ending. But based on how many CGs I have that are still locked I know for sure there's a True Ending. In any case, my Japanese ability kind of prohibits me from going any further unless I follow a guide so I'm shelving this for now. Also, these two scenes of Neptune and Noire towards the end in alternate dimensions were hilarious:
