Watched Black Clover episode 1 yesterday, and finished episode one of Mahoutsukai no Yome now.

Home is my first preference, but I don't mind studying in a public library too.

I mean, it'll be popular sure, but I'm talking about how people feel about it. Root A got a lot of hate as the series went on.

Both of them were announced back to back so it's not.

I'm glad that they got a new season I loved the anime, some do some don't but i liked it

I kinda liked the first season. I wasn't a big fan of the second one. But, I will give it a chance if it gets good buzz.

An anime adaptation has been announced for the manga series 'Tokyo Ghoul: Re', the on-going sequel manga series to Tokyo Ghoul, for the year 2018.

Studio details haven't yet been released. More details are yet to come.

I personally kind of liked Season 1 of Tokyo Ghoul, but I wasn't a big fan of Season 2. I was also told by fans that the second season doesn't follow the original manga, so, I'll first check out the original manga series before watching it.

Far as I know one season was basically split into 2 so this is technically 4, but honestly, I don't care enough to edit it.

No, I looked it up. Season 1 was 2-cour, Season 2 was 2-cour as well. In that SAO fest, they kind of marked it as Season 3. But, you know, it's your wish. I probably won't be checking this anime out either. I may, before this season starts airing.

I've no knowledge on SAO, but, I'm pretty sure this is season 3.

Shokugeki no Souma: San no Sara-->I really liked the first season and I liked the second one too, so looking forward to this.

Black Clover-->Simply because it's an adaptation of an ongoing popular shounen manga.

Mahoutsukai no Yome-->Interesting plot. Have to watch the OVA's first.

Going to wait for 4-5 weeks before I check these out:

Anime Review: Made in Abyss

Made in Abyss is a Summer 2017 anime that wasn't very popular at first but as weeks went on, caught steam due to word of mouth.

Plot:

An enormous pit and cave system called the "Abyss" is the only unexplored place in the world. Strange and wonderful creatures reside in its depths, and it is full of precious relics that current humans are unable to make. The mysteries of the Abyss fascinate humans, and they head down to explore. The adventurers who venture into pit are known as "Cave Raiders." A little orphan girl named Rico lives in the town of Ōsu on the edge of the Abyss. Her dream is to become a Cave Raider like her mother and solve the mysteries of the cave system. One day, Rico starts exploring the caves and discovers a robot who resembles a human boy.

Art: The art is just gorgeous. Every frame is detailed and really lush. It makes you want to go to that world.

Animation: The animation is really fluid, and consistent towards the whole series.

Characters: The anime has great characters, who are really compelling. The great thing is that the main characters are all children and they don't come across as annoying. The anime is focused more on the characters than on action sequences or 'world-building'.

Story: The story is very intriguing and the anime does a wonderful job of hooking you in the first episode. It's filled with everything: drama, mystery, action, comedy.

Dialogues: The great thing about this anime is that it doesn't spend a lot of time on expository dialogue to explain the world. It's a good case of 'show, don't tell'. So, the things that characters speak are necessary things that convey their thoughts or feelings and not narration that explain the plot.

Soundtrack: The soundtrack is excellent. It elevates the anime and makes you feel exactly what the anime demands.

Action: The action sequences aren't the major focus of the series, but when they happen, they vary from really fun to pretty brutal. The animation is at its best when the action kicks.

Tone: The anime has an adventurous tone as a whole, but as the series goes on, some dark and horrible stuff happen so it's not always something that has a light and fun tone. But, this is something that can be uneven at times.

Pacing: The pacing is not even and sometimes, it may get a little slow.

Overall, this is a very, very good anime, with great characters, art, animation, sound. I highly recommend it.

Score: 8.5/10.

That''s awesome it's actually cool that you watched seasonal anime since 2012 I absolutely love people who binge watch anime because then other people can see what anime's you like and thank you for your response I'd love to know what other anime's you like and which other anime's you've binge watched.

You never mentioned your list, you know.

Other anime I binged, that are also suitable for binge-watching, include Akatsuki no Yona, Baccano, Fate/Zero, Kill la Kill, Log Horizon, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic.

You can binge every good Shounen anime. I did so with Bleach(first 63 episodes, haven't watched beyond that), Hunter x Hunter 2011(I mean, I caught up to it when it was airing and watched the rest every week), My Hero Academia(a new series, and season 2 is ending this Saturday, and I highly recommend it), Naruto/Naruto: Shippuuden, One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, Shokugeki no Soma(season 3 starts October 4th and it's a good time to watch it).

Watching seasonal anime is something I did occasionally, in Spring 2013, Summer 2014, Spring 2016, Spring 2017 and Summer 2017. Other than that, I usually binge anime, since I've only been watching it since 2012, and there's a lot of stuff out there. Usually, something becomes 'binge-watch' worthy for me when there's a lot of things that click: great characters, writing, music, animation and voice acting. But, most of all, the pacing. It's not easy for me to watch a slow-paced show all at once.

Naruto was the first anime I ever watched, knowing that it's an anime, and I watched that at a very rapid pace, because in my opinion, it has all of the stuff that I mentioned above. But, the anime that I watched next, which is still my all time favourite anime to this day, is the one that I consider to by truly worthy of binge-watching, and that is Death Note. There's a pretty good video explaining why that is so, on YouTube, and it explains how the plot is always moving forward, and the clock is always ticking, and you are on the edge of your seat.

I binge watched 70% of all the anime I've ever watched, and most of my favourites come from this experience. They include Code Geass, Steins;Gate, Psycho-Pass, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and many others.

I also agree with ItsSammy: Another is suitable for binge-watching. I didn't binge AoT, though, I watched it weekly, when it was airing in Spring 2013.

I continued My Hero Academia Season 2 and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations from Spring 2017. Among Summer 2017 anime, I watched two: Made in Abyss and Tsurezure Children. I thought Made in Abyss was a unique, original and really fun and adventurous anime, with occasional intense and violent scenes. Tsurezure Children is a unique take on school romance, and I liked it a lot. Since My Hero Academia Season 2 is airing and is getting over this week, it's my favourite. Among Summer 2017 anime, Made in Abyss gets my vote, but, it's not like I've seen a lot of anime this season.

These are anime I gave a score of 8 or above. These are some of my favourites. I ignored a few which have fan-service, since that's not something for me too.

Also, Hunter x Hunter 2011 has 148 episodes. Naruto/Naruto Shippuuden has a combined episode count of 720 including fillers, One Piece 806(still on-going), Rurouni Kenshin 94. I suggest you skip these for now and watch the other series. Maybe get Hunter x Hunter 2011, that's very good. And, remember, the 2011 version, not the old one. Also, get Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, not Full Metal Alchemist. Full Metal: Alchemist: Brotherhood is the most recent adaptation and it follows the manga more closely.

I suggest you start with Code Geass, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter 2011, Psycho-Pass, and Steins Gate. All of these are mainstream hits in the anime community, and are considered to be some of the best out there. If you look at the MAL stats for these anime, they are really popular and also have a great score.

You have an animelist or something? It can give people an idea of what you like, and also make sure that people don't suggest stuff you've already watched.

In my opinion, the way anime is meant to be watched, is one episode every week. Anime is something niche, and word of mouth can spread only if it runs for a significant period of time, in this case, 13 weeks.

Seasonal anime have become popular because fo the rise of internet, reddit and forums. Since no one has seen the up-coming episode(like duh!), it provokes discussions and fan-theories, that leads to the anime becoming popular. That's how Attack on Titan became popular. Yes, the source material was already popular, but the anime took it to new heights. I think that 2006, 2007 brought a radical change to this sort of thing. You can look up the anime that aired during those two years(Death Note, Code Geass, Guren Lagann, Haruhi, etc.,).

An anime usually runs for one cour(12-13 weeks) or two cours(24-26 weeks). You are confusing seasonal anime with second season or third season of an anime. Seasonal anime run for 12-13 weeks, from January to March(Winter), April to June(Spring), July to September(Summer) and October to December(Fall).

As I already mentioned, they may last one season(13 weeks) or two seasons (26 weeks).

To give you an example, Code Geass season 1 began in Fall 2006, and ended in Winter 2007. Code Geass Season 2 began in Spring 2008 and ended in Summer 2008. So, the second season doesn't air in the exam same season(i.e., Summer, Spring, Fall, Winter). They release it when it's ready, and also it includes a slew of marketing stuff.

According to the official website for One Punch Man, season 2 is going to be announced by JC Staff and not Madhouse. New staffs have also been announced, most notably for the director and sound director.

I don't really know much about the source material, but I thought Madhouse crushed it with OPM season 1. I really enjoyed the anime, and it's kind of a bummer that they aren't doing season 2.

As far as JC Staff is concerned, I really liked their adaptation of Shokugeki no Souma, and I can't wait for season 3, which starts this fall. I also loved Bakuman, it's one of my favourite anime.

Subbed. English isn't my first language, and while I can understand it without dubbed(like when I watch a Hollywood movie in theatres, and there's no subtitles), I'd rather watch it with subtitles. Now, this isn't exactly a good analogy, since anime is mostly in Japanese, but, I feel like I can understand stuff better with English translation written at the bottom, than just listen to English being spoken. Plus, like 99.9% of the anime I've seen are its subbed version, so, I got used to it, so, I feel like if I watch dub it'd be like uncanny valley to me.

That being said, I watched a couple of anime in dubbed(back when I started watching anime around 2012). These are:

I thought these dubs were completely amazing. I watched both of them after I watched the subbed version, and they were as good as the original. Pretty good that the only dubs I've seen are top-notch ones. That's why I don't have unfavorable opinions of dubs, I haven't seen a bad one.

I just finished Akatsuki no Yona(and its OVA's). I'm gonna resume Fairy Tail now. Have to watch from Edolas Arc.

Airing anime in mainstream television would mean that content would get regulated and monitored regularly, and I don't want that to happen to anime. As long as it's niche, I'm okay with that.

At what point did I say anything about grammar? FYI means "For Your Information" which is used to either state an opinion rudely, or to state something that is fact. You obviously know English well enough to know how to use it on a forum, so you should know to check meanings of certain phrases before you start using them if you aren't certain how to use them or what context they carry. Even if you think you know, it never hurts to look to make sure. Even those who speak English as a first language do that. The statement of "it's not my first language" is a hard sell for me because of that, caution should always be used when a second or third, or whatever number a language is for a person just in case. It also doesn't help that I had no way of knowing English wasn't your first language so that defense comes off as too little too late because I already said what I said.

Again, I don't know why you are ranting about something irrelevant. Not everyone is careful enough to search whether whatever they use is correct or not. Nor do they have the patience. Now, because it's not my first language, it gives me the prerogative to not search about it, not the opposite. And, I already told corrected myself in my previous reply, so, I don't know what your problem is.

Moreover, if I had said 'FYI Death Note was bad' to someone who liked it, from what you are saying, it may have been rude. But, it was a reply to someone who merely asked a question, and the live-action adaptation was the most recent example. It was a simple mistake and you are blowing it out of proportions.

I wouldn't say it's guilty pleasure tho. The way the movie was constructed just seems way too much like an intentional comedy. The movie is merely based on the original work. They didn't destroy any characters, they only created new ones based on old characters. If you approach it as anything but a comedy the movie is pretty f****** bad tho. The cinematography is incredibly good, but the writing is really "meh". The acting was the best part of the movie as it felt incredibly cheesy. This feels like is intentionally a B movie and as an adaption of the original it does a decent job. Shame they didn't recapture anything but the campiness from the original (which, let's admit here, it was pretty campy at times).

I see. For me it fit under two categories: guilty pleasure and so bad that it's good. And, I wouldn't exactly call it 'campy'. I personally prefer 'over the top'. Without the swift direction, camera angles and editing, the anime would have been boring. And, I couldn't view it as unintentional comedy because it's 2017. If it had been 1997, I would have been okay with watching Batman and Robin and being entertained for all the wrong reasons(of course, I wasn't even born then). But, I can't excuse them today.
